That rumor started six months ago with Kevin Yee over at MiceAge. The general consensus among most knowlegable online Disney folks is that it's not going to happen. More likely it'll be a continuation of what we've already been seeing: a cutback of attraction and park hours, along with a further reduction in staff and services.

Well, I used to consider myself up to date on these things, but apparently not anymore! :lmao:

I believe Kevin Yee's POV and while I have no proof that it will happen I believe that if things deteriorate, as I think they will, then this certainly will be on the table and although this must mean I'm not one of the more knowledgeable on line Disney talkers, I still believe the chance is very real.
Look, if people don't come and Resort's get shuttered first, which I'm sure will happen, then I think the next large step will be Park rotation. It won't spell doom and gloom and it really won't be a big deal because it will mean that very few people are actually visiting. What shall they do?:confused3

There were strong rumors of this after 911 and they never panned out. Maybe I'm taking a narrow approach but if they closed one park a day it would boost attendance at the other 3 parks requiring more staffing and possibly longer operating hours. Wouldn't it kind of be a wash?

I don't think so, I think it would be pure savings for Disney as (1) they would not increase staffing at the open parks and (2) since the parks are already so slow (that this action is being taken) the Park hours would remain status quo, IMO.
