View Full Version : The Mating Call of the Blue Glyphwing
So I did what John (I think) said to do - I toned down the urge to commando and noticed the details. Of course, now I have a mystery. I saw this in the garden of the United Kingdom Pavilion, by the International Gateway. I can't find any mention of it on any website. Can anyone illuminate me or better yet, hum a few bars of the mating call of the Blue Glyphwing?

My goodness, 25 views and 15 hours later and no replies from the "special" board on the DIS?
Must be a real good mystery (either that or no one gives a hoot).

Hmmmm...I think it goes something like "HEY ALL YOU OTHER BLUE GLYPHWINGS, COME HERE SO WE CAN GET IT ON!" Yes, I believe that's how the majestic mating call goes.

Okay, so a Rhodeus sp. is a little fish, not a butterfly. So, my guess is that this little "mystical butterfly" exists only in an imaginary world.

Hmmm, Rhodeus Corona?
In my younger days, I may have done some of those mating call things after a few too many Coronas. But not in highly magical areas.
Now I understand why I have had an uncrontrollable urge to have Mexican food tonight.
But I am still mystified by the reference to the mystical butterfly fish with a crown.
I sure hope this is not simply Disney marketing the Rose and CROWN restaurant and the FISH and chips counter service. Talk about subliminal messages.

I was one of the 25 hits and I can't figure it out either. I'm still looking though. There are other ways to pull info from the internet....
:thumbsup2
Too bad you didn't post this last weekend/Satuday morning. I was chatting a bit with Disney Archivist Dave Smith at the studio store on the main Disney Studio lot, here in Burbank. I could have asked him. But noooo........

Rotten timing indeed. I didn't take the photo until Friday afternoon - at the time I was thinking I would Google it and the answer would magically appear like it almost always does. If I had only known . . . think of all the sources I could have asked at the TSM meet. I could have also marched into the UK stores and demanded an answer. Mabe even Alice or Mary Poppins would have known.
