Just was wondering if anyone knows whats up for this meet in a few weeks. I dont know if I missed out on the planning information or not. Im a slacker like that.

Hey Carrie you beat me to it I was planning on posting the same Question. I'm still planning on going if there's enough interest. I know BV's Plans have changed so I've started looking at hotels in the area but wanted to check and see if it was still on before I booked.

Hey guys...
I know the house plan went out the window, but Tom (BV) and I are still planning on going for a day/night trip. I think Angy and Timmy are still interested, too.
Tom has the deatils, but we are staying at a hotel near both FW and MS. I'll have him post the name and maybe we could all stay in the same place. It wasn't too expensive and it provided limo service to and from the casinos, so Carrie- I plan on having a drink with you!!!
Tom is in a meeting now, but I'll have him post details in a bit.

OMG people...how do you live in CT. I was just looking at accuweather for an idea of weather next weekend and I see 5* for the overnight lows!!!!!!!!!!!
5*???????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont think I have a coat warm enough for 5*!!!!!! and that of course is without any wind factored into it....... What in the world have I agreed to, Carrie there will have to be plenty of alcohol just to keep my blood thinned out.... ...and I think that Jimmy Buffet was probably thinking that the combination of alcohol and hot tubs is not a good one...(and from a medical standpoint it truly isnt) and he would prefer for ppl to have more than one or two of the signature margaritas :woohoo: (and btw alcohol and the gym is also not a good combination, and a friend of mine learned that the hard way during a trip to DC where they decided after a night of heavy drinking it would be fun to use the fitness room of the hotel we were staying at.....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: needless to say he wont be doing that again anytime soon :sick: )

I went to the Grand Opening of MV in Grand Caymen and THAT was a party!
I think they approve of the extra alcohol consumption in conjunction with the hot tubs and waterslides...they bring cute girls in bikini's and hot guys in swim trunks (no speedos, please!!:scared1: )
This then brings on more drinking to do stupid tricks to impress the cuties of the opposite sex, which then leads to MAKING OUT!!! Carrie-I think you should write a letter to Mr. Buffet- maybe they could install the water attractions before next weekend!

I think Mohegan Sun is completely smoke free which makes that a better option for me - secondhand cigarette smoke makes me really ill. I had to leave Jelly Rolls one night because of it. I've heard there's a lot of that at FW, but as I said I've never been.

I think everyone who's expressed some interest in the casino trip has my phone number. If not, you should PM me before next week. I have a concert rehearsal that ends early Saturday afternoon and a performance Sunday afternoon, so my original plan to make it a full weekend gave way to the arts. Unless iut change. We were at Margaritaville on Dec 28. The smoking isn't nearly as bad as FW and there are more smoke free casinos at MS but I don't think it is smoke free.

I'm pretty sure Margaritaville does not take ressie's but not 100% sure.

A good meeting place: In the center of the casino is a HUGE blue/white glass sculpture. (the internal entrance to the hotel is there along w/ kids quest just for a reference point). The bar area right next to the sculpture is where we usually meet peope who aren't familiar with the casino. If your do valet parking, just ask someone when you get out. If you take a service, ask someone when you enter the casino) I believe there is a cascading waterfall just above th bar area also.

I am leaving about Noon tomorrow for Boston (3.5 hrs) to spend some time with my Hunny. Then we will head to MS in the afternoon after his rehersal.

How about meeting up at Margaritaville around 7:30pm?
Whoever gets to MS first can put our names on a waitlist for dinner/ drinks... Just so you all know - Margaritaville is the last restaurant in the new casino. Walk around the outside of the new casino and it will take you right to it.

If any doubt of where you are going- just ask any employee. I don't recall if it's listed on one of the signs inside
