View Full Version : I took the plunge (Connections)!
After much research I just joined and ordered 10 Quick & Casual vouchers. We're going in June and I hope it works out well for our family of 4.
When it said I'd reached my limit since I ordered 10, does that mean my limit today or forever?
Also I'm assuming if you cancel within 30 days you don't get the $25 gas card, which is okay.

You did what? You joined Connections! Are you nuts?
J/K
They only let you order 10 at a time. If you go back on you can order ten more, or however many you need. Just make sure you use a credti card NOT a debit card.

I don't think you are nuts! ;) We also ordered a few vouchers for our trip last month and it worked out well! And, you can't beat their ticket prices...:D
SplashMountain you about gave me a heart attack!!!! :D :D :D
If we share them, our 10 vouchers ($110) should get us 5 meals! Sounds pretty good to me!

Splash,
Why shouldn't you use a debit card? I don't have a credit card, that's why I'm asking.
thanks

Hi Liz
I joined Connections, received my Quick & Casual vouchers and cancelled within two weeks. I did receive the form to fill out for the gift card after I cancelled the membership. So I took a chance and sent it in and I did receive my $25 card!
We used 4 Q&C vouchers at Beaches and Cream and our bill would have been $125 - not bad for $44 in vouchers!!!

The website is http://www.connections123.com/ . You will get more information about the WDW meal vouchers from this board than you will from the website.

You shouldn't use your debit card because connections likes to double charge. I placed 5 orders with them and 4 out of the 5 times I was double charged. That would have killed my checking account! There have be a lot of people that have been double charged. I think everyone does get the charge removed, but it was a hassel. This is the only complaint I have about connections. I am sure my case is the extreme and that many have had no problem. Maybe they just didn't like me :(

I joined Connections in January and I am glad I did. I did not cancel and i have ordered from them a few times. I have ordered a total of 40 Connections vouchers so far and i will probably order more. I have also ordered quite a few tickets. When you order more than 10 it does give you that message but you can order more. I will probably order another 10-20 Q&C vouchers before my membership expires. I have ordered for some friends and 25 for my family. 4 of us were there in January and there will be 8 in September, 2 in December, and 4 in January. We also stay at the Boardwalk, so it is very convenient for a meal. We will often use 2 vouchers and get a ceaser salad or chili and have it packed to go, and heat it up for lunch the next day. Can't beat the value!

Hi guys!
For some people connections123 works out okay and that is good. However what happened to you SplashMountain is very common.
Do a search on MWI connections- it's the same folks, the website is called connections123.
If you search for- connections better business bureau- you will see that they have been double charging alot of folks- even some people who were not members but apparently connections somehow obtained credit card info and charged people for things not ordered.
I would love it if I felt safe enough to order from them but,,,,,,,,,after reading through hundreds of cases online where people felt taken advantage of I just can't chance it now.
I believe there are even a couple of state law enforement officials looking into this situation now.
I'm glad it has worked out for some of you and maybe they have cleaned up their act since this all occurred.
Too bad as the vouchers are a good deal, I just don't think I can go for it now though.

go ahead and send in the postcard for $25 gas card--you will probably still get it
my past experience has been that you still receive the promotion, even if you have cancelled
heck, it can't hurt!

Please reassure me that you all received your vouchers & park hoppers from Connections! They're making me nervous . . . I signed up online, heard nothing for a couple days. Called and they said it takes 3 business days for the computers to relay the info. Next day I got an e-mail with a membership number & a note my packet would be sent in the mail. Logged on the site ok, but decided to order Park Hopper Pluses via the phone. When I called she said there was no record of my membership # but she would check with her supervisor. Now they do have my membership #. I ordered the Park Hoppers and Q&C meal vouchers--it took me literally 20 minutes to spell everything out for the order taker. Called back a few days later to make sure everything was ok (charge not showing on my cc yet). They said yes but it takes a "few days" for the credit card to go through (what does that mean?). Now I can't log onto the web site because it's saying my zip code is invalid. Everyone is very nice on the phone and it's only been 1 week since I started this. But I'm getting nervous about spending $700 with them to save $100? Please tell me they come through eventually! And, yes, I will photocopy my passes when they arrive!
Erin, I'm sorry you're having problems. So far things have gone smoothly for me but I know others have had problems with Connections. I didn't order any park passes through them because we have AP's. I just ordered 10 vouchers and I received them via UPS about 6 days after placing my order. Double billing has been a problem for some people but so far that hasn't happened with me. I hope you get things resolved and end up saving some money too!

I have not had any problems. I have ordered lots and lots of stuff. Everything comes so quick and the value can't be beat!
Keep good records of what you ordered and when, I have not called them at all, I find it easier to just go on the website.
You CAN order more than 10 of the vouchers, I have ordered 15 at one time. I got the message, ignored it and it went through, Good luck!

I signed up online and got immediate confirmation via e-mail with a member number. I ordered park hopper passes after obtaining my member number from the e-mail and got them in three business days.
I did receive a call a few days later from American Express to verify my charges that same day I bought my tickets through Connections. I asked what made them "red flag" that day's charges and they told me that a mail order sight did try charging twice. Connections was the only "mail" order amount they questioned me on. The others were local stores. They said the first time did not go through so I was only charged once but they still wanted to check that it was a valid charge.

I used connections last year and had absolutely no problems with the passes, the food vouchers or the service, I was charged only once and used a debit card, I am ordering from them for this years trip as well. Yes, several years ago they had some major problems, but as far as I know that has all been straightened out. I know I had NOTHING but great results from them.

Thanks for all your positive feedback. They came today, exactly what I ordered. I guess my suggestion would be to order in plenty of time, if possible, and just keep the faith! Each time I called I was told they had no record of my order. Then they checked with a supervisor and said they found the order and that it would be mailed out within a day or two. In the meantime I checked my credit card and nothing has been charged to it. Today when I called they first said no record, then came back on the phone and reported that the passes had, in fact, been sent the day after I originally placed my order (6 days ago) and gave me a UPS tracking # (of course 1 digit of the # they gave me was wrong so I had to spend even more time on the phone with UPS). The price of these 4-day park hopper pluses is such a good deal (I figured I saved about $100 on 3), that you'd have to decide if it's worth the hassle. Also, I was surprised that there was no receipt of any kind indicating exactly the $ amounts paid/charged. If it had just been Q&C vouchers, I wouldn't have been so nervous. But we're talking about a LOT of money for the park hoppers.

When I go to www.connections123.com, I do not see anywhere to sign up. www.mypoints.com is down so I can't see if they still offer this program. Anyone have any insider links?!

I joined Connections 6 weeks ago, waited 2 weeks, and called the toll-free number to check on my membership. Because I joined online I received a message that I would be notified via e-mail confirmation of my membership. When I did not get the notification, I joined again(thinking the first time did not go through), but did not get a membership # again. When I called, they were able to give me my member #, and cancel the 2nd membership(that I did not know I had!) Used the #, ordered online on Sunday, and received the park hopper, 10 Q&C vouchers, 2 lunch vouchers, and 5 $10 cards for Darden restaurants(Olive Garden,Bahama Breeze, Red Lobster) in 3 different envelopes via UPS the following Thursday. The correct charges showed up on my cc about 2 days later, right down to the $79.95 membership fee. Since I did not cancel my membership, I am going to ask relatives and friends if they would like for me to order things for them(my sister wants to order some movie tickets and $10 cards for restaurants for gifts) in order to get my money's worth out of the membership for this year. I will decide after this year if it is something worth keeping another year.
