From my iris I mean. I haven't seen any signs of life from my iris yet. I'm just wondering if I'm being too impatient?

Rajah, you make me smile! :) Umm, bring us up to date as to where you are with the iris. I remember you liking them but I don't remember you getting them and I'm too lazy to look through all the postings (I'll get diverted too easily).

LOL Tuli! Um... maybe 3 weeks ago (I think) I was in Wal-mart and found that they had bearded iris bulbs for sale. In color combinations I liked. So I got two and potted them in a coupe of terra-cotta pots. I haven't seen any signs of life yet and I'm just curious how long it should take -- the label doesn't say.

Rajah you should be seeing some sign of life. Not to say they are not going to grow. There should be a small shoot starting soon.

Rajah: Here in Michigan my siberian is about 5-6 inches high. I'm not sure about the bearded iris. If this is the first year for your iris and your not seeing anything maybe you planted it to deep. The corns need to be mostly planted above ground. Susan

I think if I haven't seen signs of life by tomorrow or Sunday, I'm going to dig back to the bulb and see if there's anything there, and if not I'll move it up a bit. I think it's about an inch to two down in the pot, which is what the instructions said, but I would have expected *something* by now.
