Hi all,
I have a question as I am planning for 2010 1/2 marathon. What time do the "festivities" for the 1/2 end? In other words, if I plan on enjoying all the race offers what time would I feel "done"? Thanks!

The course is open for aprox 3 and a half hours from the moment the last person crosses the start line. People are still hanging around getting there medals and photos taken. People are walking around and meeting up with family, getting the after massages and taking photos with characters. It all depends on how long it will take you to finish the race and what you want to hang around after for. I just go straight through the shoot, get my medal, get my photo taken, pick up my baggage from the tent, go to the reunion tent for some photos and then back to the room for an ice bath

As already said, it is dependant on your desires. There are fast folks that could be done really quickly who will stay and cheer on the rest of the WISH Team. There are those who will get going soon after they finish. There are things to do after that can add about an hour or so after you cross the line. Massages are offered, short ones, and it depends on the wait time how long you will be hanging after. There are character pic ops that you can enjoy. Often, WISH Team will meet after the event just to offer support and kudos after the event.
So the answer? It depends...
Hope to see you here enjoying your training with us. This will definitely add to your training fun and will have you wanting to meet up with the team and enjoying all things you can. I can say it definitely makes life more fun!

I don't think it "ends" until you take your medal off.
Be sure to wear your medal during your "post race" activities. It is a blast to walk/hobble around the parks and having so many people congratulate and/or commiserate with you...even though there are 17000 other people who did the race with you, you still accomplished something very special and will make you feel somewhat like a celebrity!

The reason I ask is we are considering going on the 7 day cruise that departs at 4:00 pm on Saturday. I am wondering if that is do-able? It sounds like it is. Any advice?

Any thoughts on getting on the Disney Magic the afternoon post-race?

I think you'd have plenty of time especially it you hit the road right after your shower or ice bath. What a great way to celebrate the completion of the race!
