Did anyone watch Dick Clark new years rockin eve? It was great to see Dick Clark after all these years and I think it was a very brave thing going on in front of millions of people with his handicap:thumbsup2

I didn't catch Dick Clark this year - watched Fox from Philly this year to see the fireworks. Last year I saw him at New Years, though. It's kind of sad to see a holiday fixture, not to mention a rock and roll fixture, like him in this condition. Gotta admire his tenacity, though.

I watch him. I know it does bother some people to see him that way. Somehow, the older I get, the more I appreciate his being there. I know his speech is impaired, however he's understandable. I think he's doing something equally as important with his life now. Putting a face on people who have suffered similiar disabilities in their lives. Showing the public that life does go on..you may not be exactly the same physically...but you're still "you". Valued, loved, and respected.

He didn't say what his handicap was. He might not have been talking about a golf handicap.

My mom says I was born 40...so that would make me about 90 now!

That wasn't Dick Clark, that was an AudioAnimatronic! It wasn't even the latest generation AA! (Sorry, I thought he looked awful... too much plastic surgery) He sounded fine though.

Ya think?...I had always read that he never had any cosmetic surgery...but then again,...I guess you shouldn't believe everything you read!

Sure looked like someone had draped a rubber mask of a 20-year-old's face over a skeleton. Nothing moved right. Kinda Michael Jackson-esque to me. Sorry, am I being catty?

i just figured that was because of the stroke. My dad had a stroke and one side of his face appears different from the other..especially when he's tired, even more so.
