I know the official time is 3.5 hours to complete the 1/2 but since I am totally not trained I am wondering how long I have to "really" finish?
I am in corral E wave 2 so from when the last person crosses the finish line till time the course will close how long do I really have?
Thanks
Kim

Kim,
My guess it will take the last person in wave 3 about 10 min to cross the start line. This means the clock would start at 6:25 and 3 1/2 hrs from there. But it might only be 5 min so be wary. Watch for yellow flags on the mile markers as this means you are below cutoff pace.

Yikes, is that all, I was hoping it would buy me a bit more time.
Oh well I will at least start and hope to finish.

Your start is at 6:00 so the start is 15 minutes earlier than wave 3. That means you should gain at least 15 min or about 1:10 min per mile extra(17:10). This could be more if you move to front of your corral.
You are a strong walker and should have no problems.

Hi Kim! You finished the Scotiabank 1/2 in well under 3.5 hours? I have no doubts whatsoever that you will finish this half as well! :cheer2:
