I just purchased an inexpensive necklace (<$20) at the Italy pavillion in World Showcase a few weeks ago for my sister...and it was Murano glass.

I was purposefully looking for something small that was from Murano because my sister visited there when she was in Italy and fell in love w/ the glass there (and brought back a few pieces)...so I know it was definitely Murano.

I wasn't looking for more expensive pieces, but I would suspect that they would have them as well.

Do you happen to have a picture of the necklace? It sounds interesting.

My sister is ... I want to say religious but she wouldn't agree w/ that statement. I guess the best description is that she "has faith."

There were a few different kinds of necklaces (as well as earrings) but I ended up picking up a Murano glass cross for her as one of her Christmas gifts.

It isn't "high end" jewelry by any means...and comes on a synthetic cord (I thought it was leather until a few days ago) but it is pretty and totally my sister's style.

She LOVED the necklace...and is still here visiting w/ us so I'll try and snag a photo of it before she leaves.

I got 3 of those necklaces a couple of years ago to give my my nieces. I love Murano glass and the kids liked them. Sorry, no pictures. They are a piece of glass on a cord necklace if I remember correctly.

And Minnie, I am like your sister. I have faith, but I am not "religious."
