My lilies were ruined last year by the infamous poop bug but to my surprise they are all up this year. However I noticed some baby poop bugs starting to devour the plants. I bought Sevin 5, but haven't had a chance to apply it.

Mamu or Amid - did you not have a solution last year? Can't remember. If you do, please share again.

Yes the red poop bugs are back. I've only noticed them in the back yard. I do try not to use sprays, although sometimes you have to. You could try a home brew. There is a thread in this fourm that has a few.

I do have 2 great bug finders this year. All day long my 2 granddaughters check out the lilies. Mamu! Mamu! There's a red bug on the flowers.

I have not found a product to kill them. I am now into the pinch and squeeze method. In addition...make sure you look under all the leaves and smush any of the orangish colored eggs.

GD bugs! I had nothing but a stalk and a bloom last year by the end of the season.

Shep I do not have a pic of the poop beetle, but he's red, eats the leafs off your lilies and leaves poops 4 times his size. We all had problems with this bug last year. This is an article about the poop bug. (Amid named the red beetle the poop bug)
