We have the Basic Dining plan. I've been looking over the menu's and and unclear about something.

Here is what I'm I found for the 50's Prime Time Cafe (as an example)
Kids' Picks: Choose 1 Appetizer, 1 Entree, and 1 Dessert - Selection of appetizers: chicken noodle soup or garden salad. Selection of entrees: macaroni & cheese, meatloaf, grilled hot dog, or chicken nuggets. Selection of desserts: fruit salad or ice-cream sundae.Includes choice of kids' juice, 1% milk, or bottled water. French fries and soft drinks available upon request. - $7.49

My kid gets an appetizer--choice of soup or salad
and an entree
and a dessert.
Down at the bottom it says "french fries and soft drinks available on request"

Does that mean my kid can get some fries in addition to the appetizer, entree and dessert?

Also, I have been reading posts that mention the kids (and adults too I guess) being able to get a milkshake instead of a drink. Is this pretty much anywhere that has milkshakes? or just certain places?

TIA
Amy

No, not in addition - it's instead of. ON the kid's menus, the fries are instead of the "appetiser" or "side dish", so in this case it would be fries instead of the soup or salad, and the soft drink is instead of the milk, juice or bottled water. So your child could get fries, chicken nuggets, ice cream & a coke if you let 'em.

Some places allow the milkshake, some allow a smoothie-type non-alcoholic drink. If you see smoothies or milkshakes on the menu, ask the waitress if you can have that as your drink. some places only allow the milkshake as a dessert.
