I posted a few months back asking how to get over the guilt of going to Disney minus the kiddos. Well, I took the plunge and booked a grown-up girls' only trip for March. I just had to take advantage of the 7/4 and $200 gift card deal!!

So, flights and package are booked, but I still feel a little sad about not taking the little one. I'm excited to head to some of the night spots (of course Pleasure Island would have to be closed already!) and do a little sipping around the World Showcase (we're staying at BC), but will it be as much fun without running to character meet and greets and seeing the magic through a three year old's eyes? Actually, since he's not going in March, he may be four the next time we're there together.

In addition to getting over the guilt, what are some other things we can do sans tots. We're not renting a car, so we don't plan on leaving WDW property. There will be two, possibly three of us, all legal. :thumbsup2 :drinking1

you can do the drinks around the world (world showcase) - get a different drink in each country. of course you might not be able to walk....

at bc do the garden tour - think it is still offered.

walk over and do the minature golf

do the character breakfast at the BC - Cape May Cafe - Goofy's Beach Blast.

the food is excellent for a character meal.

take your time - go completely around World Showcase (with kids this can be problem)

ride Mission:space!:scared1:

We did that last week...two weeks ago? DS loved it!!

We did all the Kidcots last week, so it will be nice to look at the shops (and grab a drink ;)) this time!!

ride Mission:space!:scared1:

I am absolutely going to try MS this time!! We've never had time to do it.

of course Pleasure Island would have to be closed already!

may I recommend CityWalk over at Universal Studios for some nightly entertainment? It is pretty big and has some nice clubs there like Margarittaville.

Although it can be a little sad going without your little one, it will be a totally different experience and can be just was magical, if not more so.

We had a bit of the opposite experience. My husband and I have been going annually for about a decade and took our 3yr old for the first time a couple of months ago. It was a very different experience and although we loved the character meals and seeing the world through his eyes, the vacation definitely was not as relaxing as it normally is and we felt a bit of longing for the good old days when it was just the two of us. We could eat leisurely meals without having to entertain a small child, go on all the "grown-up" rides, wander World Showcase at our pace, not have to return mid-afternoon for naptime and early in the evening before the nightly entertainment so our little guy can go to bed. We didn't have to worry about "bathroom" breaks and overdoing it with our son.

Both experiences can be wonderful but since you have an opportunity for an adults only vacation, enjoy and realize you deserve it!

I also agree with the recommendations of adult only activities by the other posters.
