We are here at Disney for our last night. We have been staying at Boardwalk Villas for the past 3 nights and we rented the points. Because of this we had not requirements as far as buying tickets or a package to receive the Dining Plan. There are 4 of us my husband and I and our children 22 and 19.

We spent 605 dollars on the plan.

Day 1 We spent about 60 dollars on Counter service at Boardwalk Bakery. Excellent lunch and very yummy desserts. 4 CS credits

My daughter is a cast member and had to work tonight so she did not go to dinner with us tonight.
Boma 105 Dollars 3 TS credits

Day 2 My husband ate in Norway for 19 dollars. I ate in Morocco for 18 dollars. The kids ate in America for 28 dollars. Total 65 dollars 4 CS credits

We had the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package tonight. We ate at Le Cellier. The cost of the meal would have been about 267 dollars. 4 TS credits

Day 3 My son at at Boardwalk Bakery for 15 dollars. My daughter, husband and I ate at starring rolls in MGM. This is probably my favorite lunch in all of WDW. 60 dollars 4 CS credits

We all ate at O'Hanas tonight buy I paid OOP for one of the meals to save a credit for tonights Christmas Eve dinner.
120 dollars 3 TS credits

Day 4
My husband and I again ate the Starring Rolls lunch. My daughter and son went to Rosies. 56 dollars 4 CS credits

Tonight we are going to Narcooses for Christmas Eve Dinner.
It will be my son husband and I as my daughter has to work. My estimate for tonigh's dinner is 200 dollars. I will correct this post after dinner tonight with a better number. 6 TS credits

Snack credits were usually 3 or 4 dollars. 16 credits so good estimate is 50 dollars.

We would normally spend about 130 dollars a day on food. So normally for CS meals for 4 days and a snack each day for each person we would spend about 520 dollars.

Total cost of Dining Plan 605 dollars
Total amount of money spent on Dining Plan 983 dollars.

By my estimates by spending 85 dollars more than we normally would we ate at

Bomas
Le Cellier with Candlelight Dinner package
Ohana's
Narcoossees

instead of Counter Service.

For us this was a very good deal and some awesome food.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Merry Christmas

Phenominal use of the DDP. :thumbsup2

Did you find it difficult to get over to Boma's from BWV? I stayed there a few months back, did the DDP, but didn't consider it as "resort to resort" travel can be tedious at times.

I'm doing a few trips in 2009 that are already booked, and was reconsidering that thinking because there are a few places I'd like to eat at including Boma's.

Thanks for showing the math.

Merry Christmas

I have to admit - anytime there is a "holiday surcharge" and you are planning some fixed price meals (like Boma, Ohana, CP, etc), it's difficult to see how the DDP wouldn't work. The price of these meals goes up quite a bit and practically covers the cost of the day's plan.

I'm glad that you were happy with your choices and it really seemed to add to your trip.

Merry Christmas (and hope you loved your Christmas Eve dinner).

Thanks so much. Our Christmas Eve Dinner was great! The amount came out to 197. My son and I ate the Lobster and my husband had the Roast Duck.
Great meal!

I have to agree, especially with "adult" children. No question the food is all overpriced, but you still have to pay the prices if you're eating on property. Therefore, the DDP makes a lot more sense to me if you take advantage of some excellent TS entree options!
