Thoughts for Kim

Hi all!

Most of you are probably not aware, but Jacksmom99 is my SIL and, as she posted a few weeks ago, she broke her ankle on the way to work. Yesterday, as a complication to the break, she suffered a pulmonary embolism. Right now she is stable and in good spirits, (although a little miffed about the possibility of having to cancel her upcoming trip) but she could always use a few wishes.

I think she may get a computer tomorrow and I am sure, this is the first place she will come check......

I so hoped for her that it would heal quick and that it would'nt interfear with her upcomming trip.

Oh crap - I deal with PEs in my profession and I know what that means. Give her my best and at least we know that this is most likely an isolated incidence and it won't happen again. Not like the folks who have a chronic risk.

The doctor just came in and told me I can drive to Disney!!!!!:yay: :yay: :woohoo: :woohoo: :banana: :banana: I am sooooo happy!!! I will have to stop every couple of hours and walk, as well as get my blood levels checked a few times while I'm there. I am soooo excited!!!!!

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers.:goodvibes I am home now and am soooooo happy!!! I've had some time to reflect on what happened and how lucky I am. I was stupid and waited 20 hrs to call the dr after the first onset of shortness of breath. I just thought I was out of shape and my body was giving up hauling my ample behind up the stairs on crutches. I am really going to sit back and enjoy this holiday season and take in all the sights as seen through the eyes of my kids.

No, not recently. I actually got it when Meredith was born and I asked for help on the Technical board. I felt guilty about my screen name which was obviously around before she was;) So I asked for a little color to make her name stand out a little, too. Who knew at the time (6 years age) that Jack would become such a part of my Dis world and most of the time I really am "Jacksmom":rotfl2:

I'm getting excited about the trip! Now I have to work with my dr on Monday to find a place to get my blood levels checked near WDW. I was thinking Celebration Hosp. Then I have to fight with my insurance to cover it....Ugh It will work out though. :thumbsup2
