Okay Spring is coming, how many of you are making your plans for your next DVC trip. Tell us your plans, where you are going, how many days, what hotel, and who are you bringing. We are planning to go in May. No hotel yet but we are planning at WDW coupled with either a VB or HH weekend.

We will be spending 4 nights/5 days at Vero next month in a Beach Cottage. We are bringing my in-laws and my sister-in-laws family with us.

We are also heading to WDW in late May as my husband is attending a conference. We are probably going to add 2-3 nights onto that trip at BW (if we can get in). That will be our first time staying at our home resort.

Can't wait for either one!

Going for an extended Memorial Day weekend with just my sister and niece. We're staying at PO since my sister loves that place.

Going with my best friend in August for two weeks. One week in a studio at BWV (my first trip home) and one week at AKL savannah view!

Hoping to check out the food festival in October during Columbus weekend.

Can't wait!

Jean. If you don't mind me asking, are you staying at Vero on points or cash? You say your home resort is BWV, so I was just wondering, if you ARE staying on points in the Beach cottage, how far in advance you booked.

As far as us... we're staying the last week in April for 5 nights at OKW. Believe it or not, this will be the LONGEST trip we've made since buying in April, '97! I can't wait!

We are going to BWV -- 3/1-3/4! This was a totally spur of the moment trip (we just booked it two weeks ago) -- it's our daughter's 9th birthday and we're keeping this a complete surprise. (It's killing me!) She doesn't suspect a thing since we were just there over Christmas. I can't wait to go back -- just 3 short weeks! DVC was one of the best decisions we ever made! :D

We're also going the last week in April. First 2 nights at the AKL (so excited about seeing the new resort), last 5 nights at BWV (partly with relatives, so we're starting with a 2BR then dropping to a 1BR).

This will be our first trip home, and I just love the flexibility of being able to bring relatives then switching when we don't need the space any longer.

Only 71 days left (or thereabouts)!

We'll be there May 6 for 5 nights in a BW 1BR, then for 4 more nights (after a weekend away) in a BW studio. Can't wait!!

Hi all, OKW owners since 1997 here. We decided to do non DVC resorts this year. We spent 6 days at Keystone in January on points and will be going to DCA in May and staying at the Grand Californian. Isn't DVC great!

We have 2 "homes" - OKW & HH. Our plans this year are 3/14-18 @ HH in a studio (going with 2 other couples who have their own non-DVC accommodations). Then 8/26-31 @ OKW (Sun-Thur, of course), Fri & Sat with family/friends in area, then back to HH Sun 9/2 for 3 nights. That's the end of vacation for us at that point because I work at The Disney Store and we are not allowed to take time off between November/January. Then maybe a cruise???!!! ;)

We are going next in January of 2002. I have to make our ressies next week or week after depending on when we decided to go. We have friends traveling with us (couple) and possibly our son and his girlfriend. We will have 2 Disney trips in 2002 and one Hawaii exchange in 2002, so we will be travelling a lot next year.

Hey Jenn, my husband is attending a conference late in May too. We're staying at the Dolphin for the conference from May 19th to the 23rd. Right now we have reservations for OKW 1-bedroom for the 23rd through the 25th. I'm on the waitlist for a 1-bedroom at BWV for the same time. We love OKW but we will not have a car this trip so getting from the Dolphin to OKW might be quite an adventure. Hope the waitlist comes through! My husband is attending an ACORD conference. Jenn, your husband isn't by chance attending the same one is he?

Also a quick 3 nite run down to BWV Nov 5-8 for DH and me alone (YES!)to see the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot. We'll be in a studio for the first time - hope it doesn't feel too cramped. Obviously, we're spoiled! :)

Beth -

We are staying in the beach cottage at Vero on points. We booked in October, so it was only 5 months out. We ideally wanted President's week or Easter week, but both were was totally booked. In fact, all of February was booked and the wait lists were even booked. They had 5 nights in March, so we took that. We are staying from Sun - Thursday (less points - but still costing us 312! - talk about sticker shock). The cash rate for teh beach cottage is over $900 per night this time of year.

Eva -

My husband is actually attending a Harland Banking Software conference held every year at the Yacht and Beach Club.

We are going 3/12 to 3/19 at OKW (home). Its our (DH, 2 DSs and myself) annual March trip, but we usually go one week later. I just found out that Fla. schools are on vacation during our stay. Luckily, we have a "planned, but relaxed" trip thanks to DVC and DIS.

Sad to say, we just had our vacation for a week at OKW in a GV.

I don't think our next one will be until Dec 2002, where we plan to (hopefully!) split 2 weeks between BWV and OKW.

We are starting to plan our trip in September to our home resort OKW. Due to having four cats at home (no we cannot leave them at a shelter and we have no one "responsible" to look after them)we are planning our trip this way. September 9th to 18th my parents go down to a Studio at OKW. On the 18th my father returns and I go down on Sept. 19th and meet up with my mother at OKW. We will be there till Sept. 28th. So that means my mother will be at OKW/Disney for 20 days. She is soooooo lucky  It does not bother us at all doing it this way. My father likes to just relax at the resort and do Epcot once. My mother and I do all the theme parks and Resort Hopping. So she gets the best of both worlds. We love our cats very much and I would be worried about them if we did it any other way and I would not be able to enjoy myself then.

Disney, were you are also a kid.

I am just starting the planning for our trip in July. Total of 16 adults, 7 children, and 3 infants. Ressies at OKW in two Grand Villas and two studios for 5 nights - almost 3 years of points. I asked for suggestions on one of of the other boards, but did not receive one response. Any help from DVCers?

Our next trip will be July 14th to the 27th at OKW in a two bedroom. There will be 8 of us--three daughters and their hubbies/significant others. Then we go again from November 17th to the 26th--so we'll be there over Thanksgiving--again in a two bedroom with the entire crew. Our youngest daughter worked at SciFi Dine-In Theater last summer as part of the College Program. She got a phone call last week from Casting asking her to be in the Tapestry of Nations parade this year from June until January 2002 !! Needless to say, it did not take her long to say YES. It will be fun to see her in the parade! Also glad we have the Thanksgiving ressies so we can spend one holiday with her.

Just made my ressies for BWV for Sept. 22-28 . . . second time at my home resort since joining last March. I made the plane reservations 2 days ago, so it's pretty well set. All I have to do is reserve the Limo.

Last time I went with family, so this time I'm taking 3 friends to do a "girls' vacation." Two of them have never "done Disney", so I can't wait to share the magic. It should be a great trip!

Any suggestains We will likely only have 4 or 5 in are group at this point. I thought about going to Sanibel Island to look for Sea shells, ect.

We feel in Love with Vero last year and will likely always include it on our trips.

Hi Colleen,

I noticed that this is your first post on DIS. From one CT resident to another, WELCOME!

We stayed at OKW for the Millennium NYE celebration and had a wonderful time. It will be remembered as one of our best NYE's, especially since we had both of the "children" with us. (They were 18 and 21 at the time. :) )

It is a great time to go. You can't beat the fireworks! Have a great time!!!

We're "Going Home" for our first DVC trip from Oct 23 - Oct 28. It's Teacher's Convention for most of Wisconsin. We've booked a two bedroom at the Boardwalk so we could invite my brother and sister-in-law from Connecticut. The planning stage sure is fun!

We are planning on going to OKW one of the last two weeks in October. Don't know which one yet (don't know how kids would feel about grandma and grandpa babysitting on Halloween). We are going with a few other adult couples, some who have never been to WDW! No kids this trip...time for mom and dad to play!

We just got back yesterday from 3 nights at Coronado (cash ressies w/ Florida Resident special rates). We hooked up with Garrett79 on Saturday for lunch at EPCOT as he was in the middle of joining. We will be going to Vero Beach May 27-30 and the Garrett79 family will be joining us the first couple days. We will be staying at our home resort (BWV) Aug 31 - Sept 9 (our annual trip for our anniversary , this year is our 5th anniversary). We will also be staying at BWV again Dec. 13-16. We also have some points left that we're not sure if we are going to bank or spend another weekend at Disney with. Hope to see some of you there!!

We are going to OKW studio March 29-April 1, 2001. Then we are going to OKW Studio May 27-June 2, 2001. We're really looking forward to that one because we've never stayed at WDW for more than 3 nights! Our DD and DS are also excited about this trip - they'll finally get to do a water park and mini-golf. We love DVC!

We have 3 DVC trips planned this year. Two are for us and one for the in-laws.

We are going on a 7 day cruise on the Magic this May using DVC points. My in-laws are coming with, but paying cash for thier room.

Early October we are treating my in-laws to 5 nights down at Vero Beach.

Mid October we head back to our home resort Boardwalk for a long weekend at WDW.

I love DVC!

We bought into BWV last October and took our first trip as members in December (4 nights in a 1-br at OKW). This year, we'll be spending 5 nights in December in a standard view 1-br at BWV for my 50th birthday, and then doing 3 nights at the Grand Californian at DL for my partner's 55th. Really looking forward to our first time at our home resort and to seeing the new developments in Anaheim!
