Hi,

Has anyone bought this (not rented) for less than $75? If so, where did you buy it?

Thanks,
Jen

Much safer than holding a child on your lap. Someone sitting in front of me on my last flight to FL used one of these for her child.

We have used the CARES harness for our last two trips. It works great and is much better than hauling the carseat through the airport. Just be sure not to let your little one see how the airplane seat belts work (trust me)

Totally uncalled for comment!

The CARES harness is a GREAT option for those that do not need a child restraint upon arrival at their destination. It is expensive though and only worth the $$ if you will be using it often (IMHO).

I'm the first person to get behind using a car seat on an airplane (I'm a certified child passenger safety technician) and I'm pretty sure that you would be hard pressed to find a CPST that wouldn't think the CARES harness was an extremely safe option for use in aircraft.

To the OP...

A month or so ago Amazon had the CARES harness for $60+, but I see that it back up to full retail again. You could check out the message board at Car Safety (http://www.car-safety.org/)... they may be aware of any current deals over there.
