They offered these at Race for the Taste. Do they do the same for the half or do I need to bring my own banana and water?

Pre race: Dixie cups of water - no bananas.

Disney figures you paid for the privledge of running through their parks so there are very few "extras." Compared to most races I have done, Disney's pre and post race food giveaways are pathetic. But I don't come for the food so no complaints.

Also, when I finished the half I was a relatively eraly arriver and they loaded me up with food at the finish. I was actually telling them to stop giving me food. When I finished the full, I was much farther back in the pack and they were almost miserly with the food. Funny cause the people in the back need the food more than the bunnies in the front.

Don't worry though, most of the resorts have a breakfast spot open about 3am where you can BUY a banana and a bottle of water for about $7.00!!

Good to know. I'll just stop by the grocery store on our way out Thursday morning and pick up some groceries.

Shanny,

Bananas out on the course at mile 13 1/2, just as we all head to the sewage treatment plant.

I think many of the offerings last year were about exhausted as the back of the packers crawled through.

I know when we got to the gu station, they were taking down tables and handing the gu out of almost empty boxes.

It scared me because I didn't think we were going that slow so there should have been close to 2 hours worth of people behind us and they were already packing up!!!

I hate that they are in such a hurry to give things away to the first wave of runners but I guess when you have been waiting to hand out food for 2-4 hours you get really excited when there is finally someone to take the food. Its a shame, because the people at the back are the biggest heroes.
