Need help deciding between Cheyenne and Sequoia lodge are both as far as my budget will go so no DLH .
My first choice would be Sequoia lodge in the main building however keep thinking I would be better saving for a few euros for extra treats for DD as it is a birthday surprise??
I have only stayed at the HNY and DLH so worried about breakfast etc as I have heard it can be chaotic. Also how long is the walk from cheyenne to the parks.
It will just be me and DD.

We have recently stayed in the Cheyenne and had no problems at breakfast. You're given a card with your breakfast time on and there was loads of food to go round, plus you can go back as many times as you want. Certainly no scrums that we had here, though it was beginning to get busy about 8ish (we ate at 7.30), but people were still being sat quickly.
It's about a 10 minute walk from the Disney Village (if that!) and that was pushing a buggy, a 15 minute walk when toddler decided to stop being lazy!

I've stayed at both and prefer Cheyenne theming - more fun! It's not really much more of a walk either and it's pleasant alongside the "river". Our girls liked looking for the fish.
I'd plump with Cheyenne and save the extra euros towards a character meal myself.
Breakfast looked potentially chaotic at both. We just ate as early as we could manage!

we just got back from Sequoia and were in one of the lodges. our room was the furthest one from the main building, but it was fine. i thought i would hate not being in the main building, but it was fine. so if you decide to stay there that might save you a bit of money.

we've stayed at both and would quite happily stay at either again
Breakfast was more chaotic at Cheyenne as you had to find your own table whereas they seated you at SL however you could always try for GMF breakfasts instead
or upgrade to a breakfast one day at cafe mickey - Im sure your DD would love that.
Go in for EMH then out for the 2nd sitting breakfast - you'll have really built up an appetite and can linger as long as you want
