Hello!!! We got back home yesterday that 20 hour drive with no sleep really takes it out of you. We had a great trip accept I got sick the last 3 three days.(still sick) Oh yeah and while we where at Epcot getting ready to head back to FW my mom (who was at FW) fell and hit her face on the sidewalk at the beach. So disney called the medics they said she was ok. But now her face wow it has some color in it now. We where in the 1900 loop me and the DW had 1913 and my parents had 1914. We asked for the 200 or 100 loop. We liked our site it had alot of open space beside it.

I will post some pics later in the week something is wrong with my photo bucket account. We met lklasing and stacktester. We met up with Donnie at DHS when they had EMH and rode Toy Story mania ( thats a fun ride over the whole trip we rode it 6 times) and Tower of Terror. Donnie and his daughter are both really nice. Oh and I swear he never dropped a thing:thumbsup2 . We saw lots of Disboards signs but never anybody out side. We waved at TCD as he was leaving but he had no idea who we where. (We where the black cart with flames and the pirate flag)

Yes it was a great trip and my mom will be ok as for being sick I will get better thanks for asking. We are counting the days to our next trip. This was our longest trip to FW so far with 16 nights. It was going to be 17 but we left a day early since I got sick. This is the first trip to disney where me and the DW just took it easy and slept late. We spent more time in FW then in the parks. Use to we opened the parks and shut them down. This trip there was alot of looping and refilling the mug.:thumbsup2

So sorry that your trip ended that way. It was really nice meeting you. It always seems that the time goes so fast when we are there. We were going to come back by your site, but never made it there. The 5 days we were there just flew by, and Sunday's rain didn't help. It wasn't so bad meeting Donnie either! we are at the fort a lot and don't want to avoid anybody!!! Hope to meet some over New Years.

Yup- we had so much fun.:cool1: We only got up early 1 time and we slept in most of the time and took advantage of the EMH at night. I'm back at work :surfweb:- but I can just close my eyes and feel the wind in my hair riding on the golf cart and the smell FW has and the Meadows & Settlement trading posts... I WANNA GO BACK!!!!!!!! Oh well- we're already planning the next trip and that makes it better :thumbsup2 I miss the :mickeybar too (I didn't used to like them but now they're my favorite)
It was really fun meeting fellow Disers- DH & I had a lot of fun with Donnie and his daughter. They'll always be part of our Toy Story Mania memories since they were there the first time we ever rode it--- thanks for the wonderful memory

Yeh, we didn't get the loop we wanted but we ended up really liking it. Having a golf cart made all the difference though. There was plenty of room on our site- but we're highly looking forward to a premium site next trip- they look VERY roomy.

TCD- I'm glad you remembered seeing us! :) It was fun meeting everyone that we were able to meet.

Ooooh, ooooh! I have a story! I went spelunking under the vines and brush along the old right-of-way behind 700 loop and found a spike! It was just laying to the side of the old ties, probably pulled when they removed the rails, and forgotten. It is clearly from a smaller scale train than modern railways as the spike is maybe 60% normal size. Anyway, pretty cool souvenir in my book.

Hey Lone-Star! I somehow just found this and am enjoying your pictures. I was glad to get to meet you and your wife while I was talking with Donnie on the side of the road on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. (You stopped to make sure we hadn't broken down. I looked horrendous, just having gone for a run which included retrieving the cart from the Settlement.)

Anyway, I thought I'd say hi! Hope you are well now - sounds like a rough end to your trip!

Glad you like the pic's
I found this on allears. Its really good.

School Bread
A Norwegian Specialty
Baked sweet dough filled with pastry cream
topped with toasted coconut

Just in case you are a cook.

Ingredients

2 pints water
3 ounces dry yeast
3 1/2 ounces sugar
2 1/2 ounces butter (melted)
1 teaspoon cardamom
2 pounds flour
1 whole egg
8 ounces shredded coconut
12 ounces vanilla custard

Method

Heat water and butter to 95 degrees. Mix flour, sugar, cardamom, yeast, and egg together for five minutes until dough is stiff. Form it like a ball and place in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let proof for 45 minutes, or until dough has doubled in size. Roll the dough out like a sausage and cut into five ounce pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and put them on a non-stick sheet pan and let them proof for 30 minutes. Bake for 15 minutes in 375 degree oven. Let cool.

Mix powdered sugar and water (use small amounts until proper consistency is achieved) to make icing and place in shallow pan. Form hole in bread using finger. Dip bread in icing (hole side down) and sprinkle with shredded coconut. Using pastry bag, squeeze vanilla custard inside of hole and swirl at top for decoration.

Vanilla Custard

Ingredients

1 2/3 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 egg yolks
1 tablespoon corn starch

Method

In heavy saucepan bring milk to a boil. Set aside. In bowl, beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla until the mixture doubles by volume. Add the hot milk a few drops at a time to temper the eggs. Mix well after each addition. Place in metal mixing bowl and place over double boiler. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add in a thin stream while stirring constantly until it thickens to proper consistency. It must not boil. Cool by placing pan in ice bath.

If you go past the 2000 loop to the group camping/tenting area take a right and there is a sandy parking area drive to the end of it and look to the left and there it is.
