Here is my cabinet as it looked last January. It has more stuff in now, but I went through it yesterday and it has been purged and cleaned up. THe bottom photo is my work in progress drawer. I love this! It makes it so much easier to just work on a little bit when I have a few spare minutes. Surprisingly, I can't find a photo of my diningroom table which is my work table.

I love the way that you used the smaller slide out shelves to store and organize supplies. I also love a "work in progress" drawer. It makes perfect sense!

Love your scrapping space, so neat and well organized.... I am too embarrassed to post photos of mine. I have a tiny room in the basement that doubles as the computer room.

THanks. But seriously -- mine was a complete disaster before I did this. It still would be if I was in the basement. Being in the dining room has forced me to keep it clean and put everything away. I am not a neat person by nature at all.
SIOH -- I should send my sisters to you. THey need to quit their jobs and start a business as organization consultants. I don't know how I missed out on that gene.

These are old. Taken a couple months ago when it was pretty messy. I use the crop in style cubes, not to be confused with the jetmax ones. I also have a little crafting cart for my cricut and cuttlebug. I also have a wire rack for paper. It was purchased way before they actually made ones for paper so it is held together with zip ties.

I do have to point out that the shelf with the paper is too heavy to pull out now. I should really switch up my bottom two shelves.

No, the Philadelphia Sports Complex -- Eagles, Phillies, Wachovia -- I am right outside of South Phila. Ummm maybe Exit 3 or 4??? from the turnpike is the closest.
Seaside -- that is north of Atlantic City?

That's what I do too. It is free to create an account at photobucket and pretty easy to upload your photos. When you do copy the photo use the img one. You'll know what I mean once you see it.

First of all....tubachik...AWESOME idea to use pegboard for the walls. I have been thinking about putting a peg board. Do you find that you use it a lot? Talk to me about your lighting....did you have those lights put in or were they there when you moved in? I just have dinky little light bulbs in the ceiling and it drives me crazy when I'm trying to work! I need a good alternative.
Second...Elsie...AWESOME space! I love the photo border. Did you make that? Also, I spotted the big bite on your shelf there. Do you like using it? I find that mine is more of a hassle than anything else. Got any tips for me?
Finally, does anyone keep their scraps and if you do, how do you store them?

I love seeing other people's craft/scrap rooms!:yay:
I use my room for more than just scrapping, and I have waaayyy too much traditional scrapping supplies, especially since I now do mainly digi-scrapping, but I can't part with my stuff, because I may need it someday!
I also knit and quilt, and decorative paint, so my room is filled to the gills! I don't have a pic of it yet, but I converted the closet in my room to now hold bags of yarn hanging from the clothes pole. I'm waiting for my husband to build me shelves in the closet.;)

thanks for the compliments. The border is actually photos of Walt's Studios and Disney in black and White. I got it a few years back from the Disney Store.
SharonLovesMickey - as far as the big bite, I do like it and use it alot especially when working with chipboard and heavier materials, although I agree it is cumbersome.
and TheresaNJ - oh man, love your space. And you worked for DVC, wow, I am so green with envy. Oh, and I love your disney collectibles, awesome!

Great rooms everyone!!! Teresa, love all your disney stuff!! Especially that sign in the first post or two, where it says Disney Cruise this way, Disneyland that way..etc.. What was that from? I would LOVE to find one of those!!!
Here is my room, it is on the second floor of my cape , so the walls are 1/2 slanted and i have a dormer. It's a lil' more packed now, these pics are when i first set it up.. but you get the idea. I will try to take pics when i get in there and clean up! LOL

I love the peg board, the small pegs/hooks work the best. I use one whole wall of peg board, the other two (three sides of the room since its an open end of the basement) have a desk/ shelves - which are now full of "very important supplies" ;)
DH put up the "shop lights" that we bought at home depot for about $6 each they just plug into a standard outlet so we hung those from the rafters (with the included chain) and I ran an extension cord to an outlet - which DH added a switch too so I could just flip the lights on and off. Since its the basement - it is quite dark, so the daylight bulbs we put in (a little expensive, but worth it) add a ton of light. :goodvibes
I am in the process of cleaning and organizing so I will post as it gets "better"

Hi Elsie! I worked for the DVC for approximately eight months, from January until September 2007. I left when we unexpectedly had to move back to NJ due my mother's health. It was always my dream to work for Disney, and I was so excited when I got the DVC job. I have to tell you, never in my life did I have a job that was so much fun training for. When we walked in on the first day of our training, there were Disney plush characters, lanyards, collector cast-member pins, candy, play-doh, etc., sitting on the tables in front of each of our seats. I was smiling every day going to training! It was an experience I'll never forget.
Caitsmama, love your scraproom, and your mascots! They are adorable. I won the Disney sign at a DISmeet a few years ago, set up right here on the DIS. It was held in Allentown, PA. We had a great time, and I won lots of other stuff too that day.:)

Well these photos were taken a few months ago and a few things have changed. I changed out my table to something longer and not so deep, I eliminated the tall wooden dresser (it was full of past issues of CK magazine.... I finally bit the bullet and got rid of them!), and I have since added a Big Bug. It sits on the rolling cart where I previously kept my Xyron and a few other misc. items. Most all of my drawers are labeled. I generally sort my embelllishments by "occasion", like Sport and School, Christmas and winter, Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving, Spring and Easter, Summer/vacation/ July 4th. Each occasion has its own drawer. Plus I have drawers for rubber stamps and stamp pads, adhesives, small and medium punches, buttons, brads, glitter, etc, etc, etc.
BTW, this is all in my bedroom. We have a large master bedroom and this weird sort of cubby corner over the stairwell. I originally put my scrapping in my room so that I would be able to hear the kids when they were napping and such like that. And even though the kids are older now and we have an unused finished room in the basement, plus a home office I could use part of, I enjoy being upstairs. The kids can relax on my bed and watch tv and still be near me when I scrap.... I can do a bit of scrapping between folding loads of laundry or after I'm done my ironing or whenever.... it is so handy.
Feel free to ask any questions.

tubachick and pj, I love that your scrapping areas are bright and cheerful! I especially love the lavendar pegboard tuba, and pj, I love your quilt block border! My room tends to be very dark due to it being a log cabin, so I have area lighting all over the room, and felt the need to put up lots of brightly colored "stuff"!

Thanks, Nanc, for having my back. I don't know why it doesn't work for me:rolleyes:
My room is 10 x 10 and tucked in above our garage, off the guest room. It's a great spot to escape and do my therapy of scrapping. Having the two desks allows DD to come in and color or stamp while I am in there too.

Great rooms ladies!
I have stuff everywhere since I have no real scrap room. Well I did have one downstairs but I found I never wanted to be down there so now I use the kitchen table or a table one of teh livingrooms and just bring out the stuff I am working on.
I do love that one cabinet. I wonder if Ikea in CAnada has it!

Disney_rider, how much DID you buy when Recollections closed?
I used to work at Recollections!!! I was an assitant manager.... soooo yeah I had bags and bags of stuff. I would also get the alot of free promo stuff that the companies would send us to demo or just use and tell them what we thought. But when wer did start closing I would get the unopened paks of Cardstock and paper I loved. And we would put aside what we all wanted and wait till it got down to 70 % off. I stil have stuff I've never touched from there.
We're taking a weekend and going through EVERTHING!!! And getting rid of alot who wants to come over and help????!!!!

They are $1.99 at Ikea
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50072645
They are called the BYGEL rack
And my black cabinets (from Target) used to be part of my entertaiment center which was deamed unessasary (sp) after the flat screen went on the wall. I love black furniture My room is all blk and wht with Fluer de lis's everywhere.
My work area is my old butcher block dining room table from my first marriage...I got everything but that was the only thing I kept, well that and the cats (i got full custody LOL) :)

I'm so excited - all of these pictures and the organize your space threads have really inspired me and I spent most of the weekend reorganizing my craft room - I love it! It's our spare bedroom and it's pretty small. DH actually used a home decorating program he found on line to figure out how we'd fit everything in! The bookcases and rolling white carts are from IKEA and we got them last summer. The bookcases were too big to fit through the door and had to be assembled in the room - good luck if we ever move!
From the door looking into the room:
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9df33b3127ccec64cc5070f0000000040O08AYsnLJk0aNg e3nwI/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
The bookcase with doors - this holds empty and in-progress scrapbooks in the bottom, out of sight, and my Disney wedding memorabilia behind the glass doors:
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9df33b3127ccec64ca8754fdc00000040O08AYsnLJk0aNg e3nwI/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
These are the "Alex" from IKEA. When DH and I first saw them he didn't even fight me on it because he knew I'd have to have them! Each drawer holds 12x12 paper on one side and 8.5x11 plus scraps on the other. I've just sort of memorized what color or pattern is in each drawer. I prefer to have my paper sorted by color, theme, and in stacks like this:
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9df33b3127ccec64d9fc1ae9700000040O08AYsnLJk0aNg e3nwI/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
On top of the "Alexes" are plastic bins from Target that hold letter/number stickers, jouranling boxes, vellum words, etc.
The bookcase with drawers, which has mostly completed books and photos that are waiting to be cropped (mostly old family photos). I also store my cake decorating supplies on the top shelf and have Cricut stuff in the top drawer:
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9df33b3127ccec64de32c2f7400000040O08AYsnLJk0aNg e3nwI/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
Next to it, the 2 black zippered cases are from CM and hold all of my stickers, organized by theme and size.
This multi-square bookcase is from Target and it rests on my crop table. It has all of the things I need at hand - pens, scissors, tools, brads, etc.:
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9df33b3127ccec64d4bcfaef300000040O08AYsnLJk0aNg e3nwI/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
This is my crop table, it's an old family table that my mom used to have in the entry hall. I painted it white and it has a handy "foot rest" for my aching feet ;)
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9df33b3127ccec64dedc92f9600000040O08AYsnLJk0aNg e3nwI/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
I splurged on a really nice rolling desk chair from Office Depot and I have a massaging chair attachment that I put on the chair when my back aches.
This is my old college desk. DH thought I should paint it white too, but I thought that was too much white, plus my daddy bought it for me at a garage sale for $10 and we refinished it together so I love it just the way it is. It stores adhesives, cards, non-scrapping pens, etc., and obviously my Baby Bug and sewing machine:

Possibly my favorite thing - the rolling microwave cart with all of my cutting implements (that sounds very clinical doesn't it? ) I can roll it to be right next to me, on the other side of my cropping table, next to the desk, wherever, it's super convenient:

The red and white boxes are IKEA as well. I labeled them with Cricut and SCAL. What works for me is for everything to have a place and where I don't have to look at all of it all the time ;) I like to hide things away but know exactly where they are and this room is super functional for me. I also love the 2 windows for natural light. If it's too bright or hot I close the sheers. I am grateful to DH for giving me the spare room and of course for building the bookcases, and to NewEnglandEeyore for teaching me how to use SCAL :thumbsup2

Here is my space. I over took my dining room. I'm a single mom of one child so we eat in the living room. It works for us :)
Please excuse the mess and stuff on the floor. I'm messy ahhaha.
I have 2 desks pushed together. One is for storage.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v166/JennasMomma/scrap%20space/100_3246.jpg
This is the desk I work at. Its really an old vanity with the mirror obviously missing. I love the drawers. I have my must haves at my finger tips.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v166/JennasMomma/scrap%20space/100_3247.jpg
I got this storage drawer thing at a yardsale for $2! It stores my finished layouts. I need to purchase some albums for them.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v166/JennasMomma/scrap%20space/100_3248.jpg
The sobe shelves have more storage that is messy. The filing cabinet stores my 8.5x11" paper and scraps. The white cube holds my 12x12 paper by color. On top are my unmounted stamps, and in the cassette case my ink pads. My spools of ribbon are stored in the clear case.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v166/JennasMomma/scrap%20space/100_3249.jpg
This is how I store my stamps. I have unmounted and rubber ones. I unmounted them all. They are stored by catagories in empty cd cases.

I wonder if my lable maker will make labels small enough to go in the sides??? Hmmmm I still have a ton of empty cases I have no idea why I kept them..the CD's are long gone and all my music is on my IPOD and laptop. Why do I do stuff like that?
Well I'll prolly still be single when my DD is that old too.....guys stink sometimes :sad2:

Yes they do. I stopped dating all together when she was 5. I'm actually a lot happier single than I was dating someone. :rotfl2:

I LOVE what I've been seeing! I like how we've all captured some space in our home, wherever we can, to make space for ourselves.
I love the use of the Ikea shelves and furniture. What a great idea. I'm still searching for the perfect way to store paper and that might be it.
I also love the kitchen cart! I'm still looking for one that won't break the bank. I didn't think I would need one, but now....
And finally, I don't think that I am brave enough to unmount all my wood mounted stamps....yet....my friends does it and swears by it. Perhaps one of these days. AND, thanks to JennasMom for the comment about empty CD cases from Freecycle. What a GREAT idea. I can't believe I didn't think of that!

Ok so you take even your wooden stamps off the wood????
Then how do you use them??? Do they adhere to acrylic blocks???
I'm confused???..... But that's not hard to do.
On a side note...

I got mine from a girl who lived next to DH in his old apartment. Before we got married and he moved out, she was moving out too, and getting rid of everything, so I got the kitchen microwave cart for free. Check garage sales and Craig's List and have fun decorating your space!

OK- here is my part of a room. Sorry the pics are so big. It is in my attic, which has slanted walls. About 2/3 is my DD6's playroom, the other is my part. The walls are princess pink and purple.

I finally got around to taking pics of my room. it once was the "ferret bedroom" and about 18 months ago I sort of stole it from them. I used to scrap on the master bedroom floor and had to fight my critters not to step on my stuff. And of course it had to be cleaned up whenever I was done working. I uploaded these in mass so they are really small. If I remember I will re upload tonight with larger so you can actually see.

Cuttlebug dies and 8.5 x 11 paper, plus all the "at hand" stuff I need

Actual books and the remnants of the "ferret room". You can see some of their toys and a sliver of their cage

Thanks for posting you pics. It is fun to see where everyone has claimed their space. I can't believe you guys really label the drawers :goodvibes My luck I would label it, then everything but what was suppose to go in the drawer would end up there! Nobody in my house can read! :lmao:

Hi SalandJeff.
Go to Two Peas- On the home page up in the right corner-
SEARCH- Scrap Rooms ENTIRE SITE.
Different options to go on when you get to that page. If this didn't help, write back.

Your rooms all make me a little jealous! They look so great, so organized - like a mini scrapbook store. My stuff lives in 2 of those big plastic storage bins (one Disney, one other) and 3 paper holders (one Disney, 2 other). Someday, maybe, I'll have a room just for craft stuff. I can dream, right? :p
