It figures the one time we receive a discount, it is not addressed to us! :sad2: We do have the bounceback offer for next September, so it's not like we don't have a discount. However, since this is 40% off, we might have upgraded to a better resort as this would be a better discount than the free dining if staying at a deluxe. DS has ressies at the Poly for that time for MK view and this would save him a lot over the free dining. I sure hope he gets this postcard. ;)

You wonder how their computer systems must work. My DSIL never makes their reservations (DD does) and he lives next door, so how they put his name with our address, I'll never know! I just know when I saw the card in the mail tonight when I got home from work, I knew it was a discount and had to peek! Then the card accidentally opened up (it wasn't glued shut very well....:rolleyes:) and I had to read it! LOL!! DD was laughing when I told her about it! :laughing:

Thanks. It’s a decent deal (the 4/3); however, we have APs--so I would save more by not having to buy one day base tickets, especially when I’m already sitting on a set of 5. Come one postcard/email!!

Okay, here's the scoop: yes 40% is for all resorts with availability, ex: June 1-5 (our old dates, I just cancelled my BB for those dates today), only thing available at CR with discount was 1 BR suite at over$1k per night, but WL cy view is $204, std mods are $111 and std values are $69 per night.

Just wanted to add that I got this in the mail today too. I just called and got a lot of info. We originally planned to go Dec. 5-12, but of course that week was blocked off, why I wonder? Anyhow, I got several price quotes for the following week. Here's the info I got
values- $49/night Wow!!!
PORFQ- $89
Carribean-$89
AKL- $183 Savannah view
Grand Floridian- $239
Beach Club- $201

I do not know where to stay. We'd love to try GF to be close to MK with our 2 year old, but the values/moderate are so cheap. We could save a lot of money for other fun things. We've never stayed in a value or moderate though.

How far in advance can you usually use PIN codes at DVC resorts? I was checking the website just to get some prices together for various options because we've been talking for years about a trip with my whole family (mom, brother & future SIL in addition to my crew) and 40% on a 2 bedroom villa would make that a lot more possible. But I can't get anything to come up for any DVC property for our dates (either Nov 30 to Dec 6 or Dec 13 to 20). I assume they aren't fully booked since the DVC member booking window hasn't even opened yet. So how long does Disney keep those rooms aside for DVC bookings only before making them available with these codes?
