We are using Mears shuttle transportation for this trip. (Please don't try and talk me out of it, we have used them severl times without incident and since there are only two of us, it is the cheapest alternative).

How long is security/check-in at MCO taking (we're on united if it makes a difference)?
How long does it take mears to get you from Disney to MCO?

We have a flight departing at 6:50pm, and I am wondering how early I need to tell Mears to pick us up?

Thanks! :)

If I recall correctly, Mears will tell you what time they will pick you up. You don't have to bother with the calculations yourself.

thanks. the last time, they asked us what time we wanted to be picked up? i don't know if that is still the norm (post 9/11) or not?

what time should i excpetct them to give us, so i can figure out what to plan for that am?

Last time I used them for a return trip (pre-9/11), they told us they'd pick us up about two hours beforehand. So I'd guess they do closer to 2 1/2-3 now.

Dopeygirl doesn't sound so dopey. They've always told us 2 hours in advance of our flight time. The extra 30-60 minutes could be well worth it for the peace of mind in knowing that you'll get to the gate in time.... although, an extra couple of "accidental" days at Disney may cause you to not want to leave so early before your flight. lol

We returned last Friday. Left OKW about 4:15, got to MCO about 4:45, curbside checked luggage (USAir), returned rental car, got boarding passes at e-ticket kiosk, no line at security but my bag got pulled for a search (along with my shoes), got to the gate about 5:15 for a 7:10 flight.
