View Full Version : Upgrading Universal Tickets?

We have purchased seven day tickets for the four of us for our trip next October. We have them in the form of printed vouchers as purchased online from Viator.

We have sinced booked another short trip for February and would like to visit UO/IOA then as well but don't know whether it would be possible to upgrade to annual passes from these tickets? Also any idea whether we could do this in advance, maybe over the phone with Universal?

If we were to do it in the parks would we have to upgrade before using the tickets for the first time?

Also not sure how much credit we would get toward the annual passes, does anyone know how this is calculated please? We paid $ 364 total for the four back in July this year.

Sorry for so many questions but I seem to have messed up by buying the wrong passes in advance :confused3

You will have to get the voucher processed first. Once you have the tickets, you can upgrade them to an annual pass. So you would not be able to do this via the phone.

You can upgrade the tickets anytime until the ticket expires (in your case the ticket is good for 7 days). You can even upgrade on the last day of use on your ticket. Personally, I would just upgrade at Guest Services at the time you process the vouchers.

There is no way to tell you an exact figure on how much credit you get. They will need to scan the ticket itself to get the value of the ticket. That value will be counted toward the purchase of an annual pass. The price you paid has no bearing on the value of the ticket. In most cases though, what you paid is a close estimate of what the ticket value will scan as.
