Hi. I was looking for San Angel Inn on our arrival date and the CM says for the CP or regular? She said the dining plan covers it, but i said no, just regular.
If i said CP, would there have been an additional cost or is it just an added
bonus to making the ADR with the dining plan?
Sounds too good to be true, but if it is true then i am kinda bummed. i figured we would catch part of it from 'the street.' since i didnt want to pay extra for it.

Some people think they cant use the DDP to book the CP but it is covered. Thats the only reason she told you that. It has NOTHING to do with availability

The only "advatage" you'd get is the seating for the Candlelight Processional. 1 TS per person on the dining plan will cover any of the CP packages, no extra charge.

We used the DDP for our CP package last month, the only difference was that we didn't get an appetizer.

The above is correct - if you are on basic dining, the appetizer will not be included in the package. It is included if you're using deluxe dining, or if you are paying for the package out of pocket.
But you wouldn't get the appetizer if you were using basic DDP for the restaurant without the CP package, either.
Only difference I can see with that is that if you are paying an automatic tip, I believe the tip is calculated on the price of the package, not the menu price of the entree, dessert and drink.

We used the Dining Plan for our CP dinner at Le Cellier on Monday night. We didn't get the appetizer but our meal would have been 267 dollars and instead we just used 4 TS credits. The price for the dining plan for that one day for the four of us was 151 dollars so obviously a great deal!

We used the basic DDP last week for a CP package. Tip estimate was calculated on the actual "cost" of our food, not the CP package price.

We used the basic DDP the second week in December for a CP package at Le Cellier and the tip estimate was based on the CP package not the actual cost of the food.
