View Full Version : If you bring liquor, can you make your drinks on the pool deck?

When I cruised on NCL, I felt like I had to hide my private liquor. Does anyone just take out their bottle on the pool deck and make their drinks there? I understand they take out their own beer but what about a bottle of booze?

No glass allowed around the pool areas, so you would do best to keep the bottles of liquor in your stateroom and bring the drinks out in plastic cups or mugs. Just safer for all the feet running poolside, LOL! :)

One night we did bring a bottle of wine up to drink with our cruise friends. We used the paper cups from the coffee station. It was a beautiful night and the pool was open because the kids club was having a pool party. So the kids swam and we talked until quite late (for me). It was one of my favorite nights of the cruise.

We brought a bottle of wine to the whirlpools once...it had been given to us as a gift in our stateroom (don't worry, we were VERY careful about the glass). I asked the bartender at the bar by the adult pool for a corkscrew and glasses, and he was great about it. I would have liked to tip him for his help, but I had no cash (in retrospect, I should have gotten his name and given him kudos on our comment card, but I was in "vacation mode" and wasn't thinking too swiftly).

I found that tupperware makes a very nice selection of plastic container for such a purpose. Just mix and tote. Check out your local Walmart or K-Mart, etc. :D :bounce:
