View Full Version : All those added BCV guests....

So SAB poolhopping is to be no more after July 1 because BCV guests will add too much demand by those extra guests...so what are they doing about transportation? The bus for YC/BC and now I assume BCV also serves Swan Dolphin and BW....surely the demand for buses is going to be greater by adding so many more people...and yet they have not announced any action to address this concern...and demand for buses is more of an all-day, all-the-time concern than SAB crowd issues....Anybody heard about how they plan to handle this?
Suggestions?

Good Question. Maybe they should split the resorts using the bus service like the All stars.
We are staying at the BCV in October and this is the one thing I am not looking forward to. :(

I really hate taking the bus downtown. Even worse is getting back home. We started taking a taxi to avoid all the stops, both through the resorts and through Downtown and the water park! Worth every penny! Especially after shopping, always way too many bags!

Even as close as OKW is to DTD, we still usually take either the walk way or pontoon boat back from there, 'cuz the bus takes WAY too long.

When we stay at OKW we ALWAYS take our car. Buses take too long, too crowded and we have the hold all our treasures (packages).

We bought BCV points because our favorite parks are Epcot and Studios and we enjoy walking to both of them. Even though we'll be staying at BCV, we really won't add to the bus problem.
Still, I'd be interested to see whether they limit the busses to less resorts or increase bus frequency to handle more people. It is annoying to spend what seems like 15 minutes going around to the Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk and YC/BC bus stops.

I am concerned as well about the bus situation. The EPCOT resort buses are already stressed IMO. I am hoping they split the bus routes to maybe YC/BC/BCV and a separate route to BWI/BWV/SWAN/DOLPHIN. I never understood why there were so many deluxe/home away from home resorts on the same route. Hopefully whatever they do, it improves the bus system.

should write to WDW to express that concern. I can't remember their direct e-mail address off the top of my head, but you can go to this web page to write them:
http://studio.go.com/cgi-bin/gmail/generic_mail.cgi?template=disneyworld/form.tpl
Just highlight 'message for the Walt Disney World Resort'
Really, they are much more likely to do something about this if they hear from lots of us about it.

I took the bus from Downtown Disney on 5-6 at about 3 pm, and it did take a good while. One reason was the added stop at Typhoon Lagoon, no one has mentioned that. Perhaps it's a new stop in the route? Diana

When we were at WDW over Easter, during busy times they ran one bus for BW/YC/BC and another for the Swolphin. I imagine this is what they are planning to do.

when staying at BWV in January, we actually found it quicker to get off at the Dolphin when returning to the Hotel and walk the rest of the way...
