I couldn't help but noticing in recent weeks that there are quite a few people here who have my exact same travel dates for WDW. We will be there from January 10 - 17. I thought I would start a thread to gather us all in, a place for those going to be there at that specific time. Anyone else out there?

We will be there Jan 10 - Jan 17th staying at WL. Our first trip and haven't told the kids. They won't find out until we arrive at DW. Very hard to keep this secret from them. Especially my 10 yr old who has been wanting to go since she was 3. Fingers cross we all stay healthy. Makes a worried hearing about how alot of people are getting sick.

Hello fellow Januarians! :cool1:

We will be staying at CBR with Team In Training for the marathon weekend (8-12). Then my DH and I will move to POP until the 20th!! First we were just going to stay to celebrate our 26th anniversay on the 15th, but then when we found out that Splash was opening back up on the 18th we extended it a few days more. :woohoo:

We stayed at POP last year at the same time for our anniversary, and after seeing the marathon I decided to give it a try this year. It is amazing what I will do for a trip to WDW! :rotfl:

POR the 6th-14th. We too had a snow storm yesterday, we're getting more today and tomorrow and expecting another one to roll in on Tuesday. Florida no matter what the weather will be soooo nice (if the plane can get out of here that is :rotfl: ). With all the storms that have come through, we had a couple at the beginning of the month that stopped air traffic, one never knows if the planes will actually take off. But that is the fun/hazard of traveling in the winter from the cold, snowy north.

So, all you Januarians.....when do you start packing?

I'm thinking that I'll start getting things together next weekend......though I'm excited enough about the upcoming trip, I could happily start the packing now. :yay:

Normally, I pack a day or two before leaving, but since I am doing the marathon, I have to start earlier so I don't forget anything. I will probably pack next weekend so I don't have to do it during the week. I have already started making a list and getting out some of my clothes for warmer days.

Well we leave to drive down to Florida on New Year's Day and we haven't so much as hauled out a suitcase yet. So, likely it will be the night before. We're going for a full month but we just plan to take a few sets of clothes and do laundry. Also, it's January so it's not like we are going to need to haul out our summer clothes or anything.

I usually start the day before (have to do it in secret away from my dog Ziggy! :sad2: )

I have kept some capris and shorts out from storage so hopefully I will be able to wear them, maybe a light sweater and sweatshirt too. I have never been at this time of the year so I want to bring a bit of everything.

The weather has been AWESOME!!! Highs the next couple of days is supposed to be mild, mid 70's, and highs in the low to mid 50's...just beautifuly weather for this time of year!! LOL Mr & Mrs Smith, I guess I'm staying offsite, you can say I'm staying at home!! LOL Which is offsite! I was just laughing at that, nothing personal! I hope ya'll are ready, I am, 9 days to go!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!! I haven't been over there since MVMCP on Nov 10th, so I'm ready for a disney fix!!!! Have fun, travel safe, for everyone who's leaving snow...don't look back!!!

Sorry I haven't been updating the list. I've been in Florida since Sunday and prefer to soak up the sun instead of surfing the net. For those who are wondering about the weather, it has been like summer here. Most days have been great for swimming. I did hear on the news, though, that it's supposed to cool down a bit next week. However, I doubt you'll need to be wearing sweaters and long pants during the days.

We are leaving today as we are driving down. Good thing we are suppose to get 10 - 15 inches of snow by Sat night and midweek temps drop down to single digits. Picked an excellent week to go to FL weather wise.
