My whole family (11 of us) are going on the E. Caribbean cruise June 15. Trying to figure out which excursions to do. Personally, I have signed up for the fishing in Castaway...is it worth doing? Also, any recommendations for snorkeling (there are quite a few selections)? Also any thoughts on the submarine excursion out of St Thomas?
Thank you

We did the Atlantis sub trip and really enjoyed it!!!!It;s pricey but woth it. We did the Golen Eagle catamaran ride and loved it. some ppl got seasick but it was alot of fun. Snorkeling was not good on that excrsion. I've heard to go to Sapphire Beach or coki Beach inSt. Thomas. Good luck and Have a blast!!!!!

Are they real strict about the submarine excursion age? My son is 3 1/2 but meets the height requirement. Do you think they will allow him to go on it?

I would think if they have a requirement and you pass, it would be fine.I don't recall any children that young on our trip.

Hey - saw you're cruise on the magic the 15th....we're going then too!! We're having a tough time determing which cruise is appropriate for 6, 12, 40's and 60's age groups to plan together! I've read the see and sea is good....any thoughts on that?? We're SOOO excited, it's our 1st cruise...gotta love the mouse!

Charlotte, nice to hear of someone else who will be on the same cruise. There are eleven in our group, ranging in age from 2-1/2 years to 70 years old... so finding activities for all has been challenging. From what I understand, my sister is having difficulties minding day care (babysitter) for the little one while we are doing onshore activities. Hopefully we will get that worked out. How many people are in your group? Can't believe the cruise is only a month away!

my husband and i did the champagne catamaran and it was a blast...there were children on the boat and the snorkeling was great..the staff was friendly and you can get to know a lot of people of board....it was very much worth the money...great buffet lunch on board..they had snacks on the way and as much alcohol that you wanted.....cant wait to do it again

Swede: thanks for the response, we're a "small" party of 6 - Grandparents, kids, and us!! We are looking hard at the Catamaran excursion but concerened about if the kids don't enjoy snorkeling, what would they do on the boat? and would they get easily bored? I'm sure we'll trot over to Coral World as my DH has been there and says it really is worth it!! The sub trip looks fun though....so much to do, so little time!!! :sunny:

Glad to see we have some sports fans in here. Since my Blackhawks are out, haven't been watching much hockey...but I guess I would probably have to pull for the 'Canes (sorry Disney6). Charlotte does this mean that I will find you in the ESPN room on the ship?

I'm sure we'll be checking it out :p Especially since ESPN has decided they don't have to call them the CANES /WHALERS any more!!!
