Fantillusion - where best to see princesses?

Hello all, we are off to DLRP on Thursday and I have left the planning a little late due to Christmas/general ill health, so hoping you can help.

I am trying to find out a good place to wait with little kiddies for Fantillusion. I read on here that good place was to sit on the steps near the princess stage, but then read that this is where you see the baddies get really bad. This would freak my girls out! They would much rather see where the princess float transforms. I hope this makes sense to those that have seen Fantillusion as I have not.princess:

I don't think so either but I've only seen the parade 3 times and I'm wondering have I missed it :confused:
Just thought I have it on a DVD somewhere I won't be able to rest now until I've had a look.

It's highly likely i've got it wrong so please don't go to any trouble! I thought I'd read somewhere that somehow the princesses/prince float into the air....but thinking about it maybe I just read "princess float" and my imagination did the rest! Thanks anyway.

The aladdin float lifts him and jasmine into the air if thats any help and it stopped outside adventure land, but this is when the parade came from fantasy land, i heard its recently changed to start from main street.

All the floats have lifting mechanisms on them. When they stop all the characters lift up some how. Like Emma said when we saw it they stopped in the hub, but if they have changed the route I'm not sure where they stop now.

Thanks for that, glad I'm not imagining flying princesses! Will ask at City Hall when we arrive, maybe they can help. My girls are still rather traumatised by standing right next to Scar when he started singing during the OUAD parade, so hope to avoid seeing Maleficent turn into a dragon, that sounds very scary...

Oh sugar, I can't remember where we stood that evening. We were rushing from Mickey's Dinner and Fantillusion had just started. Looking at the map, I think we must have stood at the corner near Market House Deli (and there was a shop on the other corner lol) - there were chairs out there and we just grabbed one for DD to stand on it.

That evening, the parade started from Main Street (we didn't expect it to start from there - we were actually initially trying to head to Main Street so that we could get the end of the parade lol... but suddenly stopped in our tracks when we saw the floats coming from Main Street end lol). Ursula's float stopped right there as well (quite a while)... and then Jasmine/Aladdin's float stopped there as well after that. Theirs was the last 'princess' float.
