Looking at St, Maarten excursion options. Someone suggested we go to Club Orient for the day. Is this possible. Does the resort offer a "day rate?"
Thanks

No need to rent a room there... you can hang out on the beach. All beaches are public on St Martin. Just ask your driver to take you to that end of Orient Beach.

Thanks, Dave!
Can chairs, umbrellas, etc be rented there? Can we get drinks at the bar (or is it an all-inclusive/no cash resort)?
THanks, again.

I believe the answer is "yes" to all of your questions.

Last July we took the Cruise line's excursion to Orient beach. They took us to "Waikiki Beach Club". This year we rented a taxi on our own and was brought to "Bikini Beach Club" which is right next to the Waikiki Club. It was amazing that we were able to go to the same beach for so much less money.
We rented umbrellas and chairs and had a lite bite at the bar. It saved us over $200 dollars for our family.
When we went to St. Thomas, same thing. This time the taxi brought us to EXACTLY the same beach club as the Disney excursion (can't think of the name). We did not even have to pay for chairs. We had the flexibility of staying as long as we wanted, unlike the Disney excursion which brought you back around 2:00. People were shocked from the ship when they asked how we got there and how much we paid.
Do it on your own by taxi and save some serious bucks.

What the difference between Waikki Club, Bikini Club and Orient Club?

I am not sure what Orient Club is....but Orient Beach is a very long stretch of beach with different sections called different things such as Bikini Beach Club on Orient Beach or Waikiki Beach Club on Orient Beach. Maybe Orient Club is another little section of Orient Beach.
They each have a color scheme...I know Waikiki Beach had Maroon umbrellas and cushions while Bikini Beach had a different color. All the beach "clubs" seem to have their own color, I guess so guests can identify which section of the beach they are seated at if they take a walk down the beach! There is a nude beach on Orient Beach (it is all the way to the left if you are in the water facing the beach. Some nude and partially nude bathers walk the length of the beach sometimes. It never really was a problem. The kids were too involved in other things to notice much.
