Marathon shirt - wrong size ordered

Ok so when I first signed up for the marathon back in January almost a year ago I didn't realize that the shirts are tech shirt (they are right?) for some reason I was thinking t-shirt and I ordered a L like I do with all t-shirts. I learned at the EEC that the large tech shirts are way too big for me and they won't do exchanges.

So my question while I am thinking about it is if anyone mistakenly ordered a M and really needs a L I would be willing to do a trade. Otherwise it will be a nice tech shirt for my DH who doesn't need it. :laughing: I am assuming that there will also be marathon merchandise for sale.

I am willing to bet that you will be able to get the correct sized shirt when you pick up your packet at the expo.

Don't count on trying to exchange at the expo..I tried to do that last year and was told no way! It can't hurt to try but don't be surprised if they say no.

My boyfriend, who has paid NO attention to this whole thing, today printed his waiver and noticed I had ordered him a medium. So I get the "you ordered the wrong size lecture" I pointed out "I think it's a tech shirt" and got the "Oh I guess that's the right size" half hearted apology. (I did screw up and make him a year older then he is. Hopefully they won't notice when we present his ID!)

I have the opposite problem - I always go a size up for tech shirts because they're sausage tight on me. I ordered a small back in January before I started running so this should be interesting :laughing:

CarolA - I don't think it would matter unless it puts him in a different age bracket. But then again I don't know for sure

Everyone - thanks for your responses. I knew from experience at the EEC that you can't exchange. I guess I can hope that someone will need to switch and I am in the right place at the right time!!
