WARNING: The article is for adults only but as a follow up to the story that was done on the podcast last week, thought all of you mature people would be interested in this story that was done in LA Magazine in July on what life is like being Jack Sparrow:

And just to add my own experience here, when we went to the Pirate & Princess Party in May there were some women (early 20s I'm guessing) dressed as pirate wenches and their attire, manner, and language led me to believe that they were the type of girls who would be losing their shirts if the opportunity arised. It was nearly profane.

This is terrible, but I had to giggle at the name on the napkin.

I took my family on a Disney Wonder cruise this past August 28th. On the night if the pirate party I was really feeling in the mood to dress up. So I went down to the shops near the Walt Disney Theater and spent $80.00 and bought a Jack Sparrow costume.

After our 8:00 dinner was over, I headed back to our state room to get ready.
Now keep in mind that these costumes are not exactly "Jack Sparrow" quality costumes, but more of a generic Disney pirate getup.

Once I hit the top deck, it didn't take 10 minutes before people were coming up to me to get their picture taken with Jack Sparrow:confused3

I felt like such a second rate Jack, but I was just dressing up to be part of the festivities and nothing more.

I had at least 3 women I could remember coming up to me with a big smile, hanging off my shoulder while their boyfriends/husbands took the shot.

So on a very very small scale, I can truly understand what this guy was encountering a Jack Sparrow!
