Just got notice today in the mail. The "exclusive purchase window for members who purchase through a California-based DVC Guide in the past" is from January 25th to March 25th!

Didn't see this anywhere else yet. Sorry its somewhere already (I'm usually last to know).

No info on pricing, any caps or anything. Just said to call your guide "today to learn more about this unprecedented opportunity, and be sure to ask for details about a special gift for Founding Members."

I already called my guide and left a message! I want details!

I just retrieved my mail and it's too late to call my guide, so I will have to wait two days to get details, too. :confused3
The letter said only 48 Vacation Homes! (I thought it was 48-2 BR and 2-3BR Grand Villas).

Just got my letter too! Left a message with my rep, her vm said she'd in the office until 5pm today, so we'll see if I get a call back. If I do, I'll report the scoop here!

We received our letter as well. We are not interesting in points since we live so close and would not book 11 months out, but can't wait for the villas to open. :)

Update! I tried calling my guide 3 times so far today, kept getting voice mail that she was in the office but not avaialbe. I left a message once. Since I live within sight to Disneyland, I made a quick stop at the sales center this afternoon. The people at the front seemed kind of confused. They had not yet been notified of the sale date yet and they had no information at all. I showed them the letter and they said the letter contained more information than they had heard.

Maybe these letters got to us faster than Disney was expecting? Probally just typical Disney with the left hand not talking to the right hand.....

I got my letter today as well and called our guide at DL and asked her all the normal questions as far as points,add on minimums, and price per point and she said she had no information yet, but did know the letters had gone out. I asked why they sent the letters out before having any really info to pass along and she said from the beggining that alot of founding members who purchased through the DL office and requested as much forward notice as Disney was able to provide so that members could basically get they're ducks in a row so to speak to get ready to purchase when the time comes. So bascially thats all the letters were, just a little friendy heads up that the sale will begin January 25th for founding members. So I would'nt rack my brain over the holiday weekend waiting to talk to your guide for ino, there does''nt appear to be any to give out yet except for what the letter itself says.

Thanks for the update. Not much preparing you can do without point pricing and point charts, but at least there is a date in sight! Hopefully we'll have more info in the next few weeks. I'm sure the reps weren't thrilled to have the letters arrive Christmas Eve given they didn't have much info...

Will be interesting to see cost per point and point charts, and also how quickly VGC sells with the economy the way it is. We are definitely more cautious now then we were a year ago.

I would think non-founding members would be able to purchase on March 26th.

We just came back from a trip to the DLR and were able to view the GCV models. They are gorgeous and DH and I were practically salivating. There is a murphy bed instead of the sleeper chair. The decor was beatiful and classy. The lady who gave us the tour (not a DVC guide) didn't know when the points chart was coming out yet.
