Any pin lovers arriving THursday?

Anyone planning to try and get one of the special "medal" pins being released?
I don't arrive until Friday and think they will probably be all gone by then
So if anyone would be willing to pick on up for me, please send me a PM and we can discuss details.

Jeff and I arrive on Wednesday evening, we'll probably head over there early to see how long the line is...if it's not too long we'll try to get a set of pins or two.

When are the pins being distributed? I'll be arriving on Thursday morning around 11AM at the resort so it will probably be tight getting over to the expo for 12PM. But if you give me some details, I'll give it my best shot :)

I just checked. The pin replicas of the Marathon weekend medals will be released at 1pm at the expo pin trading event.

If anyone is going to be there, I would love a Donald medal pin. If it doesn't work out that's OK too - it will probably be a zoo there - but it would be awesome if it did!

Thanks for the heads up Kira! Does that mean there will be lots of pin traders there as well? :laughing: I think I should make it there by 1PM so I'll head over there before going to pick up my packet. If I get any, I'll let you know at the Pop meet. :goodvibes

I really, really want the replica pins too. All three....yes...I am greedy :)

My DH and I fly in on Friday around 11:00 and I am afraid that I will miss them.

I didn't hear nothing about this medal pin. I am sure there won't be any available when I get there on Saturday but that's ok. I will live. I didn't know about it to begin with. I did order the regular pin so I will have that. I always put those pins on my medal lanyard.

I used to be so into this... and then one day it hit me.

WHAT AM I DOING AT DISNEY STANDING IN LINE TO SPEND MONEY! LOL!

This was when they had those pin events at that building between Canada and the UK... I was in there watching grown men/women almost fight over pins etc. Just sad :( So now I get just things I really want that have NO line. I ordered the special Marathon pin for example and will probably pass on these medal pins. Sadly LOTS of them will be gone to the "pin sharks" who will be camped out at 11 am and have no connection with the marathon but will buy them in bulk to sell or "trade" (Yeah right!)

I bet they are all gone by 2:00 pm. on Thursday. Other than the racers who want them, you'll have the pin traders there scarfing them up.

What do you want to bet that you can buy them on eBay later that night or the next day at the latest?

I would love a set for my office since I am doing the Dopey (Goofy + 5K). But since I won't be there until Thursday late afternoon I realize I have no chance in getting them.
