I love the flash back 80's glasses with a modern twist of them being digital.
I also love her music.

Yup, she calls her style "retrosexual" :rotfl:
They play "Just Dance" aaaalll the time on the radio down here, but I prefer "Poker Face".

"Fame is when everybody knows who you are and they want your autograph. But The Fame is when nobody knows who you are, but everybody wants to know."
~Quoted from Lady GaGa last week during a radio interview.
It kind of sounds like something a confident drag queen would say, doesn't it?

Have you ever met a drag queen that WASN'T confident? :confused3
In my experience, the shy timid type aren't really drawn to drag.:rotfl2:

Okay, so I had to google this Lady Gaga person.
Is it just me or does she look like Dana Plato with black hair?

Sorry.....I meant to say "over-confident", as I've found lots of them tend to be. (At least the ones here are.)
I dunno, a timid and shy drag queen might be interesting to see. She might raise the bar for drag performance. :)

It depends on wich wig she's wearing :rotfl:
She's as close to a drag queen as you can get and still be female. She's also been the host of "NewNowNext Music" on LOGO, and performed at one of the LOGO award shows.
She posts all her new videos on Youtube as well, HERE is her official channel. (http://www.youtube.com/user/ladygagaofficial)

Oddly enough, she is singing on Logo right now. I didn't know her name before, but I like her stuff.

I am so sick of that Just Dance song, poker face is good. I just hate how Perez H keeps going on about how Christina Ag is ripping her off and copying her. Hmm I'm, sorry but I really think Lady Gaga bears a striking resemblence to Gwen Stefani.

...Perez H...
Well here's your first problem...
I cannot stand him, and to think at one point in his life he actually wasn't all that bad looking and I thought, damn, he a cute gay boy.
I think if I ever saw him in person I would just have a Kathy Griffin tear him to shreads with words moment.

I've only ever seen her briefly, on LOGO. (Which, by the way have you heard anything about its being taken off the Brighthouse and Time Warner networks)?
I like her story though (read a short bio on her). I like ultra quirk, and that woman surely does do ultra quirk in a great way!
So is Lady GaGa a man or a woman?

Yeah I love her music! DBF got the CD before just dance was even on the radio around here, then when i DJed at the gay bar I played pokerface on his recommendation. It was a huge hit and 3 weeks later it has been released, though it still isn't on the radio.
I do hate how the radio loves to overplay songs. I really like just dance, but they are gonna make me hate it. I need XM...

She's not really my cup o' tea, but at least she's trying to be a little different than most of the other performers her age.
And yeah......I can't stand Perez H. Why is he famous? He's someone who's trying to be a stereotype of the gay population with opinions that are supposed to represent us, and he just doesn't pull it off. I dunno about you, but a lot of his opinions don't match mine. The only reason he outed Lance Bass (as if we didn't already know) was so he could get a little publicity himself, and in my opinion that's pretty weak.

LOL she's a woman :rotfl:
I'm not really a fan because all her songs sound like Akon crap. I hate that guy...

I really don't see at all how just dance or pokerface sounds anything like akon. They are different beats and styles

Lady Gaga is the only good thing that's come of my embarrassing addiction to entertainment/ gossip blogs.
Love her. :thumbsup2

I think maybe he means the synthesized (sp?) voice work.
Of course the same could be said of BT, Britney Spears, and pretty much any electronica artist ever :rotfl2:
No I mean because both Just Dance and Poker Face are produced by Akon and you can hear his voice in the songs as well. I mean I like the songs just fine, but I'm just not a fan of his work.

What is it with producers that feel it's necessary to have their vocals put in other people's songs? Timbaland drives me crazy because his voice is in about 75% of the pop songs from the past 3 years.....and the man can't sing. :rotfl2: I'm convinced the pop stars get a production discount if they agree to let him/them sing in their songs.

I wish I would have seen this thread earlier. I'm a little obessed with Lady Gaga!! lol. And I know everyone says this, but I loved her way before the radio attempted to kill Just Dance! I called to request it once I had fallen in love, and the DJ replied "Who?" lol.
And I also agree, I really cant stand Perez. I saw him on the View a few days ago and e was trying to act like he is this great, respectable guy who just happens to write gossip. I say BS!!! Oh well.

Lady Gaga reminds me a bit of Lady Miss Kier from DeeLite.

I think that Lady Gaga just tries too hard to be hip and edgy. The only thing I like about her performances are those nifty digital glasses.

I don't know about that. I'd hardly call the unitards "hip", although they work on her :lmao:

Lady Gaga LOVES her monokinis.
She's magical, fierce, and scares me slightly.
But I really like her. Haha

While I'm not totally fond of her choice of styles, I will say I'm PUMPED she's coming to Richmond. No one comes to Richmond!
