My French is awful but I got this message today for the AP office:
Etant detenteur d’un passport annuel, vous avex le liberte de pouvoir acceder aux 2 parcs Disneyland quand vous les voulez. Aussi, afin de profiter pleinement de la saison noel, nous vous conseillons de privilegier une visite a partir de lundi 22 decembre. Si vous aves neanmoins prevu de venir ce samedi 20 ou dimanche 21 decembre, nous vous inviter a programmee une arrivee a compter de 18h afin que chacun puisse profiter a mieux de la magie de noel.
I couldn't copy & paste so I've typed it in which will account for any typos!
Using Babelfish I got this:
Being holder of an annual passport, you avex freedom to be able to reach the 2 Disneyland parks when you want them. Also, in order to benefit fully from the Christmas season, we advise you to privilege a visit from Monday December 22. If you aves nevertheless envisaged to come this Saturday 20 Sunday December 21, us to invite you has programmee an arrival as from 18:00 so that each one can profit magic of Christmas has better.
Does that mean I am not going to be allowed in the park until 6pm on those days? Obviously that makes a huge difference to me so if anyone can help with a bit of translation I'd be very grateful!

I think that means you have a better chance getting in the park from 6pm onwards.

It basically says that you do have the freedom to visit the park 365 days per year however as the weekend is supposed to be very, ver busy they are suggesting that you go on Monday insetad, however if you have already booked to go for the weekend they suggest that you leave your arrival until 6pm in the evening to ensure that you are able to make the most of the Christmas Season.
It appears that they are appealing to AP holders not to visit on Sat and Sun if possible.

Check out this link that Disneyland is already full for Sunday 21st, meaning a lot of people. The French text that you sent does not specifically say that you will not be allowed in.

(BTW thanks for typing this, Britchic4 - I was trying to cut and paste the email I received and it just wouldn't so I was thinking of typing it out on Babelfish - you have saved me the job!)

This was a good excuse to go back and ask AP office about sending communications out in English as well as French :thumbsup2
Hope this does not impact on DISers trips too much :grouphug:

I wasn't happy with the translation so I phoned the AP office who put me through to someone who could speak English. She said it would be better to not arrive until 6pm both days, I explained I had small children so would be more likely to be leaving at 6pm, and she said that was fine they just wanted to alert me to the fact that it would be very busy. I double checked and she said I would not be refused entry with a Dream AP. (But who knows?)
On Sunday I have already resigned myself to only going for EMH into the main park and spending the rest of the day at the studios, but I am a bit concerned about our arrival on Sunday afternoon. Ah well, shall try to stay happy and merry.

I'd be very wary of this. If the park is at capacity then no-one is getting in, AP or no AP if it's full, it's full. I *think* what the CM means is that they aren't going to turn you away becuase you are a AP holder but if it's full they will turn away AP holders the same as everyone else.

I took it to mean this as well.... They wouldn't be able to let more than the parks capacity in for health and safety reasons, surely? Regardless of whether or not people are AP holders...

Yes exactly. I just hope I can get in on Saturday lunchtime when we arrive, as otherwise I'm going to have a couple of very disappointed children. I should imagine as long as we turn up very early on Sunday we'll be OK to get in.

Hi All,
Just come back from DLP - travelled over on the Sunday and yes, quite worried after reading all about the park being full etc. We had no problems getting in around 19.00 and found it comparitively empty - managed BTM right at the end, only 15 min wait in the main queue!. Must say, we passed streams of people exiting on the way in though!
Now perhaps the reason as to why the park was full - when my wife and I did a booze hop over to Auchan Calais early December we did see a poster advertising children to see Santa at Disney for 1 Euro - didn't think anymore about that at the time as we are AP holders.
However, it would appear if you bought a hopper ticket for 60 Euro, children did get a hopper for 1 Euro. There were no posters advertsing this so presume a deal for Auchan customers and for the w/e days? Anyway might well explain the huge numbers....but no advertised here obviously...
Well we had a fab time although did drizzle after we saw the 15.45 Mickey's Winter Wonderland show on the Monday but Tues, lovely sunshine after cloud early on. Bargains to be had on selected souvenirs - Xmas Minnie and Mickey half price on one of the stalls on the way in! And of course the pound to the euro not good for the bank balance!
The purchase of extra fastpass tickets paid dividends as the wait times were up to 2 hours for the major rides during the daytime! Recommend this option to anyone!
Rgds
