Extra marathon and 5k registrations

I know that the races are "non-transferable"
but I also saw many people running with name
bibs that were not their own. The guy we met
in the 1/2 marathon got his Goofy registration
from a co-worker because she couldn't go.

So...

because of work constraints,
my friend Barb can't do the 5k.
I'm picking up her shirt, but her
registration bib will go unused.

Also, my friend Susan and I signed up for
the Goofy and we can't take Monday off
so we aren't able to do the marathon part
of the Goofy.
(bummer, because that's the Mickey and Goofy medal)

Anybody have any ideas what I can do
with the Registrations or if anybody wants to use them?
PM me, I'd hate to see them go to waste
and Disney said no money back :sad2:

keep in mind, as you are going against the rules of the race by transferring these entries....
if anything happens to the person running under someone else's registration, there will be a mess with race insurance, etc...as the banditing person technically won't be covered.

Don't want to get into a debate....these situations happen quite often, I realize. And it sucks that there isn't a better way to transfer registrations, but the RDs of races know this and build in a certain number that they figure will no show for whatever reason.
