Disney Visa Points Expiration ?

On my Disney Visa Rewards statement, it says that some of my points will expire in May 2011. Does this mean that they will expire completely on that date, or do I just have to transfer them to the rewards card before that date?

I'm not planning to go to Disney again until 2012, but I don't want to lose my points!

Only the points say that are going to expire. If they said 10 points expire 2011 then only ten points expire. If you put them on a card the card expires at the end of the year. if you are planning to go in 2012 you could book your room or package and use the points that are going to expire as part of your down payment. It's only an idea, hope this helps.

I believe it just means that you have to transfer them to the rewards card before that date and then they will be good until the actual reward card expires.
BUT I am not 100% sure of this. I have used my rewards points in the past to buy disney gift cards from disneyshopping online. They do not charge you to ship them and the cards don't expire. In my opinion this is the best way to save the disney $ until 2012.

points must be transferred to the card by the expiry date. Once expired they can be used until the end of that calendar year.

I have $2200 to use this year!!!!!!

If your rewards expire May 2011, you could request a card just before that, which will expire Dec 2012 (cards always expire the end of the next year). Or, like others have said, you could transfer your rewards and use them to buy a Disney gift card, which doesn't expire.

You can buy Disney bucks with the rewards card. We bought bought Disney buck with a card that was just about to expire so we can use them on our neat trip.
