We will be at the Pop Century 2/15-2/19. This is only our second time to stay on property (other visit was FW,) and only the second trip in 30 years - what were we thinking all those other years? Seriously, we've seen some fantastic sites around the country, but are very excited about seeing Mickey again. Oh, and both trips were after the kids had moved out, so we get to be kids again!

We first booked our trip "room only" and bought airline tickets, which locked into 2/15-20. Then the "4/7" package came out, so we switched to that, but could only use one of the free nights since we could not change our flight date. Then the airline kept changing the times of the flight, and the last change was not acceptable to us. We told them we were willing to go a day earlier (didn't we make a big sacrifice?), and they were able to get us a flight on the 14th! We are now able to use another free night at Pop, and Dreamsunlimited upgraded our 5 day ticket to a 6 day. The only cost was another night on the DDP, but we need to eat anyway . So we get to spend one more day in the parks!! But now I need to get busy and make a new itinerary.

I guess I'm just assuming it will be too cool to swim~~we used to be Florida residents so it needs to be pretty warm out for us to get bathing suits on. :laughing: However, if DS really wants to swim and its over 80 degrees then I'll let him on one of our "down" days. :)

I hadn't made it to this site yet. I am amazed at how many disboard members are going. We are taking the kids for the 1st time to WDW, February 4-11. I went a bit as a kid because Grandma and Grandpa lived near. I am excited to show Epcot to my kids. Any advice in the order to see things.

Also any advice on Early morning hours-worth it or not? without park hoppers? I of course have a tenative plan.

We have had such good luck at Disneyland's early entry, but we always park hopped to DCA.

I just called today and changed to CSR, with the announced pool closings at POR. First the quiet pools and then the main pool.

Bummer. We finally finished getting our house back in order after Hurricane Gustav and the bills are piling in. With the ridiculous deductible (Allstate) our out of pocket is huge. Given that we did a Thankgiving trip it wouldn't be smart to make our Mardi Gras trip.

Can't wait to hear Allstate's comment to our asking them to pay for our Turkey trip. We had to move out due to the mold remediation work so we went to the Happiest Place on Earth to get our minds off of things. Hopefully they will pay and we can use that for another trip.

How exciting, first trip!! We stayed at FW Cabins one time, very roomy and laid back. We went last week of Feb last year and it was very nice, low crowds and great weather!!

Sorry we switched resorts, to the CSR. Too many pools closed and the kids like to use the pools especially since the parks close early this week.

I read your pretrip report and with your oldest not going, my oldest said she didn't want to go in April 08. We remembered it each day, she was a bit miserable. This trip she is excited, her 3 year old brother asked her to come this time. She said yes. Much better on her terms. Have a great trip!!

I am organizing a Photopass Share for those traveling Feb. 1-21. If your trip is during that timeframe and you want to join us, please let me know right away. Here is an overview of how it will work:
1. I will pre-purchase the photopass before I leave Jan. 31 for $99.
2. Rest of group will pay me via Paypal by Feb. 7 for their portion. For example, if there are 5 in the group, each will pay about $30 ($20 for fee, 3% paypal fee, $3 for CD and case, $3 for envelop and shipping, etc).
3. When you go to the parks, get your photos put on your card, but do NOT go online to view them.
4. I will setup our group acct. and assign dates for each of us to load our photos onto the group acct. You will have 2 days each to load and edit your photos.
5. I will confirm that we're all finished and then order the CD from Disney
6. I will make copies of the CD for each of us and mail them to you.

Once we have the group members finalized, I'll provide more details. Let me know if you'd like to join us!

I hope the original OP doesn't mind I post this here. I thought I would extend an invitation to those who are leaving for WDW in Feb.

If you are going to Disney and don't want to hassle bringing your stroller from home, renting one at Disney for $31 a day, or renting one from one of the outside sources in Orlando, you have another option. We have a stroller swap on the budget boards. Swapping is easy! Fun...you get to meet other DIS'ers! Plus you save money!

We are down to 8 days I had to celebrate - yeah!!! We had snow today I am ready to go someplace warm.

We live in the Pacific NW I know it is nothing compared to the rest of you but We have had more snow this winter than any other on record. My kids who think it is usually a novelty are complaining.

This is my first time to post here. But have been reading and planning our trip for a while. We will be staying in Pop 2/25-3/2. Mom, Sister, Brother-in-law and Mom. It's BIL's first time and we're celebrating his birthday. He is so excitied. We've never done the dining plan so that is the first for all of us as well as staying at POP. We've stayed at Music all the other times. We're excited about Hoop-dee-doo show, Chef Mickey and Mom and I are going to the Castle to eat. Oh, almost forgot the whole reason for the trip: My nephew is marching with our high school's band on March 1. If you are there watch for them...Rogers High School Buccaneers in Blue. pirate:

Yeah, yesterday was a heat wave in Southern NH - 41 degrees. WOW:rolleyes:

I hope it's in the low to mid 70s while we're in Florida; but even if its 50s or 60s we'll still think it's a heat wave while the Floridians are running around in mittens and hats. :rotfl: (I say that fondly as I have relatives in Florida).

Have a great trip, we have driven twice from NH too. One time stopping overnight in VA. And then the next trip driving straight thru!!!
Looks like we will be there the same time, are you going to join us in our little dis meet it looks like it will be 2/13 at Epcot not sure of the time yet, but will post once we figure it out.

I'm from New Orleans, la and I'm leaving for disney world with my boyfriend and his family (13) of us we are all driving!....about a 10 hour trip but it won't be bad. This will be my first disney trip I'm so excited. We are leaving on Feb 20th and coming back the 28th so it's about 17 days away!...I can't wait!!:cool1:

At that point I just want to be there and we've been in teh car too long. We normally stop for an overnight as well. Drove straight through once... fought with DH all day the next day. We looked at flying out of Manchester, Hartford, and Logan, and the price of the tix were just too much compared to driving. shhh... dont tell DH, I still like to give him crap:rotfl2:

I got our tix out of Manchester for 78 bucks each way!! I think everyone should experience the drive at least once!! I love seeing all of those south of the border signs!!:rotfl: Have a safe and happy trip!
