5:35 pm - We arrived at the Beach Club for our 5:55 pm reservation at Cape May Cafe. There was a bit of a line up for check-in but it was no big deal since the line moved fast. We were given a pager and told that it would be a short wait before we were seated. We began to walk around the loby when the pager went off. We were shown/told where all the food was located. I especially payed attention to the yummy dessert bar. Than we were seated.

Our server came and asked what we wanted to drink. My mother, father and I all had rootbeers. We all than went up to the buffet food area. There was food for everyone. What I mean by this is that if you liked seafood there was lots. If you liked bbq food, there was lots.

I ate the following:
1. Green Beans with Yellow Zucchini
2. Pasta with Crab [it had a creamy sauce]
3. Red Potatoes [plain, not cut but YUMMY]
4. Sausage, Red Pepper, Tomato & Onion mix
5. Cucumber Salad
6. Pasta Salad with Shrimp
7. Macaroni and Cheese

My dad ate:
1. Asparagus
2. Peas & Carrots
3. Corn on the Cob
4. Most of the things I ate

My mother ate:
1. Mashed Potatoes
2. Caesar Salad
3. Almost everything thing my father and I ate

The Verdict:
Cape May Cafe was really yummy. They have various salads, soups, seafood, bbq items etc. Oh DESSERTS!!!

I took a picture which I will post when I return home. They had Oreo bon-bons, Pumpkin Cheesecake, German Cake, Key Lime Pie, Carmel Flan, Brownies, Cookies, Fruit Salad and more.

We prefer this buffet over any other. There was NOTHING wrong with the food. We are glad we ate there tonight.

Yet there may be nothing wrong with the food,
I cannot justify the price, especially after having to pay for drinks, plus added on gratuity for the holidays, and tip.

We canceled our ADR for our upcoming trip because of the escalated prices.

So glad to hear someone else likes Cape May too! We always make a point of having dinner here with the kids at least one night. Though we are all seafood eaters there is definately a wide variety of other foods too. We never feel rushed or pushed out by the next party either. :)

We did not notice if we had to pay for drinks. However, I understand the concern with the price but to me, i'm on vacation. We barely ever eat out, so it's nice to go out once on a pricey meal.

I guess its just me. We were told that next week the price for Cape May goes up to 45 dollars for one person. I just think it's ridiculous.

Is this increase just for the holiday season, or is it $45 from now on? Doubling the price for a buffet seems pretty steep!

We ate there a couple of evenings ago. The fish special was salmon in zinfandel sauce... I didn't try it, but the person who did gave it a big thumbs down. The roast beef was good, but one person in our party wanted a less-rare slice and the carver refused to accomodate her. And the mac & cheese was lacking something... like cheese? Everything else was quite yummy, especially the desserts (flan! nummmy!) I sure wish they'd add some crab legs to the menu, though.
