We arrived at the Polynesian at around 1:30 on Saturday, again following my son's (age 6) tee ball game. Our room was not ready, but we were prepared! We had our swim suits on already. We went to the volcano pool and found a nice spot and enjoyed the afternoon. We retired to our room at around 4pm, and got dressed for the Luao. The dinner and show was wonderful. The dancing was great and the fire throwing was incredible. After the Luao, we drove over to Downtown Disney and picked up a few items for upcoming graduation gifts. We returned to the Polynesian in time for the Magic Kingdom fireworks. We walked over to the beach in front of Hawaii and had a wonderful view. The next morning we got up, and went for a morning swim. We then went back to our room, checked out, put our bags in the truck and took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We ate lunch at the Columbia House and and then all picked one attraction. My son picked Splash Mountain so we got a Fast Pass. My daughter (2.5) picked Small World so we hopped on and rode it while we waited for the Fast Pass for Splash. We then at citrus swirls at the Sun Terrace in Agrobah before riding the Splash Mountain. My wife and daughter went to Toon Town and met with Minnie and friends while we were riding. We walked back over and then all rode the Barnstormer (my wife's choice). We then walked back to the front, stopping at the Emporium on the way out. But wait, we haven't ridden my ride yet! Ahhhh, the boat back to the Poly.

We had a great time. :D We have stayed at many resorts over the years (All Star Sports, Music, Movies, Riverside, French Quarter, Carribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, the Swan, the Contemporary) and they are all great. We each had our favorites, but we all agreed that the Polynesian is now the best resort on property. It combines our favorite things about our favorite resorts - the day bed and monorail like the Contemporary, the feel of the Carribbean Beach, and the coolest pool of all  (according to my son!). This will definately be our resort of choice for special occasions to come!

Next stop - Carribbean Beach for a long Memorial Day weekend!

Just back from CBr and it was great!!!!! We are supposed to stay at the Poly in Nov for Vet Day weekend. I'm just curious if you got a FL Res rate and what it was. I will book probably before discounts come out, then change to AP, then FL Res (hopefully).
