Hi All-

Has this ever happened to any of you? Last Wednesday I called the Disney Club line to make a reservation for ASMo for one night at the beginning of our already booked Dis vacation. The CM told me the cost with DC discount was $95 and change (incl. tx). I was also told that he would fax me a confirmation sheet within the next "48 hours". As of last night I still had no confirmation sheet so I decided to call again when I got home. I didn't have the 800 number on hand so I called the 407-WDISNEY number. I gave the CM my confirmation number and she told me that indeed I had a reservation for 11/2 at ASMo for $65.26! I asked her to repeat the price, and she told me that she had left that screen and would have to pull the price back up. "$65.26" I was told again. I told her (like an idiot) that I had been quoted a price of $95. She said I definitely had a room reserved for $65.26. I asked if I could pay right then and she asked if I was a DC member. I told her that I was, and she said that she could not touch the reservation. She told me to call the 800 number to apply payment. I hung up and called the number that she gave me. I told the CM that I wanted to pay my balance. The CM said "great! $95, please!". I then relayed the conversation I had just had with the other CM and told her that I would like to know why there is a $30 difference for the same room the same night when I had just been told that I had a rate of $65. She put me on hold for about 10 minutes and then picked up and told me that no one had any idea where the first CM came up with the $65 quote. If I still wanted the room, I owed $95! I paid the $95 because even though we are arriving VERY late on that Saturday night, we wanted to stay onsite the entire vacation (we are transferring to POFQ the next morning). I am just extremely frustrated over the experience. The first CM could obviously see something that was telling her that the room charge was $65.26. Not only did she see it once, she pulled the whole thing up a second time! It is only $30, but it would still be nice to keep that cash in my pocket!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what (if anything) I can do about this? Thanks for letting me vent!!!

I would definitely call back and talk to a supervisor. That is ridicules. They should just give you the $65 rate. Did you ever receive a conf sheet? If not I would request one immediately.

Thanks Grumpy! And, no, I still haven't received the confirmation sheet! I can't believe (actually, that's not true, I've seen enough on these boards) that Disney treats its patrons this way! UUUGGGHHH!

Um, maybe this is a dumb question, but why don't you call back the 407 #, and try to make a new reservation w/out the Disney Club? If it's not part of your original reservation anyway, why not just cancel that $95 night through the Club, and see if you get a better deal through CRO?

Wow, Wilma! Sometimes the answers in life are the most obvious! I guess I was seeing so much red I didn't think of much else!

I'll give it a try...
