I was wondering what bags have been successful with water issues? I carry my camera as well as DH and DS cameras. I would like to have a bag that would prevent any water from the rides penetrating the bag.
Thanks!

I have a small waterproof bag I bought at a sporting goods store...camping section. It's only about 4"X6", but I just use it for my wallet and small items. They have larger ones...all the same construction...clear heavy vinyl, with a roll down top that closes with a velcro strip. Mine has a cord that I can hang around my neck or cross body. I think mine cost about $5 when I bought it in 2004.

We use the gallon sized ziploc type bags. The only rides we've needed them for are Splash Mountain and the Kali River Rapids. Worked well for us on both.

I just used a cheap poncho, bought at the dollar store. When we went on the wet rides, I wore the poncho and made sure my bag was on my lap. (We went last February, and the weather was not warm enough to warrant walking around soaking wet.) The poncho worked fine. Just be sure to hand it to someone waiting in line when you're done with it, so they can use it too!

I take a gallon zip lock bag and just put my camera/camcorder in it before wet rides. I really didn't have any issues with things getting wet inside my bag at WDW on Splash. We didn't ride Kali this time but we did ride a similar, MORE wet ride at Universal IOA, and my stuff did not get wet. I wore my bag under a poncho as well. There is also a covered "bin" that you can stuff your things in on Kali, which should keep things mostly dry.

We put ours in a gallon zip lock bag and it worked great.
The most trouble we had was figuring out whose cell phone was whose when we pulled them out of the bag after the wet rides. :rotfl:

I always have baggies on me so we just put stuff in that if we think it might get wet. Other than that...I went to the camping section in Walmart and bought Camp Dry. It is a waterproofing spray. I have waterproofed our luggage and any bags that we carry at Disney. We have a pick up truck so the waterproof luggage is a good idea. I have never had a problem with anything leaking through the waterproof. The spray costs about $5.
