Haha, just you and Luke awake for Nemo! :lmao:

What a wonderul update! I love all of the pictures. The everest ones...the trails...you go girl! That is so funny...the pic of all of them asleep. Good thing you didn't fall out...someone could have snatched little Luke!

The birthday blast sounds like fun...until you mentioned 48 degree water. :scared1: Brrr. I remember a little shower on that day. It lasted just a minute or two. We were over looking at the gorillas when it happened.

I just have to say that AK is a gorgeous park. The attention to detail shows up in every picture that you took. Your comments about birds always crack me up. Birds don't bother me too much, so when you comment on it, it always makes me laugh.

This was a REALLY fun update. I can't wait to go on EE on our next trip!

You were a good sport to go kayaking for Anna's B-Day....you were a trooper even when you nearly froze. Glad you warmed up in the end and didn't break any bones.

The long tailed monkeys are very neat!

I LOVE GORILLAS!! They are so facinating and loveable.

Thanks Ray for all the video clips along the way. It really adds to the TR. :thumbsup2

Cool pics of Everest...very cool view from up there.

Good pictures of and from Expedition Everest. Not my favorite ride at all, but I've only done it once, in all fairness. I have to do it without a Fastpass next time and get good queue pictures. I might ride for the sake of pictures from the top, or I might go out the chicken exit. That remains to be seen. :)

It's a challenge to stay awake in any cool, dark place in Disney World after going hard all the time. Once you get sat down anywhere, falling asleep just sort of happens before you know it. You should have pretended to be asleep and had Luke get the camera and take a picture of all four of you tapped out, leaving him all on his own. That might have been a shock for Anna and Chris!

Looking forward to Nemo pictures. That show is so colorful!

I'm glad to hear that Chris wasn't the only one who fell asleep during Nemo! It's definitely the air conditioning after all that walking around and stuff. Glad Luke got his stuffed animal so Anna and Chris could ride EE!

it's such a blast! my second-favorite ride, behind ToT. it was scary but i knew i'd be okay - i had a life vest and it was shallow. but it was SO COLD!

Loving this update... since it is Disney month! Cannot wait to ride Everest again!

Looking forward to your Nemo pics. DH really wants to see this, and I have gotten mixed reviews..

it definitely is! AK is beautiful. i was attacked by a blue jay when i was 9 - scratches on my forehead and everything. so that's why i have a fear of our feathered friends. they freak me out!

Phew I am all caught up. I went Nashville over the weekend and couldn't Dis. I can't wait to ride EE. My trip is coming up so fast make my adrs tomorrow!!! I better get to sleep.

Loved the update. It's funny how you and Anna got opposite pics on EE.

i felt like i was in those last scenes of titanic that day! you never know how much cold water hurts until you emerse yourself in it. i didn't have a choice but to keep going. otherwise i would've been stuck in the middle of nowhere in the woods!

thanks! i know - we are two peas in a pod!

Nothing like a little bribery! I think every parent useds it at some point.

Glad you're okay from your kayaking adventure. Kayaking is great, but tipping into the cold water does not sound like fun!

:rotfl: no, i hadn't noticed them but i went back and looked. too funny! tipping over in the water was horrible!

Great shots on EE, I never rode it before this trip so I didn't take any pictures on it for fear of losing my camera! LOL I now know that will not happen so next time!

you're a celebrity! :cool2: just be sure to hold on to the camera when you start going backwards. before that there's nothing to worry about unless you just accidentally drop it.

I like your photopass pictures in front of Everest. They are very nice. I'm glad Anna got to ride EE. That is one of my favorite rides. Is Luke a momma's boy? I have a six year old momma's boy, and I love it.

thanks! yes, luke is a mommy's boy! he loves his daddy and loves to do anything with him because chris works a lot and so luke really cherishes his time with him. but when it comes to being comforted he wants his mama!

:lmao: I thought I would be able to go on EE this year but it looks like my mom won't be coming with us. Next year I'm going with a big group of friends so we can do the kid swap thing.

oh, bummer! hopefully it will happen next year. i'm sure you'll get to ride it soon! i don't know if you guys have thought about it but you can each hop in the single rider line while the other one stays with the kids and i don't think you'd have to wait long! you'd have to ride it alone but it would be worth it.

I have been a luker (and an occasional) on all or your trip reports & I have enjoyed all of them!! I am posting to let you know that last night I made your Mexican Lasagne & it was so yummy & easy to make!! Thanks again for your awesome trip reports & mini trip reports.:goodvibes Keep it coming! :woohoo:

i had full intentions to get an update together at some point today. but instead i ended up sitting at a car dealership for a good part of the day. but the good news is we came home with this..........

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02351.jpg

:yay:

i'm SOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!!!!!!! ray had 2 cars, neither of which had working AC. well, this past week his ford focus had some gas line problems (which he got fixed pretty easily) but he and i had had it with having to deal with these little problems. and with possibly starting a family soon, we REALLY needed another dependable vehicle (that had more than 2 doors!). so we traded in his ford focus and volkswagon cabrio for this baby. it's a 2007 honda CR-V. i already have a 2003 honda CR-V that's navy blue and we both love it so i knew when we found this one it would be great for us. ray's going to drive the blue one and i'm going to drive the newer car. I LOVE IT!!!!!! it's fully loaded with leather seats, only 25,000 miles and the best part.....the fact that it's VANDERBILT GOLD!!!!!!!!! pirate:

here are some more pictures......

me being very happy with my new toy!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02355.jpg

i called anna to tell her we got the car and she wanted to come over and see it. she called me when she was on the way over and she said, "i just want you to know my son insisted that he run over there. so i'm in the car on the road next to him pacing him. he keeps screaming, "WOOOHOOOO" every now and then!" :lmao: that kid is so crazy! it's probably about 1/2 mile from my house to hers. anyway, i ran outside and got a picture of them going down the road in front of the house, luke running on the sidewalk and anna in the car next to him. :rotfl:

That's so funny that Luke wanted to run beside the car! :rotfl:

I think I missed something too....where is the comment about the prenatal vitamins! :goodvibes Yeah! Love the new car...we have a crossover type vehicle too (Ford Edge) and we love it. Not too big, not to small. Maybe you will get lucky like me and be preggers in 3 weeks...not kidding!:lmao: Dave was dissapointed that we didn't get to "try" longer!:rotfl2:

2 years before Patrick was born, my mom asked me when I thought we would have a baby. I told her June 17, 2001. He was born on the 26th...yeah, first try! We hoped to have our second one in March/April so I could have off the end of the school year plus the summer. He was born in September. Trust me, "trying" is more stressful than fun.

:rotfl:

for those of you that asked, i figured i'd let you know here instead of answering a zillion times. yes, i started prenatal vitamins on friday. i went for my annual exam that day and my ob/gyn told me she wanted me to start on them now and figure out which kind i like best. she gave me 2 kinds to try and said if i didn't like either of those to call her and she'd give me more. i'm still on the pill but she said when i finish the pack i'm on to just stop taking them. HOWEVER, i have dental work (wisdom teeth extraction and a cavity to be filled) scheduled in july and i have no intentions of undergoing dental work without drugs (i'm a big baby and fully admit it) so i don't want to start trying until august. so there you have it! no babies for us quite yet. ;)

I just finished reading everything so far.... I love your trip report!!

thanks for joining in!!!

Yeah prenatel vitamins!!! I'm so excited for you!. I love your reports, I am following both so keep them coming! :goodvibes

thanks! i'm glad to have you!

Love the sleeping photo!!! :rotfl:

isn't that great? :rotfl:

It's called being young vs. old age! :rotfl2:

i think i just have some mysterious disney adrenaline that kicks in when i set foot on property. it's a freakish thing.

by the way, i'm so sorry for getting behind on your TR. i'm hoping to do some catching up on several TRs tonight and tomorrow.

bwahahahahahhahahaha they fell asleep! I usually do that on Ellen's Universe of Adventure or whatever the heck it's called. Can't help it. Movement, cool, dark...zzzzzzzz.

I can NOT believe that they sell Webkinz in Disney. hmm or maybe I can. Wierd.

i've never ridden that! yeah, that was a webkinz. and i didn't even know it when he bought it!

Yayyyyy, what a fancy new car!!!

Luke is hilarious, running alongside Anna's car! How cute! At least he might have been a bit worn out after that!? :rotfl:

I think they put your steering wheel on the wrong side... oh-oh!!

:rotfl2: OMG....you're right!!!!! whatever will i do?

Prenatal vitamins? Yay! I really hope it happens soon for you & Ray! :goodvibes

The new car is awesome! Did you take it on a long joy ride with the windows down, radio up yesterday?

That's so funny that Luke wanted to run beside the car!

no, no windows down because it was hot in georgia yesterday! well, it wasn't really hot but the sun was beaming down so that makes it FEEL hot. i can't wait for the weather to cool off in the fall and go riding with my sunroof open and the windows down!

thanks! yeah, drugs are needed for sure! i'm taking valium on the way there and then he's going to sedate me for the surgery. i hope it's not too bad. only one is impacted and it's only about halfway impacted. the rest are fully in and so they will just need to be pulled.

once the show started, everyone woke up, thank goodness! although i do have to say that i saw ray doze off a couple of times. he was really was struggling during this part of the trip! as i said before, he has occasional insomnia and we were doing some gung-ho touring because we only had 4 days. i felt bad for him!

here are some pictures of the show. my pictures aren't always the best in here because of the lack of flash and because they move so quickly. some of these are anna's, too.

enjoying some entertainment in africa!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/48-5.jpg

wow....if only we could all wake up to one of these in the morning! :rotfl:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/49-5.jpg

when we got off the safari i called anna to see if they were on yet. she said luke had fallen asleep and so they were just gonna skip it. :guilty: i felt bad but i knew there was no way around it. we were running out of time! it was around 3:20 or so, so she said they were gonna get us a spot for the parade at 3:45 and then she was gonna run down to flame tree BBQ to get them something to eat. we weren't hungry so i declined for her to get us anything.

on the way to meet them ray and i had a little discussion about the rest of our evening. our plan after the parade was to leave AK, go to the WL to see the christmas decorations and change clothes, then head to MK for MVMCP. well, ray was REALLY needing a break. he just needed about an hour to CHILL OUT. like i said before, i think i just run on pure joy and adrenaline at disney world but i know not everyone is like that. my only hangup with changing our plans was that i wouldn't get to see the WL and that's the one i REALLY wanted to see at christmas! ray looked at me dead in the eyes and said, "what if i told you that i promise you we will stay there when we come back in 2010?"

:yay:

OKAY!!!!!!!

i couldn't turn that offer down! a PROMISE to stay there???? sure!!!!!

so our plan is to buy DVC points from tara (thanks, tara!) when we return in december 2010 and stay at VWL. right now we're planning on december 5th through december 11th. actually, we'll probably leave on friday december 3rd, stay off property that night, go to sea world on december 4th, stay off site again and then check in at disney sunday morning on the 5th. i can't wait!!!!! the only thing that would change our plans is if i'm 6+ months pregnant or if we have a tiny baby at the time, like less than 5 months old. only time will tell!!!! popcorn::

anyway, back to the trip!

we also had a talk about spending some alone time together that night. we love, love, love anna, chris and luke. but if you're not used to being around someone all the time like that, you need a break. and i'm sure they needed a break from us, too! so ray and i agreed that we would do our own thing the rest of the night. i talked to anna about it when we met them before the parade and she was totally cool with it. :thumbsup2 that's what cell phones are for!!!

up next....A JINGLE JUNGLE PARADE and giving a taxi driver directions is never a good sign!!!

I am so glad the creators of Nemo decided to make the actors such a big part of the show rather than hide them out. Their costumes and expressions are a big part of making the show great.

Just out of curiosity, does Luke call Mr. Ray Mr. Gray??? ;)

Not a bird around stands a chance with you, do they? :goodvibes
Poor guy was just minding his business and not bothering anybody.
Beauty is only skin, er... uh, feather deep, you know!
He might be the nicest guy in the world, if you'd get to know him. :)

Ray's not going to back out on the WL promise and claim he was delirious from exhaustion when he made that claim, is he?

That definitely does give you something to look forward to, so time this little baby right so he/she fits right into the plan!

Of course, I am looking forward to seeing the Jingle Jungle Parade.
You may be posting it while I'm typing this, in which case I'll sound like a dummy if you already have the pictures above this post.

Wow! I really need to figure out this working and dising thing. I am SO far behind on so many TR's and PTR's.
I'm heading over to your NY TR.
Congrats on your new car. Sometimes it's more affordable to replace a car, than to keep fixing an old one. It's very beautiful. Have fun with it.
Good luck with the prenatals. You should get really nice nails and hair from taking them.
And, your safari pics don't look bad at all compared to the way mine turn out. Mine are always blurry! It's like when your looking at them, they are in some kind of code and I have to crack it to determine what amimal I'm looking at. :lmao:

i just answered it above! i really think i might stop trying in october/november just to avoid having a july/august baby. but it just depends on how i'm feeling at the time. if i have the attitude that i'd just rather get it over with, then i'll go ahead and keep trying!

I hear ya! I have to include Sept. in there too...personally for me Aug/Sept is our hottest months...but I do understand exactly what you are saying :goodvibes

sure!!!!! ray's actually taking that day off and i scheduled it on a friday so i'd have the weekend to recover and wouldn't miss much work. i'm even gonna *try* to go to a twilight convention on sunday in atlanta! we'll see how i feel!

I bet you'll feel ok to go to the convention. If it's not an ALL day 12+ hr long thing or something. One big suggestion I can make is EAT! Think of soft things you like to keep up your strength. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, steamed broccoli, smoothies, spaghetti, soups....I'll think of more :goodvibes

I bet we have to work that day b/c I don't have many days off between now and the first week of August. But I would love to come and take you and baby you after

:yay:

OKAY!!!!!!!

i couldn't turn that offer down! a PROMISE to stay there???? sure!!!!!

That SO sounds like Matt :lmao:...he will promise just about anything when he wants to do the opposite of me, but I always make him stick to it ;)

I do wish we could go that same week with you guys....but I know he will be in LA that week :sad2:

I wouldn't want to have my wisdom teeth out without being knocked out either!! I have a hard time going even when I know I'll be in lala land.

Ohhh what a great deal to make with Ray! WL was gorgeous in April but I've only seen pictures of it around Christmas time and it looks even better! I know what you mean about just needing a break from people too. I remember going on vacation with my best friend in the whole world a few years ago and after like 3 days of constantly being together, we needed a break from eachother.

Your Nemo pictures came out really good! Reading your narration through it made me wanna see it again :thumbsup2

Hey Dawn,

I've sort of turned into a lurker on the DIS but I have been keeping up with your reports! They are all great as usual. Love your new car! I really like the new design of the CRV's and it is on my list of potential cars to buy in the future. But I just paid off my Saturn so I hope to keep that for at least another year. And more congrats on trying for a baby! That is VERY exciting. Best of luck to you and Ray with everything! It stinks about your oral surgery - not sure if you were around on the Peeps thread when I was having dental drama and ended up having my wisdom teeth removed. I only had 2 (on the bottom) and they were impacted and I ended up having deep sedation so I remember nothing after they put the IV in my arm. I was extra super careful about eating the dr. recommended foods for about a week, but I felt fine the next day. A little sore, especially if I moved my mouth in a certain way, but it wasn't too bad. I laid low and enjoyed the percocets, but if I had to go somewhere (especially somewhere fun!), I probably would have been fine with just some tylenol. The week before I was so nervous plus the week or so after I was eating so little that I actually lost close to 15 lbs! Most of it stayed off too once I went back to my usual diet. Something to look forward to - not that you need to lose anything, but everyone loves seeing smaller numbers on the scale, right? Good luck!

Your Nemo pics are fantastic. I can't wait to see this show on our next trip. I don't think my camera will do that well w/out the flash.

The pre-natal vitamins are tricky. When I started taking them, I bought the first brand I saw and they were fine. Then I couldn't find them so I bought the huge bottle from Costco because they were cheaper. I didn't really care for them, but I kept going on them...until I actually got pregnant and then I hated them. So I had to switch again. I tried multiple brands and it was always different what made me feel good (or bad) depending on my stage of pregnancy. Isn't that weird?

I would definately wait until after your dental work to get pregnant. I had my wisdom teeth pulled and about 3 months after my teeth were pulled I started to have a lot of pain in the back of my jaw were one of my bottom teethe were. Tirns out that I had a peice of bone move and it had started to stick out of my jaw.:scared1: It was very painful anyways. I went back to the dentist but by that time I was pregnant and the meds they gave me didn't work so I felt everything they had to do!!! She had to file it down and it was painful beside the fact that I had morning sickness and they had to stop halfway through the procedure so I could run to the bathroom! I didn't make it and they had to clean up the halway. I was so embaresed. They were really good about it told me it had happend before and not to worry about it. She also told me that she had never seen anybody elses bone start to stick out their jaw like that. I also had a tooth that had an extra root so I just have a really odd mouth.:rotfl2: So needless to say wait until you are done with your teeth work until you get pregnant!!!!! I also love your cr-v. Hi Dawn

Just catching up. Totally cracked me up that Luke ran to your house ! Like someone else said Anna is a great Mom. I remember you commenting on some people treating her badly ( obviously jealous) and that just breaks my heart she's obviously a wonderful person. I know you and Ray are going to be the kind of fun parents that Anna and Chris are.

Your Mr Ray pictures were great he's my favorite in that show and I can never get a good picture. Funny that Anna and Chris got that fastpass picture while Luke was asleep, he couldn't protest that way!

Good luck with the wisdom teeth next month, sounds like it shouldn't be too bad with only one impacted. Sweet of Erica to offer to take care of you:flower3: I work for a dentist let me know if you have any questions.

:banana:Happy Birthday Luke!!

I can't wait for the Nemo Musical! This past weekend Amelia started requesting to watch Finding Nemo...."Memo?" We have probably watched it once to twice daily for the past few days. She really likes "shishies" (fishies) and will make the mouth movements like a fish so I think that the show is a must do for December.

I promise to take lots of pics of the WL for you to see when we go this year in December!:santa:

I had to have dental work too before we started trying. I tried many prenatal vitamins that were nasty too....I had morning sickness bad! If you want a good frank/funny read about pregnancy I highly recommend the book "Pregnancy Sucks...What to do when your miracle makes you miserable" It is by Joanne Kimes. It helped me deal with all the "different things" going on with my body in a chatting with your best girlfriend sort of way. Good Luck!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LUKE! :cheer2: Love the baby pic, he looked like himself even then! You looked really cute in that haircut.

I loved the update! I had no idea the Nemo show is that detailed. I thought it would be hokey, but now I think I'd like to see it.

As for your teeth - you might be fine. I had mine out when i was 19. I was dating my DH then. I took tylenol and let him baby me for one evening, and I was back to work the next day.

I hope you're doing well with the vitamins. Once again, alot of people take them with no probs. I'm excited to see how things go for you. I had a baby the end of Aug - it can be a challenge, but once he was born, I forgot about the heat and swelling!

well, i was gonna reply to posts and do an update last night (it's all uploaded and ready to go) but when i came over to the disboards they were down and it said they'd be down until around 3am. we are headed out the door in about an hour for luke's outdoor adventure birthday party in the mountains, so i won't be able to do the update today. maybe tonight? and i will definitely have pictures of luke's birthday party to share later on. anna has my camera (hers is broken) so as soon as i get the pictures off it from her then i'll have those. probably monday or tuesday since they're camping all weekend. have a good saturday!

hey, guys! i have a question for you all about prenatals. i'm taking neevo right now and they're great. i haven't had any side effects that i can tell. so i called my doctor and she called in the prescription and when i called the pharmacy to see how much they were, they were $54 for a month's supply. they're a "tier 3" medicine on my insurance which means the co-pay is $65. of course they just charge you the full $54 instead of the co-pay. the whole reason i got on ray's insurance (besides maternity coverage) was to take advantage of the co-pays. the tier 1 co-pay is $15 and the tier 2 is $45. i called my doctor to see if they could recommend another kind of prenatal that was cheaper and she wants to look at the list of medications my insurance covers, so while i'm waiting on that list to be mailed to me she gave me 2 more boxes of samples of neevo. anyway, so my question is does anyone have another kind they can recommend to me?

You may be posting it while I'm typing this, in which case I'll sound like a dummy if you already have the pictures above this post.

i know! at first i wasn't interested in seeing it but the actors themselves really add so much to the show.

i've never heard luke refer to mr. ray so i'm not sure if he calls him gray or not. he still calls ray "gray" though!

me being nice to a bird stands about as much of a chance of happening as you voluntarily getting on mission space!

no, ray's not backing out. HE KNOWS BETTER!!!!! we were just talking about the trip today on the way to luke's birthday party. :goodvibes

:lmao:

thanks! the prenatals are going great so far (see above). my safari pics are always bad.....i'm glad i'm not the only one!

Loved seeing the Nemo pictures! I can't wait to see that! It's one of the things we HAVE to see!

thanks! it's really a great show.

I hear ya! I have to include Sept. in there too...personally for me Aug/Sept is our hottest months...but I do understand exactly what you are saying :goodvibes

CUTE!!!

That looks like the baby...love it!!

That SO sounds like Matt :lmao:...he will promise just about anything when he wants to do the opposite of me, but I always make him stick to it ;)

I do wish we could go that same week with you guys....but I know he will be in LA that week :sad2:

oh, don't you worry! i will stock up on soup and mashed potatoes and oatmeal and yogurt and ice cream before the surgery! ray's taking that day off and it's on a friday so i really hope i'll be okay by sunday to go. if not, i don't have my ticket yet so no biggie.

oh, ray's promised many crazy things in order to get out of something but he's usually pretty good with sticking to his word. boys are so funny sometimes!

i know you've told me but what's going on in LA in december of 2010 that he knows so far ahead? i know it's probably something that happens every year or something. i have a terrible memory about stuff like that!

Yayyyyyyyy!!! My own personal little shout-out!!

Good luck with the wisdom teeth next month, sounds like it shouldn't be too bad with only one impacted. Sweet of Erica to offer to take care of you:flower3: I work for a dentist let me know if you have any questions.
Lynn

yeah, luke's one crazy kid! you're right about anna. she's such a sweet, caring, fun person and it's a shame people react with jealousy and nastiness to her. it's really made me see how silly people are. glad you liked the mr. ray picture! erica's a dental assistant so she knows what to expect! i'm sure you know (i can't remember if you're reading our TR or not) but we're "real life" friends too so it wouldn't be like someone i've never met coming to take care of me! i will definitely let you know if i have any questions! no offense but i hate the dentist. no offense to you, too, erica!

Hey Dawn! I just got all caught up and I'm lovin' it. Your AK pics are gorgeous! I also loved the videos of Devine, I've never seen her and she's so cool. Nemo looks like a really fun show too! I can't wait to see pics from the parade and hear about the rest of your night. Congrats on the new car :thumbsup2

I started a new pre-trip report since we've made so many changes to the trip. The links in my signature so check it out if you get a chance!

thanks! devine was really cool. we saw her twice that trip which was just awesome. she was on that back pathway between africa and asia. thanks about the car! i will def. check out your PTR!

I had a maroon 2003 CRV and traded it for a Chrysler Pacifica IN 2005...well let me tell you the gas is HORRIBLE in the Pacifica and I cannot wait to go back to the CRV.We even drove our crv from NY to WDW! CONGRATS!:yay:

cool! i love both our CR-Vs. they're such great cars. i've had the car a week today and i've only put gas in it twice and it fills up with $30 of plus gasoline. :thumbsup2

Congrats on the new car! It is gorgeous!

Luke is hilarous! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Pure Entertainment that kid!

Great update too! Very cool you did your own thing for the night! We stayed at WL this last summer when we went to WDW and loved it! Ray is so sweet! WL is gorgeous and a great location! Have fun planning for 2010!
We're not going back to WDW until 2010 either and it may just be a mommy/daughter trip.

thanks! yes, luke is a hoot! he's such a funny kid. i can't wait for VWL. when i saw WL with my own eyes in april of last year i fell in love with it!

Good Luck!

"memo?" so cute!!! be sure to get a times guide at AK because they don't offer the nemo show all day. when we were there it was just twice a day. i can't wait to see your pics! definitely let me know if you're doing a TR! i will remember that book. i love reading so anything to do with having a baby is probably next on my list!

I had a baby the end of Aug - it can be a challenge, but once he was born, I forgot about the heat and swelling!

luke was such a cute baby! that head full of black hair was just so cute. thanks about the haircut. i chopped off all my hair after a bad perm. i would rather have no hair than fried hair!

the nemo show is really cute. the actors are awesome. god to hear about your wisdom teeth experience. i hope i do that well! see above (in a previous post) about the prenatals. so far, so good!

Those are the exact dates we are going too! Love your report, maybe we'll see you then!!

cool! i'm sure i'll do a pre-TR but probably won't start it until next summer sometime. let me know if you do one!

Wow Dawn great Photo of you two. I thought Ty had alot of hair look at Luke's.
I am loving you reports. Keep them coming.

It's technically not his Birthday now...but Happy Birthday Lukester!

Oh and I looking more at your short hair in the pic! It was short, but looked good!!!:thumbsup2

Aw, I hope Luke had a good b-day! Such a cute pic!

Happy Birthday Luke!

Happy Birthday, Luke!!!

Great pic of you two, by the way! :goodvibes

Have fun at the adventure party, sounds like fun. Happy Birthday to Luke.

thanks to all of you for luke's birthday wishes! i'm e-mailing the links to anna right now so she can share them with him. :goodvibes he had a great birthday. his party was "outdoor adventure" themed and we went to unicoi state park. it was really fun - i will share some pics later!

jordan - thanks about the hair! that short hair was a result of a bad perm. i chopped it all off after the one and only time i fried my hair. it was so bad that i decided i'd rather have no hair than sticky hair!!!! i kinda liked it short while i had it that way though.

when i last left you we were just meeting back up with anna, chris and luke to watch the jingle jungle parade at AK (and ray had just promised me that we'd stay at WL on the next trip)! anna had saved us a place near pizzafari (just a little ways down). she had gone to get some food at flametree BBQ but we just weren't hungry at that point. so we got settled in to enjoy the parade while anna, chris and luke ate some grub.

we didn't wait long before the parade started! some of these are mine and some are anna's. i tried to keep them in order but some may be slightly out of order. i'm throwing in some close-ups she took of luke because i think they're just precious.

i love king louie with a banana on his head!

here comes pluto! one of my favorites. please excuse my husband for being obnoxious! he says something like, "that's a big girl to be a dancer." then stupid me (who forgot he was taping) said, "yeah it is." i didn't mean that she was fat. but most dancing CMs you see are on the thin side. i was like, "YOU GO GIRL!!!!" i love to see people mix up things a little bit. :thumbsup2 and of course high-fives from pluto are always a good thing.

that parade is so cute! i'm glad we saw it. although it's not really that much different from the regular AK parade. they basically just add some jingle bells, fake snow and wreaths and change the music up a little bit and there you have it. still very cute though.

after the parade anna and chris told luke to pick out some mickey ears. he hadn't gotten any yet and we were sitting next to a hat kiosk. this is what he chose. super cool!

i have to say i was kind of sad to leave this park because i knew we only had the christmas party left and then that would be it....no more disney for me for 2 YEARS!!!! :sad1: but i put on a happy face because i was hoping the christmas party would be a great ending to our little trip.

i was behind this lady on the way out. why in the world would you wear these shoes to disney? i will never understand.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/35-14.jpg

ray and i were going to take a taxi back to the condo because anna, chris and luke were going to the WL to change clothes and see the decorations. but we had to take the tram back to their car because our change of clothes was there. chris decided to try on luke's hat for kicks. :rotfl2:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/36-14.jpg

i don't know what was so funny but luke was having a BLAST walking to the car. he was cracking me up!!!! :rotfl:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/39-13.jpg

this is where we split up for the night. ray and i got our stuff out of their car and we grabbed a tram back to the entrance of the park to get a taxi. no more pictures from us until the next installment. basically what happened is we got a cab, told the cab driver where we were staying and he said, "no problem." well, when we got to the exit of AK he said, "which way?" luckily i kinda remembered how to get back to the condo. anna had been driving the whole time so i wasn't positive but luckily we got back okay. i think the total cab far was like $20 with tip.

we chilled out at the condo for about an hour and then hopped in our car to go back to MK for the party. it was a nice break and i was kinda glad ray made me do it! :upsidedow

back to anna, chris and luke.....

they made their way to the WL after they left us. i can't wait to see this and say, "i'm staying there!"

With those big brown eyes and eyelashes that go on forever..........He's going to be a ladie's man.:)

He looks like someone goosed him in the last picture.

It's fun to see all the details they put into changing it into a christmas parade!

Great update! I loveee love loveee the Jingle Jammin Jungle Parade pics and video! I've never seen the AK parade so it was really cool to see it all Christmas-ed out especially since I want to see it when we're there in December. I really love the pictures of Luke's face too and him going through the parking lot. He's too much

Anna's WL pictures are beautiful too. I say it's definitely one of the best Christmas themed resorts (based on pictures because I've never actually seen them in real life LOL). I can't believe how good they all look after spending the whole day in the park! I think it was Tammy who said something once about looking homeless after a day in the parks...that's what I look like! They look like they just stepped out of their rooms all fresh and stuff :thumbsup2

The parade looks like so much fun! I forgot that Minnie's bathtub smelled like hotccoco! I love the pics of Luke....they are priceless. The tree at WL looks amazing...I am planning on taking our Christmas pic from Disney and sending out my Christmas cards from there...you just gave me some good ideas of where to take the pic! I am planning on a TR...I think you have been to my PTR.

Any questions you have on prenatals...feel free to pm me...I'm a pharmacist and I work retail. I haven't heard of the one you mentioned...might be the regional difference. Most are all the same...all have at least 1mg folic acid. Some just "go down" easier than others. It has been so hard with all of the prenatals. I think 2 of the big manufacturers have went out of buisness so we keep having to switch some customers to other brands. I took some generic over the counter ones before I got pregnant. Once my morning sickness kicked in (and did it ever!) I found I could only stomach the Natelle brand (they have a generic also). They have a coating that made them easier to swallow. I don't know if you are looking for one with DHA also? Those are harder for some to take because they make some nauseous (I couldn't take them). There is one of the generics that smells like vanilla so it is well tolerated! I can't remember the name of it though....I will snif it out tomorrow at work and let you know.

Sorry this is so long!

:cloud9: WL is my deluxe dream. I suspect I will never actually get to stay there so it will probably remain my dream

Luke is so stinkin cute!! He cracks me up.

My 2 cents on the prenatals thing...I would seriously ask your doc what is in the prescription ones that make them worth that kind of money. Personally, I always just took over the counter ones. My doc never even suggested that I might want/need something else.

The Wilderness Lodge is truly a beautiful place, and especially so at Christmas. I think you will love staying there. Nicole786 has stayed there a few times and just loves it.

I appreciate the cast members who seem to enjoy the roles they play in the parades. I'm sure it has to get tiring doing the same parade day in and day out, but the fact that they look like they are having such a good time, even if they might not be, is nice for those of us who don't see it every day.

Wow, I am joining your TR w-a-y late, but I have to tell you that you are one amazing Trip Reporter.:thumbsup2 I've been looking for Christmas TRs to help planning my December trip and yours just hits the spot. I am amazed by how much you got done in 4 days and by how many great photopass pics you got in that amount of time. I am getting so excited reading your TR. Amazing firework pics.:thumbsup2 Thanks for uploading all the video, love it! I hope it is not as cold when we go as it sounds like your trip started out being. Boy you all did get soaked that first day.

I'll be sticking around to hear more about MVMCP. It's worth the wait.:goodvibes

Hey Dawn,
Wow, such a good update I don't know where to begin. LOVED the pics of Luke's face during the parade, they were precious pictures! The parade looked great, can't wait to see it some day - can't believe it really smells like chocolate. Loved your videos.
The guy playing the monkey. . .when I saw him I immediately thought he looked familiar, then I started thinking and went back to my old photo albums - he was the guy in Festival of the Lion King 2 years ago who pulled Lauren out into the show and danced with her - cool!:thumbsup2
The WL decorations are GORGEOUS! So happy Ray promised you a stay there some day, it really is such a great resort.
Well, gotta go get ready for church. Have a good one, can't wait for another update!

Stinks that your med's are cheaper than the stupid co-pay. I have a RX like that where it's a tier 3 and so the insurance pays like $8....sucks!

Those close up pics you have a Luke are PRECIOUS!!!! Such a sweet face!

i know you've told me but what's going on in LA in december of 2010 that he knows so far ahead? i know it's probably something that happens every year or something. i have a terrible memory about stuff like that!

Oh that's alright you don't have or need to remember . Actually I just looked at the calendar and he will be in LA the week before. They always go do inventory the week after Thanksgiving. So it usually means he's gone on my B-day :sad1:....BUT THIS YEAR I WON'T CARE!!! :yay::woohoo::dance3::woohoo::yay:

We might be able to work something out. I say that lightly (and small) b/c he likes to be at work the week after since they are reconciling all the #'s and really it's his baby. But we had discussed going this year and he said well maybe I could go the week after....so who knows???? Hopefully he will have his job (which is the biggest thing overall) and it could be something we have to 'work out' :upsidedow

i think the total cab fare was like $20 with tip.

When you think about it, it really is crazy it cost you guys 20 bucks to get back to your resort. Cabbies do make some $$$$ don't they???

they made their way to the WL after they left us. i can't wait to see this and say, "i'm staying there!"

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/40-11.jpg

SUCH pretty christmas decorations! i really wanted to see these myself but i know my day will come.

And you will  LOVE  it!!!!! I have stayed there before and it is such an AWESOME place!!

I do have to say IF we could make it work I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be staying here, but we could come visit a LOT!! :yay:

The pictures of Luke watching the parade are priceless - you can totally tell he loved it! The ones of him walking back to the car are adorable, too!

As far as prenatals go, I took the Target brand ones. My doc said it was no problem at all! Its just that some prenatals will sit better with one person then another... just like with any other vitamins!

Dawn, still loving all you reports...you are making me consider a trip to WDW near Christmas to see all the decorations!

As for pre-natals...I only took the otc Materna brand. My doctor never even mentioned a prescription vitamin. I am not a great "pill taker" and these were no problem for me. I do live in Canada so I am sure there are some brand/name differences, but they are made by Centrum so there must be some comparable! And the $$ was CONSIDERABLY less...I think they were about $25 for 100. Hope you can find something that works out for you.
And good luck!!!

Awesome update Dawn! Those parade pics are so good and the ones from WL are great too. It's so pretty over there at Christmas. I wish we could have met on this trip! These past few times we were there at the same time and missed one another. :headache:

You were asking about prenatal vitamins. The first time I used them I miscarried. The second and third times I used them as soon as I started I would bleed and have complications. With my last baby I didn't find out I was pregnant 'til @ 13 weeks. I had never taken vitamins with him. Never a glimpse of blood. Then the day I started taking them that night it appeared. I stopped the vitamins immediately and the bleeding stopped. Why this never clicked before I don't know. I just figured I was clueless. They figured out the vitamins were more harm for me than good. DD was a twin and I lost that baby too. I'm just sayin...you don't have to take a vitamin to get a healthy baby. Sometimes the additives can do more harm than good. You need to drink a LOT of OJ and eat healthy. If you do that you don't need them!

OMG I just love the close ups of Luke watching the parade his eye lashes are beautiful!!!!

Over here we're just advised to take folic acid prenatally, I just bought off the shelf ones which were pretty cheap. Then if once we're pregnant we need iron or anything we're then prescribed it. Just eat healthy and you'll be fine :thumbsup2

Still totally bummed that I missed you by a week! Hopefully next time. Now why is it that you don't get to go for 2 years? I thought it was a one year break?

I must know... where is the banana smoothies? I have never heard or seen them before.

We were supposed to eat at Tusker House for breakfast and I cancelled it to hang with DIS friends. Next time! It looks really yummy!

I've been gone for awhile... but am really excited to catch up on all of my DIS friends TR's! Can't wait for the rest... but it makes me want to go back. :sad1:

Ditto Jo!

Folic is what is recommended for sure before you get prego... and no drinking. As for a prenatal I couldn't take them but ate a children's chewable instead with low iron. I get extremely sick with hyperemesis and need to have a PIC line feeding me anti nausea and rehydration meds... but I'm not normal. ;)

Good Luck Kiddo!

we got some sad news a couple of hours ago. lucy, ray's mom's beagle, passed away today. she was 14 years old and has been in bad health for awhile now. we knew it was coming but it doesn't make it any less sad.

so i thought i'd remember her here just to sort of help myself with the situation.

the story of lucy is really cute. ray and i had been dating almost a year in november 1994. we worked at a restaurant in downtown nashville and on the weekends instead of driving all the way back to our hometown (about a 30-40 minute drive) we'd stay at my dad's house because he lived pretty close to downtown. i would sleep with my sister and ray would stay in what used to be my bedroom.

ray has always suffered from occasional insomnia so one night he was sitting up and everyone in the house was asleep. at the time my sister was 11 and my brother 8 so all my parents had in the house were disney movies and other kid-friendly stuff. so ray put in "the fox and the hound" to pass the time while he couldn't sleep. he had never seen it before.

the next day was a sunday and we had to be at work for the lunch shift. on the way ray wanted to stop and buy a sunday paper. i asked why as this was unusual for him and he said he wanted to look at the classifieds because he wanted to get a HOOOOOOOOOOOUNNNNNNNND dog! :goodvibes it was the cutest thing i've ever heard!

so we found an ad for beagle puppies, called the number and went to check them out after work. $40 and one scared little puppy later we had a new beagle hound named lucy!

ray still lived at home with his mom at the time and so we didn't exactly have her permission to get another dog. i too still lived at home and my mom is not a dog person so we knew lucy would live with ray. when we took her back to ray's house that night he walked into his house with her stuffed down in his winter jacket (it was cold out) with only her little head hanging out the top. his mom just looked at him and said, "no way. i already have 2 dogs. NO WAY!!!!!!" she told us we had to get rid of her and we had a month to do it.

needless to say, that never happened. we sort of just didn't bring it up again and eventually she became a part of the family. ray and his family moved to georgia a year later and when ray decided to get his own apartment a few months later, he made plans to take lucy with him and his mom was like, "um......no......she's MY dog!" :rotfl2: that's why we ended up getting sherman a few years later.

lucy has always been sort of "ours" just because we picked her out. sometime around 1998 she swallowed a button off the couch and had to have surgery to have it removed from her stomach. not a major surgery except that a spinal disc slipped into her spinal cord and paralized her from the waste down. it was the saddest thing i've ever seen. she fortunately got the function back in her legs after about two weeks but she's never been the same since.

anyway, here's our dear little lucy. this was taken not long after we got her.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/IMG_0001.jpg

i took her to meet my grandparents around the same time. my grandmother took this one of us.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/IMG.jpg

here's a couple more a few years later. i'm guessing this was 2002, right after ray and i got married because we were still in our apartment. lucy would've been about 8 years old here. you can tell how she aged really quickly after her surgery incident, but she was still a sweetie!!!

lucy giving ray a kiss....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/Picture017-6.jpg

this was taken around 2005. lucy and sherman actually getting along for 10 minutes to take a nap together!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/Picture007-4.jpg

ray and i are going to his mom's house to plant a butterfly bush over lucy's grave tomorrow. we've had it for about 2 weeks now - like i said, we knew it was coming.

she will be missed. :sad1:

I'm so sorry! I know what it's like to lose a beloved pet, even when you know it's coming. There are times I still cry about my first dog even though he died many years ago. Our next family dog is probably not going to be around much longer and I'm not sure what I'll do.

Anyway, I'm so sorry you lost your Lucy. Those photos are adorable. She looks like such a sweet dog. And you guys were so young! It's sweet of you to commemorate her by planting something.

Sorry for you loss :sad1:. Lucy was a cutie.

Also wanted to chime in on the prenatal vitamins. I couldn't take them with either of my kids because I had really bad morning sickness all the time. My OB was not overly concerned and just told me to take two Flintstone vitamins a day instead. It worked for me and both my kids are perfectly fine, one of them was 10 lbs. at birth :scared1:.

Those pictures of Luke are the best!!

With those big brown eyes and eyelashes that go on forever..........He's going to be a ladie's man.:)

He looks like someone goosed him in the last picture.

It's fun to see all the details they put into changing it into a christmas parade!

yeah, i know....they're gonna have their hands full in a few years! it was a lot like the normal parade but with jingle bells.

Dawn, I am really enjoying your tr. I enjoyed it before but now it is making me even more excited for our trip. We are going the Sunday after Thanksgivingand staying until the next Monday.

cool! glad i'm getting you excited for your trip. i'm sure you'll have a great time!

They look like they just stepped out of their rooms all fresh and stuff :thumbsup2

you guys will love it there at christmas.....so pretty and fun! yes, WL is so beautiful....i can't wait to see it with my own eyes all decked out for christmas! oh, we all looked homeless. i'm sure anna brought some makeup to freshen up and a change of clothes, a wash of the face and a little deoderant does wonders!:rotfl:

Luke has the most gorgeous eyes!

i agree! he's a cutie.

Sorry this is so long!

anna used one of the pictures in front of the tree at WL as her christmas card this past year. i want to use one of me and ray at the osborne lights this year. i've probably been to your PTR....i can't keep up with all of them! i try though.

i actually found an over-the-counter one that i'm trying. the girl at the vitamin shoppe recommended it because it's easy to swallow. it's by twinlab and i got a 2-month supply for $21. i started it today and so far, so good. we'll see!

My doc never even suggested that I might want/need something else.

i love WL too! you guys should look into buying DVC points next time if you want to stay there. it's cheaper than actually getting a room (usually).

i don't think my doctor realized they were gonna cost that much. i found some at the vitamin shoppe by twinlab that i'm trying. i talked to her nurse and she said that's fine. i just started on them today but so far no nausea.

The Wilderness Lodge is truly a beautiful place, and especially so at Christmas. I think you will love staying there. Nicole786 has stayed there a few times and just loves it.

I appreciate the cast members who seem to enjoy the roles they play in the parades. I'm sure it has to get tiring doing the same parade day in and day out, but the fact that they look like they are having such a good time, even if they might not be, is nice for those of us who don't see it every day.

i'm so looking forward to staying at the WL! only a year and 5 months to go!!!! :rotfl:

i agree about the cast members. it's so disney to me for them to go above and beyond what they have to. nowhere else does that happen!

Another great update. I sure hope we see the Jammin' Jungle Parade this trip.... it looks so fun. Sorry you missed seeing the WL, I hope to stay there some holiday season, it looks so pretty!

As for the vitamins... I just took Dr Samples or the store brand... sorry!

you're at disney world right now!!!!!!!! i hope you're having a blast. i need to get over to your TR to see what you guys are doing today and imagine i'm there with you. :goodvibes

I love the update! I still have never been to AK!!!

I want to wish Luke a happy late birthday....

Happy Birthday Luke!!!!

party:

how have you never been to AK? oh, you guys have got to go there!!!! maybe this december? hollie would love seeing all the animals! i will pass your birthday wishes along to luke!

It's worth the wait.:goodvibes

awwww....thanks so much! we did get a lot done in 4 days but by the 4th day everyone (but me) was exhausted! it's better to go for a longer time and take your time. oh, wait until you see the fireworks pictures i got at MVMCP. they are so much better!

Hey Dawn,
Wow, such a good update I don't know where to begin.
Have a good one, can't wait for another update!

i actually started on an over-the-counter kind today. it's by twinlab and my doctor's nurse says it sounds like the ingredients are fine. no nausea yet but i just started today. we'll see! by the way i got your e-mail and just haven't had time to respond yet!

gotcha (about matt). i totally understand. some things in life are unfortunately more important than trips to disney world! if you guys did go and we overlapped days or whatever we'd definitely do some meals together and maybe some park touring. fun! and of course you'd be welcome to visit us!

thanks! if i'm remember correctly we really didn't "know" each other until after we returned in december. so when we were there the same time in september and december we didn't even know it. such a bummer!

that's so crazy about the prenatals for you! i'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. i had a friend go through that and i asked her once if anything anyone said to her made her feel any better and she said no, just say you're sorry for the loss and go about your business because no one will understand how it feels. :guilty: i will definitely stop taking them if i see any spotting. crazy! i try to eat healthy but i can't do the OJ - it gives me heartburn plus i don't really like it. i eat more fruit than i drink fruit juice.

Just eat healthy and you'll be fine :thumbsup2

isn't he a cutie?

i got a prenatal over the counter the other day that was $21 for a 2-month supply and so far it's working okay. we'll see!

:sad1:

i know! i wish i could coordinate trips with all my dis friends!!! well, technically now it's 1 year, 5 months and some-odd days. but at the time we were there it was 2 years until we are returning. the reason is because we're going to try to get pregnant starting in august and i figure, best case scenario, i'll have a baby in may. ray wants to go back for christmas again so i figure we'll have a little one but that'll be fine - we'll just take it slow and do what we want and no commando touring. and staying at the VWL it will be great!

the banana drink isn't really a smoothie. it's more of a frozen coke but instead of coke it's banana-flavored. the ones we always get are at the herbie's drive-in kiosk outside of cars motors action at DHS.

tusker house was GREAT! i highly recommend it for the food and the characters. well, except for goofy. he was a little off that day.

Ditto Jo!

Folic is what is recommended for sure before you get prego... and no drinking. As for a prenatal I couldn't take them but ate a children's chewable instead with low iron. I get extremely sick with hyperemesis and need to have a PIC line feeding me anti nausea and rehydration meds... but I'm not normal. ;)

Good Luck Kiddo!

thanks! i got an over-the-counter prenatal a few days ago and i started it today. it's by twinlab and it's easy to swallow. so far, so good!

First of all........so sorry to hear about Lucy. I think it's beautiful that you are putting in a butterfly bush to remember her by...

Latest TR entry...
I love the JJ Parade! That "monkey guy" is the best!!! I've never seen him in that role before, but I think he used to be part of the FOTLK. I know I've seen him before! Luke's close-ups were too cute! :goodvibes

Sorry that you didn't get to see the WL (yet!). BUT....it will be so worth it when you stay there. It is one of my favorite places that we've stayed so far...just gorgeous! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about the PARTY!

thanks for your sentiments about lucy.

yeah, i think that guy was in FOTLK. lesley said he pulled her little girl out of the audience to be in the show awhile back. seems like he loves his job!

So sorry for your sadness.
I will cry many tears when my sweet, but set-in-his-ways cat goes.
Planting the bush will be special and a sweet way to remember Lucy.

Sweet Lucy!!!

You have told me that story a few times...but it is SO sweet!!! And I love that Ray fell in love with all his babies from the Fox and the Hound

I hope you guys are doing ok, and that is very sweet you are planing the butterfly bush there. I like that idea!

So sorry for the loss. I love the story of how she became apart of the family! Hold those memories in your heart.

I'm so sorry to hear you lost your precious Lucy.

The pics of her are so sweet. I can see why your MIL didn't want to part with her and let Ray take her.

It's so heartbreaking to loose a beloved pet. I feel for you.

I love how you will honor her with the butterfly bush. So touching and beautiful.

I remembered the story of how you got Lucy, it's just the cutest thing.

:grouphug:

Sorry for you loss :sad1:. Lucy was a cutie.

So sorry to hear about that. I love the old pics you posted of you guys and of course the story is so cute. You told me once before. :goodvibes Sweet story.

Aw, that's such a cute story of how you got Lucy. I'm so sorry!

I'm so sorry!

so sad to hear about Lucy, but what a great way to to remember her with the bush

Oh no, sorry to hear about Lucy.

Even though she had a rough time for the past few years, she still looked very cute and very much loved. :)

:hug::hug::hug:

Oh Dawn, I'm so sorry to hear about Lucy.

That is such a sweet story. I am so sorry to hear that Lucy passed away.

Aw I'm so sorry about Lucy, I know how hard that can be

Awww so sorry to hear about Lucy's passing. That must be really hard.

I love the pictures of you and Ray from the 90s with Lucy. You guys look like babies and of course Lucy's adorable :cutie:

Dawn, sorry to hear about Lucy.

What a sweet story! Sorry for your loss. I love the idea of the bush, they attract such wonderful visitors every year!

awww. RIP Lucy. Sweet little thing.

I am so sorry to hear about Lucy :grouphug:

so sorry Dawn..what a sweet dog!!!

:sad2::hug:

Dawn,

Imagine this...

I'm reading of the story of Lucy and Rascal Flatts, Here Comes Goodbye is playing in the background. Result: :sad1:

Dogs love us so unconditionally.....Obviously you have memories of Lucy that are mixed with some memories of the development of your relationship with Ray...

:grouphug::hug:

 So sorry about Lucy! Great story and you are right, she was adorable!
Dogs are important members of the family and my thoughts are with you and yours!

thank you all SO MUCH for your kind words and hugs (some of which i deleted so i could have only 25 images in this post!). i really appreciate it. like i said before, i knew it was coming. i got upset when i first heard and then i was okay after that. i guess i had already accepted it really. when we went over to ray's mom's house to plant the butterfly bush on monday she said, "you just don't know how much i miss her." :sad1: i'm so sad she's gone but she was a good dog and had a good life. we will miss her!

jordan - believe it or not, i don't know that song. i know, i know - i'm from nashville and therefore should know every country song by heart. but despite my heritage i never have embraced the whole country music thing. anyway, i'm sure it's a great song if it made you boo hoo! and you're right - i do connect memories of lucy with our relationship in those early years. good memories. :goodvibes

this is one of my favorite quotes and i just thought it would be appropriate to share here.

My goal in life is to be as good of a person as my dog already thinks I am. ~Author Unknown

so as you all know, we went over to ray's mom's house to plant a butterfly bush over lucy's grave. i forgot my camera so i took this with ray's iphone. she's actually buried under the upsidedown table (so zolo won't dig) but obviously we can't plant the bush right on top of her. it's small now but these bushes get huge and very pretty. something to remember her by. :goodvibes

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/Picture029-1.jpg

this was on ray's iphone when i uploaded pics. he took this on memorial day (when i was in NYC he went to his mom's house for the holiday) so it's probably the most recent picture we have of her.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/Picture033-2.jpg

thanks again for your hugs and kind words about lucy.

and i'm sure some of you remember back in october when i find mr. zolo and ray's mom ended up keeping him. he's still a crazy little doggie! look how cute he is!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/Picture012-2.jpg

and here he is doing his usual - jumping on me!

so since you guys have gotten to know luke-man through this TR (and i know he has many fans) i thought i would share some pictures from his birthday this past weekend. he turned 5 on june 10th but his actual party was this past saturday.

the theme of the party was "outdoor adventure" because luke loves camping and being outside. anna, chris and luke actually camped the whole weekend in unicoi state park. i believe one of chris's co-workers went with them with his wife and two girls because they're in all of anna's pics.

i thought this one was cute. it was taken the night before and i'm guessing they were watching a movie on the computer in the tent. luke is wearing his bat costume that he wears so often.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02382.jpg

this is the pavilion they reserved for the party....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02395.jpg

the birthday boy! do you notice the redness/puffiness in his right eye? he poked his eye with something (anna has no idea what) on thursday and it looked really bad on friday. but by saturday it was getting better. he's all boy!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02410.jpg

at one end of the table they had sandwiches from subway and chips, snacks and drinks and on the other end they had crafts for the kids. it was really cute!

ray and i decided to bring sherman and eli and the kids loved it! when we pulled up anna said, "here's the entertainment!"

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02421.jpg

the first thing they did when they got out of the car was poop. figures. this is ray handing me a napkin full of sherman's gift for luke. :rotfl:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02422.jpg

after we ate the kids played a game anna had put together called "luke's clues." apparently it was like blues clues and the kids had to go find the clues and write something down on a little pad of paper. i have no idea really. i've never watched blues clues! and ray and i had taken the dogs down to the lake when they did this.

from left to right: luke, evelyn (our friends jen and john's DD who is also luke's neighbor and "girlfriend" and is also my tinker bell buddy), abigail (chris's co-worker's DD), lex (jen and john's DS who LOVES peter pan and always talks to me about the movie), alex (our friend amanda's DD who is just ADORABLE!), kolby and kaleb (our friend melanie's DSs who are soooo shy!)

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02438.jpg

these are the clues they had to find. that picture of luke is GREAT!

luke had icing on his nose. :rotfl:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02472.jpg

after that everyone went down to the lake for some swimming. ray and i actually took the dogs on a short hike around the water because dogs aren't allowed on the beach. it was fun though. mostly shaded and a pretty walk! and the boys got in the water which they really enjoyed! they smelled like fish when they got home!

the birthday boy enjoying a swim......

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02543.jpg

i thought this was so funny. apparently there were some fish on the other side of that wall and chris is the biggest kid of all, pretty much laying down on the wall to see! :rotfl2:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02562.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02594.jpg

Oh, and the vitamins - sounds wierd, but put them in a cup of apple cider vinegar - if they dissolve in 20-30 minutes, you are absorbing them just right. If it's shorther than 20, they are dissolving too fast and end up in your urine, longer than 30, they are coming out the other end. They say porta-potty workers don't believe in vitamins because they see so many of them - gross! Sorry for the TMI. Just that alot of people spend way to much $$ on vitamins that aren't even working for them.

Thinking about it... you make everything sound fun, Dawn!! When I read this last chapter, I was thinking to myself, "Hmmm, camping would be fun! And sausages for breakfast!! Yay!"

Then I realised.... actually, I don't like camping or sausages!! You just make it sound so fun!! :lmao:

Looked like alot of fun, and very cool.

I like how she had decorated the pavillion with the lanterns and little torches.

Cute idea to have the kids go on a hunt.....for the cake!

The water looked so clear and sandy.

Luke seemed to enjoy it all, I'm sure he will remember this bday for sure. :goodvibes

Not me I'm an inside girl!:lmao: Earlier in the week we took Amelia to the park to play in that hour I got like 15 bug bites! I told him we could go camping if he could get rid of the bugs, and have running water!

hey, guys! i have a question for you all about prenatals. i'm taking neevo right now and they're great. i haven't had any side effects that i can tell. so i called my doctor and she called in the prescription and when i called the pharmacy to see how much they were, they were $54 for a month's supply. they're a "tier 3" medicine on my insurance which means the co-pay is $65. of course they just charge you the full $54 instead of the co-pay. the whole reason i got on ray's insurance (besides maternity coverage) was to take advantage of the co-pays. the tier 1 co-pay is $15 and the tier 2 is $45. i called my doctor to see if they could recommend another kind of prenatal that was cheaper and she wants to look at the list of medications my insurance covers, so while i'm waiting on that list to be mailed to me she gave me 2 more boxes of samples of neevo. anyway, so my question is does anyone have another kind they can recommend to me?

Okay Dawn I just got all caught up. I just took the Target brand prenatals with both girls. I think it was like $10 for 200 or something like that. I will also comment on those August babies (Brooklynn's birthday is August 16th) It was definitely hot and slightly uncomfortable, but so totally worth it! I was actually more impatient with Isabella in April then I was with Brooklynn. Congrats on the new vehicle as well. Happy belated birthday to Luke! So sorry to hear about Lucy. She was adorable and the story of how she came to be a part of the family was precious. I of course loved your update with the Jungle Parade as that is one of our favorites and the pics Anna took at WL are gorgeous. I think that is all I had to catch up on. Hope to see you Saturday evening!

by the way, i went to the doc today for my yearly exam and she started me on prenatal vitamins.

I was going to tell you that my first and second pregnancy I took prescription prenatal's but with my third I did over the counter ones. Just show them to your doctor. As long as the percents of what your getting are the same, you're good.

we got some sad news a couple of hours ago. lucy, ray's mom's beagle, passed away today. she was 14 years old and has been in bad health for awhile now. we knew it was coming but it doesn't make it any less sad.

so i thought i'd remember her here just to sort of help myself with the situation.

the story of lucy is really cute. ray and i had been dating almost a year in november 1994. we worked at a restaurant in downtown nashville and on the weekends instead of driving all the way back to our hometown (about a 30-40 minute drive) we'd stay at my dad's house because he lived pretty close to downtown. i would sleep with my sister and ray would stay in what used to be my bedroom.

ray has always suffered from occasional insomnia so one night he was sitting up and everyone in the house was asleep. at the time my sister was 11 and my brother 8 so all my parents had in the house were disney movies and other kid-friendly stuff. so ray put in "the fox and the hound" to pass the time while he couldn't sleep. he had never seen it before.

the next day was a sunday and we had to be at work for the lunch shift. on the way ray wanted to stop and buy a sunday paper. i asked why as this was unusual for him and he said he wanted to look at the classifieds because he wanted to get a HOOOOOOOOOOOUNNNNNNNND dog!

:sad1:

That's a great story. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Happy Belated Birthday Luke! That camping party looked awesome, great idea Anna!

Dawn guess what my dates for next year are? November 25th through Dec 7th. Do you think we might be actually able to meet in REAL life?!

Since she may be in transit, I'll answer for her.
She said she was going to try, but she has to see Margot whenever Brett has her, so that takes priority, of course.
I hope it works out that she'll be able to spend lots of time with Margot and make it to the Hippo Meet! :)

looked like a very fun birthday party:goodvibes
thanks for sharing:thumbsup2

you're welcome! it was a great party.

thats my kind of roughing it with a computer:lmao:

Too cute of the dogs sleeping! And a sundae bar is a great idea...i need to remember that in 3 mos...not so much for Caleb as he won;t notice but his older cousins will  it!

i hear ya! and i agree! the sundae toppings bar was really great for the kids. they loved it.

What a great party! It looks like such a fun time!

it was a blast!

:flower3: I'm sorry to hear about Lucy. It's so hard to lose a pet.
Luke's party looked like a lot of fun! Such a "dude" party. Out in the woods, doing manly camping things.

thanks. yeah, that was a total "luke" party....he had a great time!

Sorry about Lucy, but the butterfly bush is such a wonderful idea!

Luke's party looks like so much fun! I love the Luke's Clues idea!

Eli standing up and sleeping is too funny! :rotfl:

thanks. i thought the luke's clues was really cute too!

SO CUTE!

that pic of luke in the water...he is like a mirror image of his dad!

Looks like a fun party. Were you taking notes? Your turn will come sooner than later! lol! Great update :O)

i know! he looks just like chris but he acts just like anna.

These are just precious! They were worn out!

i know....they're so sweet! eli has done that before when he's been really tired. he's one crazy doggie!

Thank you for sharing about your dog.....we, too, will be losing our first dog soon (vet said 2 weeks to 2 months) and though we know, it won't make it any easier!

oh, i'm so sorry! i will be thinking of you over the next few weeks/months. :sad1:

I'm behind again. So sorry to hear about Lucy. :sad2: I remember the story about her when you got Zolo. The old pics of you guys are so cute:lovestruc

Luke's birthday looks so fun! That pic of Eli sleeping standing up is so funny:rotfl2:

Oh, and the vitamins - sounds wierd, but put them in a cup of apple cider vinegar - if they dissolve in 20-30 minutes, you are absorbing them just right. If it's shorther than 20, they are dissolving too fast and end up in your urine, longer than 30, they are coming out the other end. They say porta-potty workers don't believe in vitamins because they see so many of them - gross! Sorry for the TMI. Just that alot of people spend way to much $$ on vitamins that aren't even working for them.

oh, no apologies necessary since i'm SO behind on your TR! and this weekend away didn't help. i will try the apple cider vinegar trick - thanks!

Aww, Luke looks so grown up!! Looks like a very fun party!!

:lmao:

On a side note, I have a pink version of the Crocs you were wearing at Luke's party. They're great, aren't they!?

i know - he's getting so big! makes me feel old. you are so silly.....i'm glad i make everything sound fun though! and yes, i LOVE those crocs. i want to get them in black soon!

:goodvibes Thanks for sharing Luke's birthday party! Great photos! I heart the one with your babies sleeping in your backseat, Luke in his carseat!
Adorable pics!

thanks! we had a great time.

THAT WAS A FANTASTIC IDEA FOR A BDAY! :thumbsup2

:goodvibes

Awww, the pic of your pups asleep in the car is so adorable.

Are you going to have enough room for a carseat and your furbabies next year? :rotfl:

anna has always been really creative with her ideas. she always goes above and beyond. he did have a great time!

the furbabies won't be in the new car because i have leather seats and their nails would wreak havoc. but i did buy one of those pads that you put OVER the seat that connects to it in case i ever need to take one of them to the vet and ray's not here to use his car. but yes, we'll have room for them with a car seat. we have a pretty big back area in both cars so i'm sure they will be happy laying back there on a sleeping bag!

Aw...the party looked great. Looks like a party Dave would plan for Amelia. He can't wait until she gets older so he can take her camping. Not me I'm an inside girl!:lmao: Earlier in the week we took Amelia to the park to play in that hour I got like 15 bug bites! I told him we could go camping if he could get rid of the bugs, and have running water!

Love the pics of the boys sleeping!

i like camping for about 24 hours then i'm done. i like having a toilet and a shower and running water to brush my teeth with!

Hope to see you Saturday evening!

yeah, i got some at the vitamin shoppe that were $21 for a two-month supply so that was much better! i've been taking them for several days now and they've been fine. :thumbsup2

me and erica were talking about the baby thing at dinner the other night. you know, it's really just as wide as it is long. if you have a baby in the fall, winter or spring then you're just gonna have a little space heater clinging to you in the summertime anyway. so i don't think it really matters!

i will tell luke you said happy birthday! glad you enjoyed the parade.

LOVE the birthday update!! such a cool kid...LOVED the Luke's clues idea....
BUT..those darn dogs steal the show for me..it seriously looks like they are smiling in the "family pic" with you and Ray...TOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!! and eli sleeping!!! :) love it!!!

thanks! yeah, anna rocks when it comes to coming up with creative ideas for parties. glad you love my babies' pictures. they are so sweet!!!

Luke is such a doll thanks for sharing his birthday!

So sorry about Lucy it is never easy to lose a beloved member of your family.
I somehow missed that Ray's Mom had taken Zolo I'm happy to hear that, I seriously considered emailing you about taking him, but knew getting a dog just wasn't a good idea at the time.

Eli sleeping standing up is just precious, I'm so in love with him right now :lovestruc

you're welcome! yeah, ray's mom ended up keeping zolo which i'm happy about because we get to see him a good bit. he's such a sweet boy! he's crazy though. he jumps up HIGH when he wants your attention and ray's mom said he attacked the meter man the other day so now they have to get a "beware of dog" sign.

Aw, that picture of Eli sleeping standing up is sooooo cute!!!!

Evelyn looks just like my cousin Jessica when she was little to a scary degree!

What a fun idea for a birthday party. It looks like everyone had a great time!

yeah, he's a cutie! we had a great time at the party. it was hot but there was lots of shade so it wasn't too bad.

What a great idea for a birthday party! The Lukes Clues game was really cool, especially that thumbs up picture

Your dogs are so freakin adorable! My dog falls asleep standing up sometimes too but thats just because shes dumb and wont lay down LOL

i thought the luke's clues was cute, too! eli only does the standing up while sleeping thing when he's REALLY tired. it's so funny!

It looks like Luke had an awesome birthday! Luke's Clue's - what a great idea! :thumbsup2 And don't worry - you and Ray will know ALL about Blue's Clue's soon enough ;) Maddie started watching it around 18 months old and still will watch it if she finds it on TV - it's a cute show though, so I don't mind.

yeah, i know we'll be quoting kids stuff pretty soon! i remember when luke was a baby he LOVED baby einsteins and whenever i babysat him we'd watch it. i knew that one almost by heart!

Have a great weekend Dawn! We'll still be here when you come back!:goodvibes

thanks!

I was going to tell you that my first and second pregnancy I took prescription prenatal's but with my third I did over the counter ones. Just show them to your doctor. As long as the percents of what your getting are the same, you're good.

That's a great story. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Happy Belated Birthday Luke! That camping party looked awesome, great idea Anna!

Dawn guess what my dates for next year are? November 25th through Dec 7th. Do you think we might be actually able to meet in REAL life?!

yeah, i got some at the vitamin shoppe that were way cheaper and so far they're fine. i talked to my doc's nurse and she said that was fine with her.

thanks about lucy. i will tell luke you said happy birthday!

:yay: i'm so excited about your dates!!!!!!! that's so awesome. we will be there i'm guessing the first sunday of december through the next saturday so i'm sure that will overlap there somewhere. i actually want to drive down on friday and spend the night near sea world friday and saturday and go there on saturday, then check in at VWL on sunday. we will have to at least meet up somewhere if we can!!!!! :goodvibes

hey, everyone! i'm home and trying to catch up on life. i promise i'm going to continue writing the actual TR soon. i have lots of video to upload for the next installment so that may take a few days.

i thought i'd share some pics from my trip to nashville this weekend. i've decided to call this trip, "invasion of the babies," as i met THREE new babies for the first time (well, i'd met margot before but you guys know what i mean) and it seems like all my pictures are of babies! maybe it's a sign. :lmao:

i got to nashville friday night around 8:00 and went to my grandparents' house for awhile before going to my mom's and hitting the hay. saturday i met my dad and brother for lunch, then we met jordan near her house so brett could go with her to her brother and sister's baseball game (she's the oldest and has 5 brothers and sisters, the two youngest being between 6 and 10 and so they play rec league sports). i saw margot for about 10 minutes at that point and took a couple of pictures but i don't like them because the sun was in her eyes and she's squinting up her pretty little face.

while they were at the game dad and i went to see "year one" which was really dumb. save your money and rent it when it comes out on DVD. i wanted to see "up" but dad didn't. would've been a better way to spend 2 hours of my life! :rolleyes1 after the movie dad went home to clean up and i did a little shopping on my own, then i headed to opry mills around 5:30 to do some more shopping before the hippo meet!

i headed over to rainforest cafe around 6:15 and i saw jill and brooklynn first. i came up behind brooklynn and said something to her and i think she sort of recognized me. next i saw little bella with memom. bella was soooooooo precious!!!! i got to hold her then and she's such a good baby! she just looked around at everything.

i also met maroo, lauren and all7ofus while we were there. it was so nice to meet you ladies!!!! i hope i see you around the disboards often in the future!

of course erica was there too! and then a few minutes later we met tinkgurl and her family. she was so sweet and cute - just like i imagined! her dad was soooooo nice and took like 2 dozen pictures for us with everyone's camera. he was so sweet!

from left to right: tinkgurl, jill (brooklynnsmommy), brooklynn, memom (not hidden!), bella, erica (vandyfan10), me, all7ofus, maroo and lauren.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02765.jpg

i think brooklynn was begging jill for something here - not sure what!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02766.jpg

yep, there's that creepy hippo!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02767.jpg

brooklynn was throwing in a penny here.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02769.jpg

after that we said our goodbyes to everyone and me, erica, memom, jill, brooklynn and bella headed to the disney store. brooklynn was doing some sort of strut that was so cute with her hands on her hips and she turned around right when i took the picture!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02770.jpg

disney store, here i come!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02772.jpg

check out sweet little bella....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02773.jpg

we saw tinkgurl and her family at the disney store and talked some more. then we "officially" said goodbye to them and headed towards the carousel. brett called me at some point during all that and wanted me to meet him outside because i had an extra shirt of his in my car and he had gotten all gross outside at the park. so i said goodbye to memom, jill, brooklynn and bella and went to meet him. erica was meeting us for dinner but had a return to make herself at the crocs store so she went to go do that.

i had made reservations for our party at macaroni grill for 8:00 and it was around 7:15 at that point. brett, jordan, margot and madi (jordan's 5yo DD) had been outside in the heat all day and so we all went into barnes & noble to sit down and relax until it was time to eat. i got lots of pics of margot there! she's changed so much and she's just PRECIOUS!!!!! she's got brett's eyes and shape (she's LONG!) and she has jordan's nose.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02774.jpg

oh, and just so not everyone asks me, brett and jordan are spending time together with margot. whether or not they are thinking of pursuing a relationship again, i don't know. i don't ask those questions because i feel like if i can't say anything nice, i shouldn't say anything at all.

erica came back right as we got called to our table so it was perfect timing! margot fell asleep not long after we sat down. look at her little head!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02791.jpg

i have to say i was really impressed with how margot would fall asleep. she doesn't fuss hardly at all, just sort of closes her eyes and drifts off. she did it twice while i was with them.

dinner was great and it was so nice to sit and talk with erica and enjoy the entertainment that is my family.

margot woke up at some point during dinner and i snapped this of her and brett. he's such a dork!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02792.jpg

after dinner i said goodbye to erica and we all went bowling.

margot's first time at the bowling alley! check out the painted toenails. jordan said she was sick of people saying, "how old is HE?"

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02794.jpg

this is madi, jordan's 5yo DD. she's SUCH a sweet girl and so cute and she LOVES my brother. she and margot had on matching outfits.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02795.jpg

someone had a stinky diaper and daddy got to change it. it was so funny - he was gagging! :rotfl2:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02798.jpg

madi would always run up the side of the lane when we bowled. it was so funny! oh, and check out her socks. none of us were wearing socks and we had to buy them from the bowling alley. they were all adult sizes and madi's were a tad bit too big! :rotfl:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02801.jpg

i took a video of madi bowling. watch dad run up on the side like she does.

after bowling it was around midnight so it was time to say goodbye to margot and head back to my mom's house. i'm so glad i got to see her for a little while on saturday night! she's sooooooooo precious and i'm looking forward to watching her grow up. :goodvibes

on sunday after breakfast with my grandparents and mom, i went to my friend melanie's mom's house to hang out by her mom's pool. it was SO HOT this weekend! this is her 8yo DD megan. she had on her mom's shoes and was being silly.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02804.jpg

this is her 2yo DS maddox. his uncle was treating him like a rag doll!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02805.jpg

we were trying to get maddox to raise himself up with a stomach crunch. before i started filming he was doing it and grunting really hard and it was hilarious! but then when i started filming of course he stopped.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/th_MOV02806.jpg (http://s285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/?action=view&current=MOV02806.flv)

so that was pretty much my weekend in nashville in a nutshell. i can't wait to see margot again! i was so excited to get to spend some time with her. thanks for any pixie dust you guys sent my way on that! :grouphug:

ETA: i totally forgot to tell you guys what happened saturday night. after bowling i took brett home. he lives in downtown nashville and instead of going down broadway with all the cruisers we were going down side streets with lots of stop signs. well, we're having a conversation and brett goes, "this guy is totally gonna pull you over." i was like, "what? i didn't even know there was a cop behind me! what did i do?" right about that time he flipped his lights on. so he comes up to my window and goes, "hi there. can i please see your license and registration?" i said, "i don't have a registration. this is a new car and i have temporary tags." duh. you'd think he would've noticed that. anyway, he said, "okay. well, do you have your paperwork?" i told him i did and he asked to see it. so i gave him all my paperwork that the dealer gave me and my license. he started to walk off and i said, "can you tell me what i did?" he goes, "yeah. you're supposed to stop at stop signs." knowing that it does one no good to argue with a police officer, all i allowed myself to say was, "i wasn't aware that i didn't." so he goes back to his car and returns after a few minutes to say, "well, ms. ____ (insert my last name here), you seem to have all your paperwork here and so i'm gonna let you go tonight. have a good evening." i was thankful that he let me go because i haven't gotten a ticket in almost 14 years but i really don't think i ran any stop signs. anyway, just had to share that.

** I guess it was Metro that pulled you over?? They can be weird sometimes. I had one pull me over for 41 in a 35 (which I could have sworn was a 40 anyway) and took my info and let me go. I've never been so mad, usually I'm nervous thinking of getting a ticket.

Great pictures from your weekend! Love all the babies! You and I are at the same place in life as far as babies are concerned. I've been getting lots of information lately. I'm sure you've been doing your own research, but I found a couple of good websites. I'll PM you if you're interested.
On a separate note, I love Nashville too. One of my best friends got her PhD from Vanderbilt, so I had the opportunity to visit her a few times. It's such a great city and so much different from Boston.

Brooklynn and Bella looked adorable.

I'm envious of your visit to the Disney Store, mine closes this week. :sad2:

Margot is sweet, she looks like a babydoll. She had a cute little outfit on.
It's so wonderful that your brother is getting to spend time with her. She sure is Daddy's little girl.

Just that alot of people spend way to much $$ on vitamins that aren't even working for them.

i just tried this and i don't think my test was very accurate because my pills are in a capsule and therefore they float. so the whole pill was not submerged. it's been almost an hour and it still hasn't completely absorbed but i think it's because of the capsule. plus my apple cider vinegar was really old because i never use it. don't know if that matters or not!

Dawn so glad you got to see Margot. She is a doll and it looks like you guys all had a great time together so glad Jordan was nice to Brett on Father's Day weekend. It was really good to see you again and yes Brooklynn did remember you. When you and Erica headed out from the Disney Store Brooklynn started chasing after you which caused me to have to chase after her pushing the double stroller through the crowded mall. I was quite a sight MeMom said. Brooklynn has looked at the Hippo meet picture several times and can name everyone in it. She has a mind like a steel trap. Hope all those babies rubbed a little pixie dust on you so that you can soon be typing with one hand while feeding with another!

Margot is so big. Was it awkward having Jordan at the dinner table?

I'm glad you had a great Nashville trip. My cousin and I can't wait to go back. We have talked about it everyday since we have left.

so we'd had our break back the condo and anna, chris and luke had seen WL. it was time for MICKEY'S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!!!!! :yay::santa:

ray and i left the condo about 5:15 and arrived at MK around 5:30. they had the christmas decorations at the gates!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09499.jpg

we parked and headed over to MK via the monorail. we got into the park around 6:00. as we entered the turnstyles and i got our tickets out, i realized i had anna, chris and luke's tickets for the party with me!!!! :scared1: i called chris and he said they were still at the WL and he'd call me when they got there so i could meet them at the gates to give them the tickets.

once we got into the park, my only goal for the next few minutes was to find a spot to watch the castle lighting show since we hadn't seen it the night before. ray videoed as we entered the park.....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/th_MOV02853.jpg (http://s285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/?action=view&current=MOV02853.flv)

here are some pictures i took as we walked into MK for the party.

they had CMs standing on main street directing non-partygoers to the lefthand side of the road to make the traffic flow easier. this guy posed for me.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09507.jpg

we found a great spot right behind the partners statue on the hub to see the show. :thumbsup2

meanwhile, back at the WL.......chris and anna made their way towards the boat dock to take the boat to MK.....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/December142008DisneyDay4AnimalKingd.jpg

i had made my way back up to the front of the park after we found our spot (and ray stayed there to save it) in order to give them their tickets. around 6:15 i was starting to panic because the castle lighting show was supposed to start at 6:30 and i did NOT want to miss it. there was an older male CM standing nearby and i guess he saw the worry in my eyes because he asked me what was going on. i told him and he said that i could leave their tickets at the ticket booth and he let me out of the park in order to go over there and do that. well, when i got over there the CM there wouldn't do it. she said it was against policy. i told her the other guy said they would and she said he didn't know what he was talking about.

so i thanked her for nothing and headed back to be let back into the gates by the guy who didn't know what he was talking about. he then told me i was still fine on time because they usually start around 6:35. i called chris at that point and he said they were getting off the boat. i told him where i was standing and a few seconds later i saw chris and luke sprinting up to me. i handed them their tickets over the gates and then i fast-walked back under the train station and down main street and was back before 6:30. :thumbsup2 i was wearing my mickey santa ears and it was quite warm that night. so after my semi-run back to the hub with that hat on, i was a little warm!

here are some pictures anna took as they entered the park that night.....

right at 6:35 the show started. it was so cute! mickey, minnie, donald and goofy come out and start talking about how the castle isn't decorated for christmas. so then the fairy godmother hears them arguing about it and she comes out to yell at them a little bit () and she says it should be up to cinderella how to decorate the castle since it's her home. cindy comes out with prince charming and says she'd love to see it sparkle like her glass slippers sparkle. so the fairy godmother says the magic words and it happens! :wizard:

of course ray filmed it and i've uploaded the entire video for you.

you can hear me talking about the show starting at 6:35 in this one and then i ask ray if my hair looks completely crappy because it was STUCK to my head after i wogged back to the hub with that hat on! :rotfl2: then listen for ray to go, "oh, man, you gotta be kidding me," because some guy put a little girl on his shoulders and blocked his view just as the show started. luckily we moved pretty easily so he could see the stage.

here comes cinderella! you can hear a mom nearby say, "there she is" and her little girl got so excited. it was sweet! princess:

here it goes!!!!!!!

the pictures and video really don't do it justice. it's just GORGEOUS in real life! i highly recommend anyone that can manage it to see it for yourself one day.

one of my favorite moments of the entire trip was when the show was over and ray leaned down to me and said, "i hope you liked that" and gave me a smooch. we are not affectionate in public at all (we both despise PDAs!) but it was so sweet!!!

here are a couple of pictures anna took after the show of the castle.

i just tried this and i don't think my test was very accurate because my pills are in a capsule and therefore they float. so the whole pill was not submerged. it's been almost an hour and it still hasn't completely absorbed but i think it's because of the capsule. plus my apple cider vinegar was really old because i never use it. don't know if that matters or not!

Hmmm the capsule should dissolve if it will dissolve in your stomach. Maybe that's the point. The acid in the vinegar is almost the same as stomach acid. You can check if your vinegar is still active by dropping a little baking soda in it - you remember the volcano from grade school? Maybe it is old:confused3

All caught up - all the babies are so cute!:lovestruc I'm glad you got to spend time with Miss Margot - she is really precious! You will have a hard time not buying out the Disney store for her - I know I do with Miss Londynn.

Nice MVMCP pics so far! You did a great job with the castle light up! Your Ray is so sweet - you have a keeper:love:

Wow, so pretty!! You're still really, really making me want to go to Disney at Christmas!!! :santa:

Were the crowds crazy!? I think I could put up with it though, for the prettiness of the Christmas lights and decorations!! :cloud9:
