I read here daily, but seldom post. I tried to post a picture and could only get the link to work (better that than nothing!). The talent here is so inspiring to me. I look at the world around me differently and try to get photos that are just a "little different", if you know what I mean (like the one in my signature).

DH got me an ESP 7 all in 1 Kodak printer/scanner/copier. I am the person that has a ton of old photos in a box, but would never part with them, have recent photos on my computer, goes to Wal Mart to get prints made, would LOVE to figure out how to do those cool effects, had the dream to be a photographer (and admittedly still does), etc......

I have NEVER printed out a photo before and I did just the other day on my new printer....I LOVE how it they turned out. I tried a random pic of some dingies on a Cape Cod beach in color. Then I took a pic of the Tower of Terror from a neat angle, changed it to black and white and printed that!

DH also got me a Sony Cyber Shot 170 to keep in my purse!!

.....maybe I will be that photographer someday ;) ;) ;)

Thanks to all of you for the inspiration!
Karen

Congrats! Printing is a nice reward to the hard work.

Do you have your photos hosted online somewhere? If not that is the first step to posting (linking) them here.

I have some on Shutterfly. I made a calendar for a Christmas gift using some photos. I tried post a few on here from Shutterfly, but could only get a link.

I'm not sure if you can do it with Shutter Fly or not. Does your link have .jpg at the end? If so, type insert your link then . No spaces though. Hope that helps!
You might consider getting a Flicker or Photo Bucket account, then all you have to do is copy and paste the link for sharing. (or if you use Flock as your browser you can just drag and drop from that once they're in your account) I personally do not recommend photo bucket, it makes your pics look awful!

I agree with you - this board is an amazing place - filled with so many talented people who truly just love photography and want to talk about it and share what they have learned as well as learn from others.

Congrats on the new equipment - hope to see your photos soon. :goodvibes
