Your pictures bring tears to my eyes. I love how beautiful the castle looks in those lights. I hope they keep that decor around a few more years because I think it will be 2011 before I get a chance to be there in person.

The castle is beautiful all lit up, and the show is very cute. It mesmerizes little girls and boys and brings chills to grown-ups. The whole thing is very well done and makes December trips so special. It's nice that you have the video so that you can have that few moments in time over again and again.

Fantastic Update!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I share your DH's frustration over the children on shoulders thing. It is so rude. We had that happen to us recently at the Disneyland fireworks. We had a perfect view then a man puts his child on his shoulders. When we hold our children up we hold them at our waist. It just isn't fair to hold your children higher than the crowd when there are hundreds of people behind you.

I can't wait to see the castle lighting in person. It looks just amazing.

Looking forward to your next update of MVMCP!

Ooh! I looks so pretty!! I can't wait to see it. I am looking forward to the rest of what you thought of MVMCP. I can't decide if we should go or not. So many people have said it was elbow to elbow people and they wouldn't do it again. I am eager to see if you thought it was worth it.

it's a sad day. we've lost an amazing entertainer in michael jackson and someone that i worshipped for 10 years of my life. i still listen to his greatest hits in my car all the time, with "off the wall" and "thriller" being my favorite eras.

he also holds a special place in my heart because my little brother (brett) LOVED him as a kid. he used to scream, "MICHAEL JACKSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!" whenever he was on TV and it was so cute. i don't know if you have ever seen the movie "moonwalker" that was released in the early 90's i believe. i can't tell you how many times we watched this movie in my house. i knew every word and so did brooke and brett, especially brett. i think our copy of the VHS tape ended up breaking! ironically, brett and MJ share a birthday, august 29th. only brett was born 28 years later.

so in his honor, i'm posting the following links in case you feel like watching them. they're just several videos that i really enjoyed with i looked up "michael jackson" on youtube.

a collection of MJ stuff from moonwalker - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f7cxG5FJSM

smooth criminal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WjOn5TNjBM

don't stop til you get enough - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pvc9XBTfu6g

motown 25 performance (he was totally lipsyncing here but i was too young to notice!) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VASYhabHkM

just wanted to share something about him to remember him by.

i know i remember many things about him as a kid.

i remember dancing in my mom's living room to "don't stop til you get enough."

i remember being in the car with my mom on the way to school in the morning and "wanna be starting something" would come on the radio EVERY morning!

i remember peeking through my fingers at the "thriller" video every time it came on. i hated the part where he turned into a werewolf!

i remember watching THAT performance at the motown awards show that is now so famous.

i remember learning the words in choir to "man in the mirror" in middle school and thinking they were the best lyrics i'd ever heard.

and i remember getting SO excited as a young 20-something-year-old when the band alien ant farm remade "smooth criminal," one of my FAVORITE MJ songs ever! i used to crank up my radio and jam out to that song all the time!

i know that in the latter part of his career he did some very odd things and obviously there was something going on that didn't make any sense with his mental capacities near the end and also he may have even done some criminal things, but i can't forget what an incredible performer he was. :sad1:

I LOVED him as a kid. I remember dancing to Thriller over and over and over again. From the 15 times I've seen that video just tonight I find myself doing that dance in my head seeing it so many times. :upsidedow

It's really weird b/c not caring about him for so long, today brings back so many memories of how much I really enjoyed watching him. :sad2:

I hope all of his friends and family can find some peace, and to add to that along with him....Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett.

And here at home we had a Metro officer that got shot on the job. He is in critical condition and hopefully will be ok.

I say a little prayer for him and for all of these celeb's and their families....it's been a strange day for sure

Like Erica said..Amen sister!!! I was very saddened by this when I saw the news as we were leaving for Hollie's VBS parents night. As we got in the car to leave, I had tears in my eyes!! I had to make Chad get my mind off of it by saying something totally goofy! I have sat here for 2 hours watching news reports and watching a special on CBS about him. RIP Michael and Farrah!

It is sad about MJ, Dawn. I feel like his life was so crazy from the age of 7 that he couldn't ever turn out "normal." I feel really bad for his family.

Okay, when I was in middle school, he was 12 like me, and the song was "ABC, 123" (I'm actually not sure of the title, just the words.)

Loved "Man in the Mirror" and of course "Thriller" was fun, but I was already a mom, so I didn't learn the dance - it looks like lots of fun on 13 Going on 30. Wasn't Michael responsible for the "We are the World" CD, too?

First of all, your castle lighting photos are gorgeous! I hope I get to see them one day.

Your Michael Jackson post was really nice. I was in 6th grade when Thriller came out and it was the first pop album I owned. There are lots of fun memories there. It's strange to know that a big part of my childhood is gone. He was a tragic figure with a great talent. RIP.

I love the castle lights! I was also around the Plaza when it was lit. It was beautiful to see, but it was hard to hear anything. Next time I want to be close enough to hear everything.

I too loved MJ when I was a kid. We listened to him all the way on a 10 hour trip to FL on a vacation with my grandparents one year. I am sure they enjoyed that.:rotfl:

Those castle pics really make me want to take a Christmas trip!

The whole story of Michael Jackson was just sad. I spent an hour last night on the phone with my 2 best friends remembering our childhood. Discussing how we had the Thriller ALBUM...and We Are The World on '45. He's one of those artists that when you hear a song on the radio you just have to sing along. I just hope that his family can keep his children as far from all the craziness as possible!

Hi there! We just got back from our trip and I have had some catching up to do myself. I just finished reading all of your updates, so here some thoughts (sorry so random).

First of all, SO sorry about Lucy. It looks like she was such a sweet dog. Our dogs are very much a part of our family so I can understand how hard that must have been.

Luke's birthday looks like so much fun. He looks like a happy little boy in all of those pics.

The castle lighting is amazing! How lucky for you to see it in person. Thank you for taking the time to post the video.

Last, we were on our trip in Orlando when MJ died. It was very surreal and everyone was talking about it everywhere we went at WDW. People were all very sad, and I think it was nice that people were remembering him for his positives and not the negatives.

I started your TR yesterday, and have read all of your updates (I will admit, I skipped over most of the replies). I have laughed and cried with you over your last six months. I am so glad that things are working out for your brother, and I am even more happy that your next trip is going to be here before you know it!

We are going Dec. 23-Jan 3 & I am so glad I was able to see all of the decorations, etc. I know exactly what I need to add to my itinerary!

Thanks Dawn!

Stupid real life. ;)

Don't worry about us. You know how slow I am at getting updates up, anyway. You can be gone a while and not miss much.

However, I am working faster right now trying to finish up the March trip in the next three weeks so that we can concentrate on the new trip. I need to finish it up in the next week and then devote some time to my grad course and try to get that behind me, too.

Have a fun Fourth of July weekend!

wow.....i'm way behind on the responses!!! sorry. i'm having wisdom tooth issues now just when i thought life was going back to normal! i'm scheduled to have them taken out next friday but two days ago the upper right one started hurting and it's just gotten worse. today i woke up and my cheek is swollen. so i called my dentist and his office said it sounded like it was infected. the problem is he's out of town on vacation so he couldn't call in an antibiotic for me. after calling several people to try to help me (including erica - thank you!!!!!), his office got in touch with him and he called me in a prescription. i just took it so hopefully by tomorrow morning i'll start to feel better.

Hmmm the capsule should dissolve if it will dissolve in your stomach. Maybe that's the point. The acid in the vinegar is almost the same as stomach acid. You can check if your vinegar is still active by dropping a little baking soda in it - you remember the volcano from grade school? Maybe it is old:confused3

i got some new vinegar and some a new prenatal because the other one was not helping in the potty department. :rolleyes1 this new one dissolved right at 20 minutes. :thumbsup2

All caught up - all the babies are so cute!:lovestruc I'm glad you got to spend time with Miss Margot - she is really precious! You will have a hard time not buying out the Disney store for her - I know I do with Miss Londynn.

Nice MVMCP pics so far! You did a great job with the castle light up! Your Ray is so sweet - you have a keeper:love:

oh, i've already spoiled her rotten! i agree about my keeper. :lovestruc

Just gorgeous! I saw it a couple of nights later....:goodvibes Christmas is the best time. I just LOVE it! Your pictures are fabulous!

thanks! it really is such a great time to go.

Crazy ladies dancing....:banana::banana::banana:

Can't wait

sorry you've had to wait so long for the crazy ladies!

Thank goodness Anna, Chris, and Luke got there in time so you could see the show!

The pictures and video from the Castle Lighting show are wonderful! I got goosebumps watching the castle "turn on." :goodvibes

i know....i was worried they'd miss it! and you can see why i didn't want them to. it's beautiful!

I love the castle pictures! It looks so pretty! One day I hope to be there around Christmas time! Hmm....maybe our next trip could be at Christmas time. But, that is still several years away!

thanks! i hope you get to go one day at christmas. it really so pretty!

Wow, so pretty!! You're still really, really making me want to go to Disney at Christmas!!! :santa:

Were the crowds crazy!? I think I could put up with it though, for the prettiness of the Christmas lights and decorations!! :cloud9:

i hope you get to go at christmas time someday. you'd LOVE it! no, the crowds weren't too, too bad. more than i saw in september or april/may but nothing unmanageable. the worse crowds we saw were at DHS on friday. but i think that was just a fluke thing. i think the first/second week of december is probably the best time.

Such a great song! One radio station was playing the original while i was driving to work this morning and I couldn't help but get a little choked up :guilty:

i love that song, both versions!

Its very understandable!! I feel the same way, I can't get caught up fast enough!

real life stinks sometimes!

No worries Dawn - keeping up on TR's is like a full time job - LOL!

seriously!!!! especially when you're writing 3.

After a week of being back, I'm finally feeling caught up with things! Phew!

It was really great to meet you too, and I'm sure we'll see more of each other around the boards :) Maybe someday our paths will even cross on a trip?

Love your castle shots- sorta makes me "homesick".

Liesa

oh, hi!!!! i'm so glad you came by! it was so nice to meet you too. we're not going back until december 2010 so keep that in mind! we're taking some time off disney to start a family.

I am getting married on Michael Jackson's Birthday!!! August 29!!! How funny. I didn't even realize it until I read your post!!!!

The Castle Lighting Show is adorable. I love Cinderella.

cool! that's also my brother's birthday! i hope your wedding is everything you dream it will be!

It's o.k. Dawn. I feel the same way!! Just when I get caught up, I fall SO far behind once again.

glad you guys understand!

People were all very sad, and I think it was nice that people were remembering him for his positives and not the negatives.

thanks about lucy! she was such a sweet girl. you're welcome about the video. i knew a lot of you would enjoy it so no problem! oh, being on vacation when that happened was really odd, i bet!

Thanks Dawn!

oh, no worries about the replies. i don't read all those either on other people's reports! just don't have the time. you are so sweet....thanks for your kind words! i bet you guys will have a blast in december!!!! the new years fireworks are just awesome! i saw them on a live webcast last year but i'm sure it's nothing like being there.

Have a fun Fourth of July weekend!

are you kidding me? you are TR speed writing queen! :rotfl: i can't believe you guys are leaving in three weeks. LUCKIES! ;) you guys have a good weekend too! i just hope i can eat by tomorrow with this stupid tooth!

Don't you hate it when real life gets in the way of Disney?

;)

YES!!!! the nerve of real life!!!!!! :rotfl:

first i wanted to share a picture of the AWESOME throw i got during this trip as i promised you guys i would ages ago. i LOVE it - it's soooooo soft! i keep it in my guest room so the dogs won't lay on it and when i need it i just run in there and get it, then put it up when i'm done.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC02878.jpg

on with the trip!

there will be no updates with anna, chris and luke here because she didn't have any pictures for this time period. i'm sure they were shopping or something.

after the castle lighting show ray and i were starving since we hadn't eaten anything since breakfast that morning, so we headed to cosmic ray's for dinner. we both got burgers and grabbed a table outside because it was so nice out that night.

here's my burger. i think ray had gone in to put toppings on his when i took this and i didn't remember to get a pic of his when he came back.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09537.jpg

while we were eating the party "officially" started. :santa: goofy and pluto walked right past our table and into cosmic ray's to start their dance party. so much fun! i snapped these when we went inside to throw our trash away.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09538.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09541.jpg

as we were walking away i texted chris to tell him that goofy and pluto were at cosmic ray's doing a dance party and he responded by saying, "so are we." so we must have just missed them!

as we headed towards the teacups i saw the queen of hearts. i was really happy to see her because when erica and i went to MNSSHP back in september she was the only villian i didn't get to meet at the villians mix and mingle show.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09543.jpg

we made our way deeper into fantasyland and saw donald at the christmas tree lot.....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09544.jpg

i have to share this video. the beginning is of the queen of hearts and me meeting her. but the second half is donald. listen to the song playing in the background. it's "the 12 days of christmas," the disney version. donald's line is "four calling birds" and EVERY time that part plays he nods his head and waves his hands like he's singing it. it was SO FUNNY!!!!! me and ray were cracking up at him.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/th_MOV02879.jpg (http://s285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/?action=view&current=MOV02879.flv)

after cracking up at donald, we made our way over to the dance party near ariel's grotto. this was anastasia, drizella and lady tremaine's dance party and i definitely wanted to check it out since the stepsisters are two of my favorite characters. i'm glad i did! they were hysterical!

right after we walked up they started dancing with two guys to "staying alive."

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09547.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09548.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09550.jpg

here's the video.....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/th_MOV02880.jpg (http://s285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/?action=view&current=MOV02880.flv)

you'll see at the end they start doing the hokey pokey. well, i coudn't resist....i had to join them! i ended up doing the hokey pokey RIGHT NEXT to lady tremaine.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09554.jpg

she was so stoic.....she'd barely move when she put "whatever" in and put "whatever" out. it was funny.

here's the video. you will see me just to the left of lady tremaine. i don't know how she never cracks a smile!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/th_MOV02881.jpg (http://s285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/?action=view&current=MOV02881.flv)

after that the DJ started playing, "i like to move it, move it," which the crowd loved! the stepsisters have some sweet moves!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09555.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/DSC09558.jpg

this video is great! ray was just standing there filming and lady tremaine starts walking towards him and these two men try to start dancing with her. she turns around and goes, "EXCUSE ME!!!!!" it's hilarious!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/th_MOV02882.jpg (http://s285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/?action=view&current=MOV02882.flv)

the dance party with them was really fun!

sorry no replies but i have some good news! i just had to share this because a lot of you guys ask me how brett's situation is going. well, brett, his lawyer, jordan and her lawyer finally met yesterday and they came to a settlement! :yay: basically right now brett gets margot from sometime in the morning (i can't remember the time. 10:00 maybe?) until 8:00pm on both saturday and sunday every weekend. when she turns 1, he gets her from 5:00pm on friday to 5:00pm on sunday every other weekend and 1 day every week. he has joint legal custody which means he has input on all decisions concerning her, except that jordan made him promise not to cut her hair which i thought was pretty funny. his name is now on the birth certificate and her last name will now be hyphenated with jordan's last name first then brett's last name. i think that's a lot for a kid to take in but whatever. it was important for brett to have our family name as part of her name and i can understand that jordan wouldn't want to give hers up either. they also worked out a child support figure which they both thought was fair.

jordan had to work today so audrey (my stepmom/brett's mom) is keeping her all day today and tomorrow. it's the first time brett and/or audrey have been able to spend time with her without jordan there. they are having a great time spending time with her and she's already sent me like 6 pictures on my phone! here are a few of my favorites:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/noname.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/sunglasses.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/laughing.jpg

isn't she just precious???? my sister bought her those sunglasses. :cool2:

i'm so glad that they were able to work something out and avoid court. it always makes it easier on everyone if you don't have to go before a judge. i do it everyday with my job but i know it's very scary to put these big decisions in someone else's hands.

thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts for him. you have no idea how much i appreciate you guys!!!!! :grouphug:

again, not an update (sorry) but two videos i saw today that i just had to share here.

first, i just loved john mayer's performance at the michael jackson tribute today. i thought it was haunting.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvrtuAmHHnI

i don't know how many of you saw MJ's daughter, paris, make a couple of comments but it was probably one of the saddest things i've ever seen. we've got it on CNN right now because we missed the tribute today and they keep showing it. ray is now putting a pillow in front of his face because he says he can't take it any more. i thought it was so awesome how the pallbearers (his brothers) all wore rhinestone gloves on one hand.

second, i don't know if you guys have seen this but it's a video a family took a few days ago while they were riding in the front of the monorail with the CM that got killed in the accident on july 5th. his name is austin wuennenburg and he was only 21 years old. so sad. he seems like a really nice kid. my prayers are with his family and friends.

the dance party was a blast! i hope you get to come to one someday.

That's great that everything got worked out and Brett will get to see his beautiful daughter! Did he ever find out why Jordan did what she did?

she claims she told her mom to call us when she went into labor and that her mom didn't. i do believe her mom would do that (she's a loon) but i don't believe for a second that jordan told her to call us. if she did, the first thing out of her mouth at the hospital that night would've been, "i'm so sorry we didn't call you. it was just a miscommunication," but she said nothing about it.

Dawn, so happy to hear that things worked out well between Jordan and Brett with Margot. She's such a precious little girl and I'm happy to hear they figured something out without going to court. Good job to both of them for being adults.

Oh Dawn.. he seems so sweet (the driver) Our driver last year in the front was not this personable. My heart aches even more now.. thanks for sharing the link! Disney lost a gem!

i know! i hope i didn't upset you but i thought everybody would like to see it.

what a sweet video and article--thoughts and prayers for his family and friends:hug:

such a sad event.

Dawn, i am a sometimes poster but mostly lurker. I am enjoying the trip report.:thumbsup2 Great news about your brother, and good luck to him and his baby. :)So sad about MJ. :guilty:Also the video of the monorail driver that was killed, made me cry. So so sad. :sad2:

thanks for de-lurking! i think i've seen you on other TRs before here and there. i'm sorry i made you cry! i just felt the need to share it though because he seemed like such a nice kid.

So glad to hear your brother was able to work it out. It sounds like a very fair agreement! I'm so happy for all of you!

thanks so much!

Dawn, we were the same way when it showed Paris! It just broke our hearts! I of course, started crying and then Chad got teary eyed. Hollie looked at us and asked us why we were crying and why was that little girl crying. I told Hollie that she was crying for her daddy because he wasn't here anymore. Hollie looked at us and said, "Aww, I wish I could hug her!"

John Mayer's performance was really good! That is one of my favorite songs by MJ!!

I saw that video the family took on the monorail!! All I could think of was that if there was a family up front it would have been more deaths! That was just awful and I feel so bad for that young mans family!

I watched some of the national coverage of the MJ memorial on ABC last night, it seemed like a very touching, heartfelt gathering at the Staples Center. I did cry while watching, esp when Paris spoke. Just heartbreaking.
I could not watch the video of the monorail driver, I have a 23yo son who lost a dear friend and coworker last year in a car accident. I cannot imagine the pain the family is going through.
I am very thankful for all of my blessings, but mostly for the health and happiness of my family and friends. I see so much pain and heartbreak in my career, I try to focus on positive things as much as possible in my life.

so sweet about hollie!!!! :goodvibes i love john mayer anyway and i just thought what he did was so classy. no singing....just him and his guitar and michael's music. i bet they won't let people ride up front any more in the monorail. scary to think there could've been a family up there. so sad about losing such a young life!

i didn't watch the whole tribute (i was at work) but what i saw on CNN was really touching. just so you know, the video is just of a family that rode in the front with him recently. it shows him as a nice, friendly CM who let the little boy sit in the driver's chair. i just didn't want you to think it was anything about the accident - i would never post a video of something like that. i agree about being thankful. when something like this happens it just reminds us how lucky we all are to have the people who care about us in our lives.

well, i was hoping to get some 4th of july pictures up and/or an update done before tomorrow but anna hasn't sent me her pics yet. and considering i'm about 30 minutes away from taking a valium that my oral surgeon prescribed and exactly 12 hours away from having 4 wisdom teeth removed, i don't see that happening tonight!

i'm kinda nervous about my surgery tomorrow so say a little prayer for me just to be brave. i have another valium to take in the morning before my appointment and then i will be completely sedated with an IV during the surgery. only 1 of my teeth is impacted so the other 3 are just being pulled. hopefully it won't be too bad. i will peep in and say hi as soon as i'm coherent again, probably sometime on saturday!

thanks again for all your well wishes. i'm doing good. still swollen, mostly on the left side of my face. the pain medicine is making me drowsy so i've been laying around a lot, which actually drives me nuts! so far all i've eaten is a milkshake and some tomato soup yesterday and then today i had some oatmeal, pancakes and mashed potatoes. i'm really wanting some solid food but i don't see that happening for a few days!

the valium helped to relax me but i still remember everything up until he put the IV in. that's the part i was dreading most because i'm a big wuss when it comes to needles. it hurt but i was okay. i don't remember much after that until his nurse was walking me to the car with ray waiting there and he was laughing at me because i had a huge ice pack thing around my head. that ice pack has been awesome though because you just put those frozen ice packs in and velcro it on around your head.

i was going to wait for anna to send me the 4th of july pics she took before i did this update but i haven't gotten them yet so i'm going ahead with the ones i took. before i get to those, i wanted to share some i took the past couple of weeks that i thought were cute.

first, some of my butterfly garden. i love these lilies!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02829.jpg

then here's eli....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02848.jpg

now on to the 4th of july. first off earlier that day i made a new friend. this little guy was crawling on the house near the garage and i thought he was so pretty!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02889.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02890.jpg

i put him in our crepe myrtle tree next to the driveway so he could enjoy the fireworks later.

our neighbor cooked out hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone later that day. so nice of him! some of the kids were blowing bubbles and their little dog, katie, loved chasing them. it was so funny!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02898.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02902.jpg

when it got dark everyone headed over to our house to sit in the driveway and along our sidewalk to watch the fireworks show. the neighbors across the street always spend about $3,000 on fireworks so we never have to go anywhere but our front yard - it's really nice!

waiting for the fireworks to start.....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02924.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02922.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02928.jpg

luke figured out how to bust the glow jewelry and thought it was so cool that it would glow on his skin too!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02938.jpg

i took lots of fireworks pictures but i'll only share the really cool ones here.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC02989.jpg

the fireworks were SO good! at one point i said something like, "wishes...." and then ray, who was standing several feet behind me filming it on his iphone said, "look, it's the blue fairy!" :lmao:

after the fireworks it was time for the sparklers!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC03022.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC03042.jpg

then several of the parents had bought some smaller fireworks and they lit them at the end of our driveway. here's chris lighting one up for luke....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC03046.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC03005.jpg

i thought these were so cute because it shows the sillouttes of luke and chris and another neighbor kid, riley, watching them.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC03053.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC03057.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC03067.jpg

in this one another kid, drew, has joined in, as well as riley's little sister, maddyx. maddyx was kind of scared to be so close so riley has her in his lap. it was so sweet!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/DSC03074.jpg

after that the kids went back to playing with the glow jewelry and they all had figured out how to break them at that point because they were smearing it all over themselves! :rotfl:

here's drew, riley and maddyx.....

also, we watching something on the news about sparklers a few days before the 4th there were fireman talking about them and saying how you tell your kids to stay away from ovens that are 400 degrees, but you give your kids sparklers to run around with in the yard.

they said that sparklers burn at 1,800 degrees:scared1:

Glad to hear you're doing better. Hang in there. My sister got married this past weekend, and the weekend before her fiance broke a tooth and have to have oral surgery. They said the pain would be worse in 4 days....which put the max-pain day at Rehearsal day. But he was okay and fortunately didn't have chipmunk cheeks for the pictures.

I was like FauntleroyFAN07 when I had mine out -- no problems and never had to take any pain meds. The doctor couldn't believe it. But everybody's different.

just to update you guys, i'm feeling much better as far as my mouth goes. i was getting better as the week went until yesterday. the stitch in the top left side was coming out (like it's supposed to do) and it was driving me crazy. so i got a pair of manicure scissors and cut it so it would just come the rest of the way out. but silly me pulled the stitch the wrong way and the knot went way up into the hole where my tooth was. so i had a long stitch hanging out the roof of my mouth gagging me. i didn't know what to do but cut that and as a result i had a very short, sharp stitch sticking out of the roof of my mouth. it hurt so bad i was in tears. so i called my dentist and they said to come on in so he could get it out. once i got there, his assistant tried to get it but she couldn't, so he had to do it and when he finally a good grip on it he told me to take a deep breath and when he started pulling it through i thought i was gonna jump out of that chair....OUCH!!!!!!! :scared1: but i was so happy when he got it out. it hurt for a couple seconds but then i was good. after that i felt i deserved a drink so i went and had a margarita! :lmao:

i started using the syringe today to flush out the holes because food gets back in there and i love doing it because it makes my mouth feel so clean. about another week and i should be back to normal, i think. :thumbsup2

Looks like much fun. You are lucky to have neighbors to give you guys your own personal show, and your pictures of the 'works are great!

Your flowers and landscaping are pretty.

Hope each day finds you feeling better and better. :)

we always thank them so much every year for putting on such a great show. they are a little wild and crazy but very nice.

loved the 4th of july pictures. our neighbor used to put on a big show too but he moved so no more. too funny that luke was putting the glow stuff on his body, typical little boy

hope you're feeling better. my wisdom teeth were all impacted and one had a cyst on it too. definitely not a fun thing! keep using the ice, i swear i kept icing my face for like a week. it really helps! :thumbsup2

thanks! yeah, the kids had loads of fun with the glow stuff. i'm feeling much better now....thanks!

glad your getting better from your teeth, i never really hurt from mine, i ate chicken for dinner the night i had it done.

also, we watching something on the news about sparklers a few days before the 4th there were fireman talking about them and saying how you tell your kids to stay away from ovens that are 400 degrees, but you give your kids sparklers to run around with in the yard.

they said that sparklers burn at 1,800 degrees:scared1:

i know that it is fire burning, but never thought it burnt that hot.

anyways, good update.
:goodvibes

i'm glad you could eat chicken but i certainly couldn't!!! i'm just now getting to where i'm comfortable eating normal food (like just now as in today). i just felt weird with 4 big holes in my head....like i'd get stuff stuck back there or something. but now that i'm using the syringe it's not so bad.

sparklers scared me as a kid but i always held them anyway!

what a fun 4th of July--its so cool that you get to watch a show from your own lawn!!:yay:
glad to hear all went well with your mouth--my daughter would have love the ice/head/holder thingy:lmao:

i know....we love that we don't have to leave! i hope they never stop doing it as long as we live here. the ice thing that went around my head was awesome! i'm definitely keeping it! :rotfl:

Looks like you had a great 4th Dawn!

it was a great time!

Glad you are getting better! I've had oral surgery before and it is no fun! At least it if overwith now!

Great update! Very cool of your neighbor!

i was SO glad when it was over! half the battle is just getting up the nerve to do it for me.

But everybody's different.

oh, no! i'm glad he was okay. i remember how stressful the rehearsal day was (WAY worse than the wedding day!) and i would've been so miserable with having to deal with pain too.

Tell Ray it looks like light from heaven is shining down on his Mac...you know with the angelic voices aaaaahhhhhh!

Mac lovers will understand.

:lmao: i showed this to ray and he just smiled and nodded.

Dawn, Margot is soooo cute. :cutie: The last picture is my favorite.

i love that one!

meanwhile, back in fantasyland.....

after the dance party ray and i decided to head over to meet belle and the beast. this was on my MUST-DO list for the night for two reasons: one, in all my trips to disney i still hadn't met the beast and, two, i had to meet belle in her christmas dress!

on the way we passed pinnochio's village haus and there was a sign for free cookies and hot chocolate. ray went in to get some but i didn't at that point. i was still full from the burgers at cosmic ray's and i knew they had these cookies and cocoa stops all over the park. when ray came out he was RAVING about how good the hot cocoa was. he just kept going on and on about it. i was like, "good grief....it can't be THAT good. it's just hot chocolate!" but he said it was the best he'd ever had.

we got in line for belle and the beast and i snapped this on the way......

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/01-25.jpg

the line wasn't too terrible. probably about 20 minutes. when we were about 10 people back, belle and the beast went away and out came snow white and prince charming. since i HAD to meet belle i decided to let people go in front of me for awhile. ray decided during this time he was gonna walk around the park to see what else was going on. he did this during the pirate and princess party, too. he kills me. he acts like i'm a freak for loving disney so much and then we get there and he can't sit still for 5 minutes because he's too excited to see everything! he said he got 2 things of pez candies somewhere and ate ALL of them while he was walking around. i would've been sick!

gina - this is the part i was telling you made me think of you!!! while i was in line i started talking to a girl and her mother. the girl was probably about 21 or 22 years old. she eventually told me she was a CM. i asked if she was in the college program and she said yes. i said, "oh, really? where do you work?" she said, "i'm in entertainment." at that point i got all excited and i said, "oh, my gosh.....are you a character?" she just nodded and smiled. i said, "if i guess who you are, can you tell me?" she said sure. she was about my height, maybe an inch or two shorter and very cute. so i said, "are you alice?" she said no. my next guess was wendy. she said no again and then said, "i'm not a face character." so i said, "oh, so does that mean you wear a costume?" and she said yes. so i said, "are you piglet?" and she nodded. I MET PIGLET!!!!! :yay: i'm such a nerd....i was soooooo excited! she actually said that she had played eeyore and minnie mouse at different times, too. she said she's what they called "mouse height" and could play piglet, eeyore, mickey, minnie and stitch.

we talked for awhile and i asked her if she ever lost her patience with pushy parents. she said that was the hardest part and told me a couple of stories. but she said she LOVED her job and she was leaving in january and was going to miss it SO MUCH. she said she'd made some really good friends and just loved it there. i told her i'm sure she did, that looking back i wish i would've known about it when i was in school! she was a really sweet girl and it was really neat talking to her and her mom!

finally belle and the beast came back out and so i got back in line again (i actually ended up in front of my new CM friend!). ray had gotten back about 5 minutes before that so he was there to meet belle and the beast too. i don't really like these pictures because ray looks like i'm forcing him to be in them. i swear it was completely voluntary on his part! :rotfl2: it looks like i'm pulling him by the arm and belle isn't even touching him because she's like, "this guy hates me and i'm scared to get too close."

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/02-24.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/03-25.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/04-25.jpg

i had go crop them out to get myself with the beast! he was sooooooooo cool!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/05-25.jpg

i thought this graphic was appropriate. doesn't ray look like his dreams are coming true here????? :lmao:

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/06-25.jpg

after that we decided to head back towards main street to do a little shopping. again, we really weren't looking to ride anything on this night. i just wanted to soak in the atmosphere of the party. plus i had yet to pick out the jim shore piece for this trip. i collect them and get one for every trip and i specifically wanted a christmas piece this time.

we passed by goofy and pluto headed into cosmic ray's on the way. i guess they trade up with chip and dale. we had no idea that anna and company were still in there getting their groove on!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/06a-1.jpg

a couple pictures of the castle as we headed towards main street......

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/06b-1.jpg

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/06c-1.jpg

we stopped on main street to get some photopass pictures. i don't really like these that much either. this is the only one that's halfway decent. ray looks drunk in the rest of them.

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/07-25.jpg

after pondering over the jim shore pieces in the art store i decided on this donald christmas one. i love it.....he's getting mad while stringing the christmas lights!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/Picture002-5.jpg

as i was going through my pictures i realized i took pictures of some of the stuff i had bought the day before at the emporium.

here's margot's onesie and rattle i gave brett for christmas.....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/Picture079.jpg

my calendar for this year.....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/Picture088-2.jpg

and this is on the front of my car....or at least it was. the new one didn't have a place to put it so i have to buy one of those frames to put it in......

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/Picture093.jpg

i also bought the mickey santa hat ears that i had on at the party with all of the above. that's the first time i bought my blanket for $15. the second one we bought for ray's mom for watching sherman and eli and we got it when we bought all our christmas ornaments later at the party (which i will show you later).

it was a little after 8:00 at that point. we decided to get across main street and head towards adventureland before the 8:15 parade made it's way around and blocked us (it started in frontierland and we were planning on seeing the later parade). as we were leaving the store my phone buzzed in my pocket and i pulled it out and looked down to read THE text................

Did you ever try the hot chocolate? Was it as good as Ray said it was?

Belle's Christmas dress is just gorgeous!!! I love it! You are cracking me up with saying Ray looks like he is being forced to be in the pictures -- I don't think so at all -- he looks like he is having fun!

Did you ever try the hot chocolate? Was it as good as Ray said it was?

yes, i tried it. you'll have to wait and see what my opinion was! ;)

Belle's Christmas dress is just gorgeous!!! I love it! You are cracking me up with saying Ray looks like he is being forced to be in the pictures -- I don't think so at all -- he looks like he is having fun!

i guess because i know him i know he looks like he's being forced to be in the picture. but he does that all the time. i have a picture of him at WL next to the totem pole and he's standing there like an 8-year-old boy whose mom made him take the picture.

I'm so jealous you got to meet a real life Piglet (I'm like 5'5", I wonder what height I would be considered?) and Beauty and the Beast all within the same hour, thats so awesome. Cool about meeting the CM. I know someone who is very close friends with Chip and Dale and a few others. ;) Her sister is also in entertainment at EPCOT and DHS. Anyway, she said the parades are torturous, especially in the summer. I guess it can get up to 140 degrees and there is nothing you can do about it.
Your pictures are definitely making me want to go to the party in December!

Just getting caught up after being gone, so I was a little behind. First of all, OMG on your neighbors fireworks! That looks like a big time production.

Luke dancing pics are so cute. He was really going for it!

We went to CP for the character breakfast and the Piglet was so sweet w/ my son. He was a little scared and Piglet immediately pulled back and played Peek-a-boo. Dylan loved it! I wonder if it was her. I remember saying that the characters are all very sweet with little children.

First of all Happy Birthday!!! Margot is soo cute...she's one of those babies you just want to grab hold and give her big ol kisses all over her face. I have to stop looking at her picture...it makes me want another baby! :scared1: We're done with 2....we're done with 2....okay I'll keep telling myself that. OH but I love that baby smell!!

I do have to share....We just booked our 1st Christmas trip for this Dec...some of your pics helped sell it to DH!!! Thanks!...(and the free dining code we got helps too!) Now I am trying to decide if we should buy the tickets to the party or not.. Your pictures make me want to but my kids do not stay up late...on normal nights at home they go to be btwn 7 and 8 so I am not sure how they would do. Just more I have to try and decide! Not to hijack your thread but do they light up the castle like that everynight in Dec or just at the party??

You'll have to tell us if you liked the new HP movie or not....I'm wanting to go but doubt my DH will do so would have to find some friends to go instead!

I'm all caught up!! :woohoo: I can't tell you how much I love reading your TRs! They're great! The pics and the videos... :thumbsup2 Luke is so cute, and I've enjoyed "watching" his reactions too. I'm sorry you all (and especially Brett) had to go through all of that with Margot, but I'm SO glad it's better now! :goodvibes One of my best friends is in a huge child custody battle, and they're no fun. I'll pray that things always stay this smooth for them! I'm excited to read about the rest of your trip! And let me say...you're awesome for being able to keep up with writing/co-writing 3 TRs at the same time! :thumbsup2

I am glad your mouth is better. I have not had my wisdom teeth pulled so I don't know what that is like. I am sure it is painful.

I didn't know that you could meet Belle in her Christmas dress. My daughter would love that. I think next time we go at Christmas time we will have to go to the Christmas party.

thank you all SO MUCH for your birthday wishes! sorry i've been MIA. i'm soooooo behind on a lot of TRs so if i'm reading yours i promise i will catch up when i can!

I love the update. I hope Belle and the Beast are out when I go to MVMCP. Her Christmas dress is really pretty. I love the pictures of Luke dancing with Chip and Dale. He looks like he having so much fun. :santa:

thanks! i'm sure they will be. last year they were in fantasyland to the left of IASW

Great update! Luke was cute dancing! I think that is the same Belle we met, although I would have to compare pictures. You are right it does look like Ray is being forced to have his picture taken! Ben is the same way! I think Stitch was the only character I could get him to have his picture with. How cool that you got to meet Piglet! Awesome!

thanks! it's so funny when ray does that because i really don't make him get in those pictures!

*ahem* HOW RUDE!!!!

leaving us in a cliff hanger like that...Don't leave us hanging too long this time, ok? I will be watching TODAY for an update.

That's right. TODAY. :surfweb:

Ok ok I know...wishful thinking. :rotfl:

um......hope you didn't hold your breath for that update! :rolleyes1:rotfl:

First off Margot is such a cutie - what great pictures!!!!

Second - that sounds not fun with your stiches - so glad you were able to get into the dentist.

3rd - Thanks so much for your advice about dinner and the Halloween party - I redid my intineary and I think it's much better - check it out when you have time :)

4th - What a cliffhanger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly stand it!

Most important:

:cheer2:Happy Birthday!!!!:cheer2:

thanks! yeah, the stitches weren't fun for sure! hope your itinerary works out. i'm sure you'll make more changes before you leave....i always do!

Hmmmmm :scratchin........
I'm ready for another visit :upsidedow! That could be a way to get you to TN!!

Hope you have a great time. Never have seen any of the HP movies....and dont' really care either :confused3. Maybe I'm missing out :3dglasses

i'll be up soon enough. probably in late august/early september i would guess. the HP movies are really good even if you haven't read the books. the special effects are amazing and the stories are just good. definitely worth your time if you're the least bit interested.

Margot is getting so big! She is a real cutie!:lovestruc

Did you ask Ray why he didn't bring you some hot chocolate if it was that wonderful?;)

Is there a pistol in Ray's back during the Bell & Beast picture?:rotfl2:

thanks...i agree! ;) oh, ray was wanting me to taste his but i was so full from cosmic ray's i didn't want any! i knew i could get some later anyway. you know, there may just be someone holding a gun to his back that you can't see! :lmao:

Happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you!

First of all, Margot is PRECIOUS! She gets cuter and cuter the older she gets :cutie:

Great update! Ahh I can't wait to do the xmas party this year! Luke's so funny dancing, flailing his head and body all around, makin his hair go crazy.

I'm so jealous you got to meet a real life Piglet (I'm like 5'5", I wonder what height I would be considered?) and Beauty and the Beast all within the same hour, thats so awesome. Your PP pictures came out good but you think the photographer would have told Belle to stand a little closer to Ray or something.

Love the Jim Shore piece you got too, that's adorableeee. Thanks for leaving us with such a cliff hanger too Dawn! :headache:

thanks! she's so sweet. i'm sure belle had to stand next to her fair share of men who weren't thrilled with getting their picture made with a princess. :rotfl2: i love all the jim shore pieces....they are all so cute!

Happy Birthday!:rockband::dancer:party::bday::tiptoe::Ma y you have a Magical Day!

thank you!

Hey Dawn - I was just looking at the links in your siggy for your Vandy girl trip report and I noticed your 9/07 girl's trip - so I checked out the dates - we were there at the same time! We went 9/20 - 9/26 of 2007. Small world!

cool! we stayed at OKW with tara, who was a new DVC member and had to use her points then. we were only there for 3 nights but it was a fun trip!

Sounds like you had your wisdom teeth pulled...

As far as your TR... you're leaving us hanging...nice cliffhanger....

Hope you continue getting better.....:)

yep! that, i did. not fun.

i'm not one to usually do cliffhangers but it was absolutely necessary in this case.

Great update. I love all the dancing - people just letting loose and having some Disney holiday fun!

I haven't seen Belle in her Christmas gown. Maybe in December. :)

Christmas Donald is cute, even when he's mad.

Margot's pictures are so sweet. She's a lucky little girl to have an Aunt Dawn to buy her Disney cutesies. :cutie: I look forward to the day you take her to meet Mickey and friends!

i know....those pictures of the dance party are just so fun! i loved the christmas donald piece i got.....it's so cute! yeah, i hope to take margot one day. brett said that audrey (his mom/my stepmom) is wanting to take a bunch of us in a couple of years and pay for everyone's park tickets. we'll see!

I hope you had a great birthday!
Your pictures are definitely making me want to go to the party in December!

thanks! oh, i bet those parades are AWFUL! i remember when erica and i saw the block party bash in september last year those guys looked like they were dying and they didn't even have costumes on!

I'm all caught up!! :woohoo: I can't tell you how much I love reading your TRs! They're great! The pics and the videos... :thumbsup2 Luke is so cute, and I've enjoyed "watching" his reactions too. when i last left you hanging (literally), i had just gotten a text as ray and i were making our way from main street towards adventureland before the christmas parade. i looked down at my phone to see a text from chris saying this........

hey, luke fell in cosmic ray’s and busted his nose and lip. we are out front now and the EMTs have already come and gone.

OH, MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!

i got on the phone and called chris to see what was going on. i can't remember who i talked to -- chris or anna -- but they told me what happened.

they said that luke was dancing (as you saw in the previous chapter) and he was spinning around, lost his footing and fell straight on his face on the floor. blood immediately started gushing. anna ran to grab some napkins and chris said she tackled some lady in the process. they said within seconds there were CMs all around them, forming a circle so that people couldn't see luke. i'm sure those of you who have had kids get hurt know how everyone staring at you doesn't help things. they also said that 2 or 3 "manager-like" people were there within a couple minutes and they were wonderful to them. EMTs showed up in about 3 minutes and they kept apologizing to anna because they took so long. she was like, "are you kidding me????? you got here so quick!"

the EMTs checked luke out and he didn't have a broken nose but they told them he would be bruised and swollen for a few days. they also asked anna what he'd been doing earlier in the day and when she told them that this was the last of 4 FULL disney days they told her that he may want to go to sleep soon and not to freak out, that he was fine and him getting sleepy was probably to be expected.

anna said the manager-like CMs were wonderful. she said they were great with luke and they offered to give them tickets to come to another christmas party if they wanted. anna asked luke if he wanted to stay or leave and he said he wanted to stay. so they decided to stick it out and declined the offer of more tickets. we were leaving the next day anyway. they also gave luke a mickey doll and gave all three of them vouchers for new shirts since they had blood on theirs. anna and luke used theirs but chris just kept the one he had since he had a shirt to go over it. and then they also gave them priority seating for the later christmas parade. anna told them they had 2 more people in their party and asked if we could join them too and they said we could.

this is the first time i've ever had something like this happen at disney. i've heard of how great things are ran there when emergency issues come up but now i know firsthand how true that is. it's amazing how smoothly anna says everything went when this happened. not that falling down and busting your nose and lip is the end of the world, but i'm sure we all know that when it happens to a 4-year-old it can seem that way! anna and chris were so impressed with how everything was handled and i was happy it didn't ruin their night completely.

anna did say that after everything was all said and done and luke was calmed down that she just looked and chris and lost it. it's so hard to watch your little guy get hurt.....especially at disney world!

so i know you wanna see pictures of poor little luke-man and they're coming up. i asked anna's permission to post these and she was fine with it. it's not TOO bad....just a busted lip and swollen nose.

poor little dude!!!!!! :guilty:

anna had big plans for them all to get a family shot in front of the castle that night to use on their christmas card. she had even matched their clothing with blues and greys. but it was not to be now since she and luke had to change shirts AND his nose was so swollen. anna was very upset about the night not turning out the way she thought it would. but she just pushed the disappointment aside and kept going, like we all do!

they pretty much just let luke choose what he wanted to do for the rest of the night, which wasn't much. they went to see pooh and tigger......

back to me and ray.........

we had agreed to meet anna, chris and luke for the fireworks later that night, but first we were heading towards adventureland before the first parade started. we stopped to get some castle pics on the way. i really wanted these to turn out good but i'm not sure about them. my hair was glued to my head because of the mickey santa ears i had on! :rotfl:

as we were heading towards adventureland i remembered that i wanted to go by the christmas store on liberty square to get some of those half-priced ornaments so we went there instead. the christmas parade was actually going by while we were in there, so we got to hear some of the music. but we had primo seats for the second showing so no worries!

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/Picture090.jpg

we also got a second castle blanket here for ray's mom for watching the dogs for us. :goodvibes

the fireworks were starting at 9:30 and it was around 9:00 at this point, so we decided to head towards the hub to get a spot for the show. i wanted good fireworks pictures with my new setting!

we got a great spot to the left side of the castle. i think it was the same spot i got last year for the pirate & princess party. i wanted to try some hot cocoa and cookies so ray saved our spot while i went back towards the diamond horseshoe (where they were giving it out) to get some for both of us.

on the way i ran into these guys.....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/19-26.jpg

i was so excited to see them! ray wasn't with me so i got a random girl to take that picture. you never see them out so it was cool to see them during the party. although i would've loved to see my favorite country bear, big al.

i got to the diamond horseshoe to get some of this.....

http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll79/punkin1803/december%20TR/20-25.jpg

woody and buzz were doing a meet and greet there but my hands were too full of hot cocoa and cookies to get a picture of them! and ray was right.....that hot chocolate was SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! oh, my goodness.....i think i drank like 4 cups of it that night. it was REALLY good!

i made my way back to the hub and took a picture of my wonderful hot cocoa and half-eaten cookie for you.....

that also reminds me.....i took a picture of the party guide and a napkin i kept from it, too......

I was watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta the other day and thought of you because in the beginning thing where they show them all standing together, they're all holding out peaches and you've never seen a peach tree! Haha.

I am not surprised by the Disney mgmt helping out and being so generous. It was part of our jobs to keep the magic going when i worked at DLR. It was deeply rewarding to be able to assist in both magic making and in helping those in need.

Poor Luke. He looks both tired and a bit sad.

It looks like the party was going well inspite of the accident!

Was it terribly cold that night?

Can't wait to see the fireworks pix!

Here's hoping I will at least be wearing a sweatshirt for the Christmas party on my party: BIRTHDAY party: this year!!!

I know Dawn said it was cool some, but the year before when Matt and I were there it was like 80+ during the day and not even cool enough when the sun went down to wear a pullover :confused3 Matt kept making fun of me b/c I had brought like 2-3 sweatshirts, and never got to wear them

So happy they chose to stay though, and that it didn't mess up the magic too much!

Reading the story made me think "oh, poor luke!" but seeing the picture of that poor swollen lip brought tears to this momma's eyes! :sad1: So nice to hear that the CM's were so attentive and generous! Can't wait for the fireworks and parade :woohoo:

Oh, poor Luke! That lip looks awful! Glad nothing was broken!

I liked the ornaments you got. Love, love, love the Dumbo one! So cute! I should have looked a little closer at the ornaments while we were there. Not that we need any....I already have enough for probably 3 or 4 trees!

Can't wait for fireworks pictures!

Aww, poor Luke!! I was thinking the other day that we still hadn't gotten to the bloody nose part of your TR title so I knew it had to be coming up soon! Glad to see he's alright though and that Disney did a good job of handling it all :thumbsup2

I'm so excited to get pictures with all the characters in their Christmas gear! And try some of that yummy, delicious hot chocolate too of course :goodvibes

The story about Luke brought instant tears to my eyes! And it made me want to give Anna a hug. I am not looking forward to my little guy's first major injury, so I can imagine how she was feeling through the whole thing.

You found some great ornaments! My favorite is the castle that lights up.

OK...I have been lurking on your thread longer than I care to admit...there, I've said it. It's actually kind of creepy when you think about it.

I've really enjoyed reading your report (Disney subjects and non-Disney subjects...the Killers rock, by the way). I've managed to do all of my reading without actually posting until now. Poor Luke, I am just heartbroken that he's the one who got the bloody nose, and such a bad one too! That's not to say that I would have enjoyed any of your other group getting one :lmao:...I was just really holding out hope that it wasn't the little man. Geez.

Well, I've broken my silence now. I love checking in on your report. :flower3:

All of your ornaments are just adorable. I am hoping to find some cute ones when I go. I love the Mickey heads.

OMG! Poor Luke! :guilty: That's great that people got there so quick to look at him. I know having an audience just would make things worse!

Hey, the step-sister in the green/bue whatever you want to call it..she's the one we met at 1900 PF I think! You'll see in my update way later.

I was watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta the other day and thought of you because in the beginning thing where they show them all standing together, they're all holding out peaches and you've never seen a peach tree! Haha.

cool that you met the same stepsister! they are always so hysterical. i know...luke was so pitiful. and if those chicks live in atlanta they got those peaches from the grocery store because there's not ANY peachtrees in atlanta!!!! :rotfl:

Aww, poor Luke!!!! You know, I have been dying to know got the bloody nose ever since I saw you guys at the Killer's concert!!!!! Now I know...and I feel awful!!!!! Poor little guy!

i know...he was so pitiful!

Oh my goodness! Poor little Luke! I can just imagine how horrible he must have felt!

Kudos to Disney for handling the entire situation so well! I am impressed -- as I always am by Disney!

I love all the ornaments you got -- especially the Alice one!

So, Ray wasn't kidding when he said it was the best hot chocolate ever! I wonder how they make it?

he was such a trooper. and yes, disney definitely impressed that night. i don't know what they put in that hot chocolate but it was SO good!

*gasp pant pant breaaaaaaaaaathe*

PHEW I can stop holding my breath now. LMAO

Great update, poor wee little Luke :O(
Sounds like it was handled well by all .

sorry bout that.....hope you didn't do any permanent damage holding your breath. ;) yes, luke was a strong dude that night.

Can't wait to see the fireworks pix!

it's so nice to know how attentive they are in situations where bad things happen at the happiest place on earth! no, it wasn't cold that night. that was actually the warmest day/night of the trip. it was the first night i didn't need a jacket and gloves! it was around 70 degrees, i think. it really warmed up that day.

Poor Luke:eek:and Anna:goodvibes
So glad to hear that the CNs were so helpful and kind!!

i know....i felt so bad for them! and the CMs were so AWESOME from what anna said!

I'M SO EXCITED!!!! :yay:
I know I've seen them before, but don't think I have access back to them.
Can't wait to see again!!! :upsidedow

Here's hoping I will at least be wearing a sweatshirt for the Christmas party on my party: BIRTHDAY party: this year!!!

I know Dawn said it was cool some, but the year before when Matt and I were there it was like 80+ during the day and not even cool enough when the sun went down to wear a pullover :confused3 Matt kept making fun of me b/c I had brought like 2-3 sweatshirts, and never got to wear them

plus i don't know that you've seen the video and i'll post that too....it will get you excited for your trip! :yay: winter weather in florida is so crazy. i hope it's not hot for you this year. but i also hope it's not as cold as it was for us at DHS....that was crazy!

So glad to hear how well Disney treated Luke when he fell but I am sorry he fell. He really did have a SWOLEN lip.:scared1:

What great ornaments you found. Were the 1/2 price just during the party or always 1/2 price?

The castle picture of you two is beautiful.:goodvibes

poor little guy! no, they were half price for a couple of days that were there and it was at all the parks/resorts/DTD. anything christmas-related was half off. great deals! :thumbsup2

Poor Luke. I am glad it wasn't more serious. I am really looking forward to your next update.

yeah, me too. it was bad but it could've been a lot worse!

Poor Luke - that had to hurt! Glad to hear Disney handled it so well - and good for them for pushing on! Those ornaments are all so cute - I love the set of Mickey heads - I may have to pick some up if they still have them.

it ended up okay but at the time it seemed really bad. and i'm so glad disney went above and beyond - it made the whole situation easier to deal with.

Only at Disney would they apologize and be so attentive to something that just happens sometimes! Poor Luke, but it was so nice of them to try to make some magic for them all!

i know! anna was saying how she kept thinking that she wasn't going to sue them or anything.....he fell....little boys do that!

I feel so bad about poor Luke's nose and mouth.:sad2: He really fell hard, and he was having so much fun! I'm glad you were all able to keep enjoying the night. Love the ornaments:thumbsup2

i felt so bad for him too! he looked so pitiful. i think he had fun but of course it did kind of damper the evening for him.

Only Disney would offer such amazing service like that!! I can't imagine anywhere else where EMT's can be there by your side in 5 minutes or less, except maybe at a ball game.

So happy they chose to stay though, and that it didn't mess up the magic too much!

Great party pix!!

it was amazing how great they were. it stunk that it happened but i think it was handled as well as it could've been and i think he still enjoyed what was left of the night.

Hi Dawn! I am enjoying your trip report! So nice to hear Luke still enjoyed the eveing after a horrible fall.

We had a change of plans and decided to go to disney this december for the holidays! I am enjoying looking forward to my trip by reading about yours. thanks again for sharing! :goodvibes

hey, lauren! cool that you'll get to go during the holidays....you'll love it! where are you staying? PM me with any questions. i'd love to help!

Poor Luke! He's a tough little guy though. I hope he was able to have a good time for the rest of the night, despite the accident.

he was a tough little guy that night for sure!

Poor Luke-Man! That is so sad. But he's a brave little guy for wanting to stay and finish the night. That's awesome that the CMs and Management handled it all so well though!! Disney really is one-of-a-kind! :goodvibes Those ornaments are adorable!!! So cute! :thumbsup2

i was impressed by how tough he was. disney made the situation so much better - it could've made the night a complete disaster but they helped so much to make it all work out okay.

Poor Luke. I'm glad he didn't break anything. I do not handle my children getting hurt very well, so I feel for Anna. It sounds like they all had some more fun after the accident. Your ornaments are pretty. We got an Alice one ourselves. I wish I had gotten more than I did because they were half price when we were there as well.

me too! well, i probably went a little crazy with the ornaments but i couldn't pass up half price!

Reading the story made me think "oh, poor luke!" but seeing the picture of that poor swollen lip brought tears to this momma's eyes! :sad1: So nice to hear that the CM's were so attentive and generous! Can't wait for the fireworks and parade :woohoo:

hey, everyone! sorry i've been so MIA lately. work has been CRAZY and it's just going to get worse because my boss is having a c-section on monday so i'm having to fill in for her for awhile (which i'm gladly doing so she can play full-time mommy and enjoy her new little one!). so please forgive me if i'm not on top of all things disboards-related for awhile.

in other news, ray and i are going to savannah/tybee island for five days in october. i can't wait! we got a great deal on a condo 2 blocks from the beach. i NEED some beach time, and i love it in the fall because it's not so hot. we even get to take the boys with us because the condo is pet friendly!

also, we made a MAJOR purchase yesterday. we got a new camera!!! :yay: we've been playing with idea of getting a really nice one because i love playing with photography and of course if we get pregnant we'll want a good one for baby pictures. so we decided to go ahead and do it because the nicer cameras are soooooooo detailed, i'll need all the time i can get to learn how to use it! so we went to best buy and got a great deal....a $650 sony digital SLR camera, a $250 75-300mm lens, a $69 extra battery and a $30 carrying case all for $750!!!! we couldn't pass that up!

here's the camera i got (picture from the internet site).....

we went out to a local park today so we could play with the camera a little bit. i am VERY new at all this and i'm just learning and i have a LONG ways to go, but i wanted to show you some of the shots i got which i love. ray was my model...although he didn't know it most of the time because the lens zooms in from FAR away and he had no idea!

I love the new camera....I would love to get a "nicer" one. Not in the budget yet. I thought the grasshopper picture turned out great. For just getting the camera I thought your pictures were really crisp and clear. Our Point and shoot is pretty good. I loved taking up close pictures of my DD's feet, hands, eyes and forhead. They turned out great so yours will be incredible. You'll have to practice on Margot.

update time! sorry it took me so long.

it's time for fireworks! as some of you may remember from waaaaaay back on our first day at epcot, i had discovered a new setting on my little point and shoot camera (i can say that now that i have a SLR :lmao:) that i was so excited to use with my tripod during the christmas party fireworks. :yay:

i took LOTS of pictures. these aren't even half of them. but i'm only showing you the ones that turned out the best.

by the way, anna, chris and luke didn't make it to meet us for the fireworks. i figured they were probably riding stuff and i didn't want to bug them since they were recovering from all the drama from earlier. they did see the fireworks but watched them from the bridge to liberty square.

i took a couple of test shots of the castle.....

of course i have video of the ENTIRE show! it was so great.....i couldn't let you guys miss it! ;)

during this first part ray was sitting on the ground and had to get up when the fireworks started. there was a lady standing next to me who i told when she came over that my husband would probably want to stand where she was standing when they started. i was very nice about it. she seemed okay with that and said she just wanted to lean against the railing for a few minutes. we even had a nice conversation about how great disney was at christmas. so when he got up when they started she kind of huffed and walked away. you hear me saying, "i feel bad for her," and then ray goes, "i'm sorry. i don't!" i did feel bad but i had warned her. oh, well! :confused3

i really loved these fireworks. honestly the best fireworks i've ever seen at disney are the pirate and princess fireworks, followed by the MNSSHP fireworks. but these were right behind those. i can't really say i have a LEAST favorite....i love them all!

up next.....celebrate the season show in front of the castle!

I just finished yout TR - it took me 4 DAYS. :lmao:

I don't know where to start! It had me hanging in there the entire 165 pages!! :goodvibes

I found it when I went looking for December TR since I'm going this December. I was really interested since you were staying off property and so am I (the "Mostly Merry part of my TR):sad1:.

I had a couple of questions...

- On your first day, did the Boardwalk have a problem with you parking there for so long?

- How was park hopping with a car?

- Was the traffic crazy to get to the parks? Home from the parks?

- Was if difficult making ADRs?

Onto the rest....

I'm glad your toe, arm and teeth are ok! :flower3:

I'm sorry to hear the problems your bro is going through and hope they work through it for thir daughter's sake. My bro will be 35 in September and he's still immature. Drives me bonkers!
He's only 20 months younger than me, but it's more like 10 or 15 years!

Your pictures are great, the trip as well as all the others. How do you get your video like that? It's cool!
The last batch of fireworks pics are awesome.

I'm going to try and get to your NYC trip report. I live about 10 miles outside the City in NJ. I should think about being a tourist in my own backyard. I usually go in for a specific thing/event and then get the heck out. I always get confused where I am going, so the subways are completely crazy! I figured out how to gt around all over England, Italy, Toronto & Montreal and other cities like Chicago and San Francisco and STILL can't figure out NYC subways. It's like I have a brain block or something.

I can't even remember any more details, but it sure was a trip reading your trip report! I cn't wait for the next update! :goodvibes

You'll have to practice on Margot.

thanks! we love it so far. we've taken SO many pictures this week of just...stuff!

Yea....I don't necessarily want to be walking around in my down jacket :rotfl:!

definitely not!

I may not watch the video....we'll see...sometimes I don't want to see (and hear) all the details. Might have to save it for the 'real' thing!!

i'm just the opposite.....watching it beforehand gets me EXCITED about it! :yay: it's just like seeing wicked in NYC. i got the soundtrack beforehand and i was so glad because i LOVED it and it made me excited for the show.

I'm with ya...it's been very pretty....but today was stinkin' HOT!!! I came back inside about 3-4 times. I can't stand feeling like I'm being burnt to a crisp :scared1:

i'm hoping it's pleasant when we go in october. i can't wait!

Yea, you will have to figure out the low lighting, christmas lights type setting. I'm sure it will take some awesome pictures of the castle :yay:.

well, i have 16 month to figure it out! :rotfl:

I got some great pics of the sunset today....I'm sure you'll see them soon :upsidedow[/quote

i saw them on your facebook page....can't remember if i commented yet but they were awesome!

[QUOTE=VandyFan10;33008054]Honestly I've got a camera that I have NO idea really what it can and WILL do

we're going to the mall sunday and i'm gonna go by barnes & noble to see if i can get a book on SRL cameras.

**Sorry I butted-in :rotfl:....I have GOT TO GET A TRIPOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't believe I haven't had one before :headache:...and to bad we can't see how well my castle/fireworks pics would have come out at MNSSHP :headache: :headache: :sad1: :headache: :sad1: :headache: :sad1: :headache: :sad1: :headache: :headache:

no problem! the little 12-inch one i have is great. but i think we're going to need a bigger one for this new camera, which makes me think that you may need a bigger one, too. if i remember right, your camera is about the size of the new one i got. the new one will work with the little tripod but it was a little top heavy. and i KNOW about the MNSSHP pics.....so frustrating!

WOW!!! Your fireworks pictures are awesome!

thanks!

Wow, your camera took some great photos. What I really like is how great the castle looks, very clear.

Great fireworks pictures! Do you have a little tripod? If not, what did you do with it while you were walking around? We have a tripod, but I've never wanted to haul it along.

thanks! yes, i have a 12-inch tripod and i sit it on top of a trash can for fireworks pictures. it actually works really well!

OMG I just got chills looking at those pictures! The fireworks are amazingggg :cloud9: You did a really good job of capturing them :)

Great deal on the new camera! That grasshopper picture is so sharp and looks great!

thanks! to both comments!

I hope that works out for you. That will be a lot of fun!

me, too! who knows when it's going to happen though. we will see! jordan has a little girl named madi who's 5 years old. if (and that's a BIG if) she and brett are still "talking" when they go, i'm sure he will want to take madi (he really loves madi - margot's middle name, rain, was chosen because brett and madi used to go play in the rain together) and i hate that she's already 5 and hasn't been yet. not that she won't enjoy it at, say, age 7, but it's just SO magical to them when they're toddlers.

well, thanks for joining in! better late than never. ;)

I had a couple of questions...

- On your first day, did the Boardwalk have a problem with you parking there for so long?

i will PM you about this.

- How was park hopping with a car?

we didn't park hop. we had base tickets. the first day we went to epcot, the second to DHS, the third to MK, and the fourth to AK and then MK that night for MVMCP (since it's a separate ticketed event we could go to 2 parks that day). i would think park hopping with a car would be a pain if you're staying off site because you'd have to pay to park every time you changed parks. but you could park at one park and just take buses wherever you want to go.

- Was the traffic crazy to get to the parks? Home from the parks?

no, not at all. we never saw any traffic to speak of.

- Was if difficult making ADRs?

nope, not at all again! the only one we cut it close on was teppan edo but that was just because our soarin fastpasses were only 45 minutes before our ADR.

Onto the rest....

I'm glad your toe, arm and teeth are ok! :flower3:

I'm sorry to hear the problems your bro is going through and hope they work through it for thir daughter's sake. My bro will be 35 in September and he's still immature. Drives me bonkers!

Maybe with a zoom lens you can wean your way into liking birds.

I did see Luke's smashed up face. Poor guy! I've seen that same thing on my boys many, many times. It's just something that comes with boys. Occasionally girls will get the same or worse, too. I got a call from the P.E. teacher when Jill was about 7-8 (can't remember which grade she was in) saying that she fell during a kickball game and her face was pretty messed up. When I picked her up that afternoon, I thought, "Boy, she wasn't kidding!" Her face was scraped to pieces.

When will you be up here to see Margot again? Are you making any solid plans for that Disney trip with all of them, or is it just still an idea at this point? It would be awesome to have two trips to look forward to during the dry spell - your Wilderness Lodge one and another one with all of them!

I have a bunch of Wilderness Lodge pictures to share. I think I'll go ahead and put up some now, because since it was at the end of the trip, it'll be forever until we get to it on the report.

Have a good weekend!

maybe!

i couldn't remember if you had seen his poor little nose or not. brooke and i had several falls but brett was CONSTANTLY getting hurt. i think it happens more with boys! one of the worst things was when he dropped a big block of wood on the handle of a shovel and the pointed end hit him right between the eyes. he still has a huge scar from that. 2 inches to either side and he would've lost an eye! oh, and of course the other really bad one was when he was pushing a dirt bike across the road at 2am and got hit by a truck!

i will probably be up there to see margot (and the rest of the family) in september. i'm hoping maybe they can come down here soon but i'm not holding my breath. they got her pictures made today - i can't wait to get them and share them with you guys! audrey (my stepmom) said she did REALLY good! the idea of disney with the entire family is just that - an idea. i hope it happens but you know how those things go! just depends on how the next few months/years go.

thanks again for posting those WL pics!

i'm in the same boat! no worries. i'm just glad luke didn't break his little nose. yep, the point and shoot did the fireworks pics. of course it was on a tripod which helps immensely with fireworks shots. i had it on the twilight setting which i believe slows the shutter speed down a little bit. thanks!

i figured some of you have little girls that love american girl dolls/books/movies, so i thought i'd share these pictures here.

my best friend from high school, melanie (who lives near nashville), has a little girl named megan. megan turns 9 next weekend (which i can't believe - she was a flower girl at my wedding and was only 20 months then!!!). they got her an american girl doll for christmas. she's been wanting another one but melanie told her she wasn't buying another $100-doll right now, so megan saved up enough money to get it herself. as a reward, melanie and lamont (her hubby/megan's daddy) decided to take megan to atlanta to the american girl store here so she could buy the doll herself instead of ordering it. apparently, going to the american girl store is a BIG deal! i was invited and it was a really cute place....crazy but cute!

oh, and before anyone asks, yes, megan is lamont's child! she doesn't look biracial but she is. lamont is actually half black and half white, so she is a fourth black. whenever i say that lamont is her daddy people look at me like i'm crazy but he is! not that any of that matters, but i just wanted to clarify that before everyone asked! :)

they got there today before me and when i arrived they were waiting for megan's doll to get her hair done at the salon.....

http://punkin413.smugmug.com/photos/614382175_shLij-M.jpg

http://punkin413.smugmug.com/photos/614415765_5Ewke-M.jpg

lunch was really good and the atmosphere was so cute!

after lunch we went back into the store so megan could buy her new doll and spend some of her birthday money, too. this is the doll she picked out. her name is solani.

http://punkin413.smugmug.com/photos/614423107_iB4Y5-M.jpg

there were displays all over the stores with dolls and some of them had pets with them. this one had a llama. yes, a llama. :confused3

http://punkin413.smugmug.com/photos/614424080_qESz4-M.jpg

i looked over at lamont at one point and he was holding megan's mia doll while she shopped - this was so funny-looking!

http://punkin413.smugmug.com/photos/614425088_hwphR-M.jpg

i told megan to pick out an outfit for the dolls as her gift from us. then we went to check out and melanie and lamont's final bill came to $261!!! :scared1: $100 of that was the doll. megan had like $130 in birthday money so they actually didn't spend a lot. anyway, i thought this was funny. they had like all $5s and $10s from all the birthday money and money that megan had saved over time and it took forever to count it all out!

Fun times at the American Girl store! We have been there several times since Chelsea and I are huge fans of all of the dolls! Sadly, I think Chelsea has finally outgrown them :(. Lamont sharing his banana split with Mia cracked me up! That strawberry shortcake looks outrageously delicious!

Dawn! I'm playing catch up too! I love your new camera - I can't believe those shots! But the castle pics are really great, too! What is the name of the setting on the poor "point and shoot?" :goodvibes (maybe I have one, too)

I love the AG pics! I hope I can go to one with my DGD some day. Little Megan looks just like our friends' little girl, they could be sisters! Her dad is half African American, but he looks very white. DH was best friends with him in school for quite a while before he found out. The rest of his sibs are darker. Anyway his wife is blond with brown eyes, and they have two of the most beautiful kiddos I've ever met!

I have baby news -my oldest DS and DDIL are expecting a 2nd in April!

Hey you! It's been a while since I was over here. I leave in less than 2 weeks so I'm trying to catch up on everything. I love the new pics of your babies! Your camera is awesome girl! I can't wait to see your next TR with that one! You are going to be taking pictures of rocks! LOL

I saw American Girl and had to look. Gabby has quite the collection of them. We started them last year. She got her first one for her birthday in October. I think the bistro looks like a blast. That's what she wants to do for her birthday this year. We'll see. She has requested the NYC location. Heaven help me. :)

By the way...Megan looks just like her daddy! I can't believe someone would ask if he is her father. She looks more like him than her mom! Love the pics of Lamont holding the doll. So cute. He looks to be having a great time! Sonali is a great choice! Love her outfit too.

I have to ask...if you could choose would you want a boy or a girl?

Thanks for the mini TR. My daughter has 3 American girl dolls. The doll clothes at WDW in the stores fit American girl doll. The princess outfits etc! Her Favorite at the moment is Kaya and she does look beautiful in the Jasmine outfit!!;)

Looks like a fun time, Dawn! I'm sure it will be a sweet memory for Megan's family. Glad you got to be a part of that day with them!

Congratulations on getting your Mickey gnome.

I think you are going to be an expert with that camera when you next go to Disney World, so we ought to get more awesome pictures than ever next time! :)

So sorry I've been MIA for a while. Just getting all caught up. I just read the bloody nose installment, POOR LUKE! Kudo's to Anna for handling it so well, I'm sure she was riddled with disappointment for things not turning out as well as she had anticipated. HOW AWESOME for the CM's handling it that way and offering them all of that stuff, I can't believe they even replaced their t shirts. Do you think they were worried they were going to hold Disney liable for him tripping or something?
I wonder if the hot chocolate you had was the same that is served in the resorts, I always fill my refillable mug up with it, even in June, it is sooo tasty!
WEll, caught up now, great report as always!

Love the Mickey gnome! We got one for my FIL for father's day and I kinda wish we would have gotten one for us too! They are so cute!

Looks like you had a great time with your friends. It looks like a fun store! I have never been to one but I'm sure I will be checking it out in the future. ;)

What an adorable family they are! And Megan is beautiful. Her parents are going to have their hands full when she gets into high school because the boys are going to love her! That looks like such a fun day for you. I have to admit that I had never heard of AG before (I have a son) and it looks cute, but I'm glad I have a boy because that sounds so expensive!

Love that Mickey Mouse Gnome!!!! Hope to get one in November!
And, too funny, I am going to an American Girl store this coming Friday with my 8 year old niece named Meghan! She got one for Christmas, and yes, I guess doing the American Girl thing is a big deal. I am looking forward to it!

:goodvibesI love American Girl.....I have had mine since like 1989....that was way before they had the store. I started reading the books when I was little and you could send in a card to get a catalog of dolls of the girls you were reading about! It has very much expanded since then. There were only 3 dolls and not very much of the clothing/accessories they have now! I can't wait until I can take Amelia to AG to pick out her own doll! I didn't know there was one is Atlanta.....:rolleyes1maybe we can stop there on our drive to Disney in December!

The American Girl Doll store sounds like so much fun and the bistro sounds really cool! I never knew they were soo expensive before! Jeez, Megan is on luck girl!

P.S. I think Megan definitely looks like Lamont too! Shes a beautiful girl! My cousin is married to a man whose half black and half white and have 4 girls together. They don't look multiracial at all either but, like Megan, I think they all look like their daddy when you actually look at their faces! :thumbsup2
