Can you take aerosol cans on the airplane?

I'm talking about things like aerosol deodorant, Lysol and bug spray. Would it be better in checked baggage or carry on?

You can take a small quanity on the plane but it should be in your checked luggage. The FAA has a web site that shows what you can bring.
