Can anyone confirm that there is still, or is not a Pirate/Princess Party for the Princess 1/2 marathon weekend? I still haven't registered yet and was going to buy the party ticket. It is on the online registration. However I thought that they had cancelled all those parties for 2009. I was SO hoping that they would keep the one for the race weekend though. Anyone know for sure? And what happens if they aren't having it and I purchase the ticket? Surely I will get my money refunded? Thanks for any info!

I had heard that they already refunded money from P&PP tix for the Princess 1/2.

I've left a voice message with Disney Sports about this - the person I need to talk to was out of the office for the holidays, returning (hopefully) today. I haven't received a refund yet! I'll post the answer as soon as I have one!

I left a message too. They still have that option on the website for registering. I'm still hoping that they are going to have it, otherwise it is poor that they haven't taken it down yet! Hopefully we will find out soon.

Hi Princess Pals,

I spoke today with Adrie at Disney Sports. She confirmed that there will NOT be a Pirate and Princess Party....but stated that they are diligently working to find a suitable substitute, perhaps a party at another park. Once plans are finalized they will post it on the website and if you have already purchased a P&P ticket and the new plans are not acceptable you can get a refund. She said Disney Sports was very surprised by the cancellation of the P&P parties and that they will do their best to come up with a comparable event. So now we know....and will just have to wait and see what they come up with.

Hi. I talked to her today too. We plan on just waiting to see before we purchase our tickets. Sounds like they are trying to make something nice and it would definitely be a "one-of-a kind" event!
