I'll play...

Sand - Sandy from SpongeBob Squarepants, no real reason was trying to come up with a user name for something and it happened to be on the tv :)

2270 - I was born on Dec 22, 1970. There now you all know how old I am.

First name Amy, but most of you know that already.

Okay, here's mine:

My first name is John
My middle name is Eric

So, there you have it: Most. Boring. Nick. Ever.

Was thinking of possibly using something creative, but worried that I would be forever known by that name rather than my real one. Yes, I actually thought that far ahead.

And I will probably continue to think of you by your screen names rather than your real names. Even ACM563. :teeth:

Except for Timmy. I guess if you remind yourself, "Timmy's a girl, Timmy's a girl," often enough, the name sticks.

So going back to you JohnEric who is really John Eric from Fl... did I ask you the personal question of... how old are you ???

Oooh, personal questions... I like those! (I hear that they're popular around here!) I'm 41 3/4 (will be 42 on 2/22). Single, never married, no children, two ferrets. Cute as a button. (Referring to myself, not the ferrets.) (But the ferrets are cute, too.) (For people who like ferrets.)

and also JohnEric who is really John Eric... what do you do ?? and how far are you from the Promise Land... and do you have a FL AP ? :goodvibes :rotfl:

I work from home, doing computer work (designing back-end processes for a website that my company is developing, but it's not really that exciting; it's just that every time I tell people that I do computer work, they want more details, so There It Is). My office is in MN, so I have to travel there once a month for a few days.

I live about an hour from WDW. (Also am about an hour from the Holy Land Experience, so if you're referring to that Promised Land, it's the same distance.)

I do have an Annual Pass, and a DVC membership. I spend a week at WDW around March/April every year for my grandmother's birthday... including me; my mother and her husband; my brother, his wife, and their daughter; and, of course, my grandmother. I also go at other times, too, especially on the weekends (sometimes a man has to get a haircut, you know?). :goodvibes

I could handle living in San Diego. The San Francisco bay area is a little cold for my tastes. Although it's 34 degrees outside right now.

I was raised in South Dakota, moved to California in June 1970. You figure I'd be use to the cold! ;)

I'm pretty happy where I'm at. With the exception an uncle and a cousin, my family is all in the area. I've got about ten years to retirement. After that? Who knows. Probably my dream retirement job would be a photographer at WDW. For Disneyland, the LA area is too pricey and too big. Only problem I know of in Orlando area is the crime rate's a little high.

I chose "buena vista" because it's the name of the golf course (Lake Buena Vista) that's located at Saratoga Springs and meanders through OKW which is where I usually like to stay. People who use my screenname call me BV. Friends call me Tom. Some of my cousins still call me Tommy, but I haven't gone by that since I was a kid. When I tell friends I am going to Disney, they say "Again?- once is enough for us" and I say, "Fine, More Mickey For Me!"

Only a few people here know my name.
Timmy calls me RA, because she doesn't like to type too much and MM4M is too much!!! (Love you, Timmy!!!)

RA!!!! You better !!! You got no choice coz your stuck with me... remember we have that list to figure out still the cool and the awesome list :lmao:

I chose "buena vista" because it's the name of the golf course (Lake Buena Vista) that's located at Saratoga Springs and meanders through OKW which is where I usually like to stay. People who use my screenname call me BV. Friends call me Tom. Some of my cousins still call me Tommy, but I haven't gone by that since I was a kid. I mean a real kid, not the kid I become when I go to WDW :).

well to me... even though we have not consumated our crime together "YET" you will be Tom who is my partner in Crime !!!!

I'll be there and it'll be great to meet you as well. Need to touch base with BV after christmas to see what the arrangements are. I'd love to be able to take the Bike out and I'm debating right now on wether I want to sign up for a Backstage tour or Rent a Bike for the day when I'm down in Feb. Should probably wait till I get down there and see what the weather brings.

Mousecop
12-18-2008, 11:32 AM
Let's see, mine's not very exciting. "Mousecops" were what Anaheim PD quickly nicknamed the Disneyland Security officers shortly after the Park opened in 1955, presuming (incorrectly) that we were all grade-school graduates at best.

When they found out that the hiring standards for Disneyland Security were as high as they were (I don't think there's ever been a Disneyland Security officer that didn't have a graduate degree), it became an affectionate nickname that's stuck through the years. Since they learned about the standards, they treat us like equals.

So I'm proud to have been a "mousecop." Check out our alumni association, referenced in my sig below.

I see that there's a 'buena vista' here, and I presume you know that Buena Vista Distribution Co. was Walt's company he created when he took back distribution from RKO for his shorts and films (after either paying too much royalties, or not getting the distribution to theaters he wanted). It was named for one of the streets that parallels the studio - Buena Vista Drive. Probably because "Burbank Blvd. Distribution Co." sounds silly.

Yes, I don't think that you would qualify as an "angRy RN". Though I have known a few people to whom that would be quite fitting.

On the plus side, at least those who saw your license tag didn't think that they had left off an initial letter "M". ;)

I worked at Busch Gardens from 1990-1992.
Then I worked at Disney World from 1993-1995.
Then i worked at Universal Studios from 1995-1997.
I worked at Busch Gardens again this year from May until November before I moved up here to Tallahassee.

Silly Human, don't you know that we don't have cats.. they just make their claim to their territory!

Absolutely! I've got two masters who'll be meowing at me asking me where I've been and wanting their treats once I walk in the door ;)

Fortunately just a couple of my work buddies trying to finish financial data entry before one of them leaves for the holidays (I'm sticking around to provide moral support and be an extra pair of hands for data entry if needed ;) since I can actually do most of what I'm doing at the moment from home)

Also playing some podcasts for cover in case I end up ROFL :rolleyes1

lol...I know.... I know.... and I dont think you ever told me but I just now realized it:lmao:

(and I want to add a little something for those who truly do NOT know us ~me, TT, Carrie~ that well..... Our Trip Reports are sometimes 10% fiction, 90% fact and sometimes 90% fiction and 10% fact, we like to joke around and have a good time but there was a question I was asked that I do not think I ever answered...We were asked if many ppl make a habit of going to WDW to pick up guys/girls....I can only answer for myself, even tho I know T and Carries answers, but the answer to that for me is NO... I have made many comments regarding what the singles threads are for me....they are a place to meet like minded singles...male or female who share my love for Disney...It is not about "picking anyone up" If in my adventures I meet someone who shares my values and moral system then yay for us, but that is not my agenda...Any pics you see of us flirting or playing around are just that... pictures..and the ending to the story is always the same...we went home (or to our own separate rooms) ALONE...The people on this board whom I hang out with in real life know me so well, that I forget sometimes that others do not.....so I wanted to add that clarification):grouphug:

Pirate. I guess it depends on how you define them though - I think a Prince is one who's born into royal wealth and privledge. It's an inherited title, whereas a pirate toils and risks for what he/she earns. My brother and sister and I were all very fortunate to grow up in a loving and supportive home, and we're blessed in many ways, but we've always had to work hard and save and study to get to where we are.

So pirate:

I think I would fall under a Pirate's Princess: I love frilly things: soft sheets, jewlery, flowers, etc. But I also like "manly" things like chicken wings, lounging on the couch to watch UFC/ boxing, etc...
But then again...I have at least 100 pairs of shoes, love good makeup and absolutely LOVE quality perfume! Hmmm, I think I am swaying to the Frilly Princess side...:cutie: princess:
