View Full Version : Dhay's lazy TR

So I was not going to do one. I don't usually have the time or energy to get into this, but I do remember how much looking at these helped me over the past year so I would like to help newer brides. All I really have are some pics from family though so that is what I will post. I will start with some vendor and dining reviews and then I will add some pics.

Please feel free to ask any questions!

SBP December 5, 2008 at 2:30pm and 5:30pm dinner at Victoria & Albert's in the private room.

Upgraded a bit of floral (in the bouquet, hair flower, bouttenierre, memorial rose, rose petals to toss)

Photog: Misty Miotto

Colors- Royal blue and orange

And I am not going to do A++++++++++++++ no matter how much I liked someone. It is a basic A+ - F scale. When everyone gave A+++++++++ for everything it did nto really help me. I am a very linear thinker.

Vendor reviews:

Beaute Speciale A
Ana was amazing. We had a trial in May and I liked it but my hair was shorter so it did not come out the right way. Due to no fault of hers. But for the wedding day I got EXACTLY what I was looking for. She was awesome. And what I love about her is she will not blindly do what you ask. She will tell you if and why she doen't think it works and I feel that it really important.

Misty Miotto A+
I have not seen the pics yet but her and Nelio were amazing to work with. The pics in my siggie and most others I post from the family are from my BIL and he followed us around with his kick *** camera and took pics when Misty posed us etc. So if HIS came out this good I CANNOT wait til i see hers!!!!!!!!!

Floral C-
I looved the end result of my bouquet. LOVED it. But I had ordered it with a touch of blue delphiniums and it came with a lot more. No big deal. BUT they were wilted in the bouquet when I got it and to me that was unaccpetable. The bouquet was not a big deal to me and I was just going to cut them out myself but Ana convinced me to have them do it. It was obvious they were wilted and I do not think it should have been sent to me that way. And I decided I did not like the blue anyways in the bouquet, that I just wanted orange and the blue ribbon. So I had them remove it. I loved everything else though. The cala lillies were gorgeous. Everything else came out just right and the other flowers were super fresh. And I loved the hair flower.

Disney bakery A
The cake was very tasty and yummy and I am not a cake person. And it came out just like I wanted.

Let me know if I forgot anyone. I will do dining in another post.

V&A A+
Worth every penny. It really was. We had the private fireplace room and it was perfect. Our families loved it. And my uncle was brought to the hospital the morning of my wedding so my aunt and uncle could not come to the wedding. He is still there in Celebration. My aunt wanted to come to the dinner and surprise me but she came right from the hospital in jeans and a tee. If you know V&A they have a VERY strict dress code. But the let my aunt join us no problem. I think they realized i would have walked away if they said she could not join us since she violated the dress code.

We will go back here every trip. It was yummy. And some guy asked our server who he could buy dinner for with his leftover dining plan points or whatever, and she suggested us so we got a free dinner. After what was going on with my uncle, we needed a break and this was it. It was perfectly timed pixie dust :) Thanks guy!!!!:worship:

Segway tour A+
One of the highlights of our trip. DH loved it and is still talking about how he wants to buy one:scared1:

Wishes Cruise A
We loved it and had an awesome driver. But it is a lot of money for 1 1-1/2 hours. I ordered champagne and begged to be able to bring leftover wedding cake onboard because with my uncle we did not get to eat. I was busy making my family tell me the real deal since no one wanted to ruin my day. I was pissed. Families' health trumps everything so just tell me!!! After speaking with 4 pole, they let me bring it. We enjoyed the cruise and it was worth the money for the one time. No need to do it again ever.

Bistro de Paris D
Good atmosphere crappy food

Brown Derby B
It was good but kinda pricey for lunch. I prefer Yak and Yetis for lunch table service. And I am still perplexed that everyone raves about the grapefruit cake. i ordered it, and they gave us a free dessert- some chocolate mousse thingy and it was much better!

Cali Grill A
Very yummy. The server was great and we got free champagne, MK confetti, and dessert. We will also try to eat here every visit.

Yak & Yeti B
Second time we ate here. We like it. I hate counter service and they have good food. It was the one place where the server did not even say congrats and that really annoyed DH.

Grand FLoridian cafe B+
We eat here all the time and we like it. It is slightly more expensive for lunch than park food and I love the soups and crab cake.

Counter service places are all the same to me. It is park food. Cosmic rays is no better than Pecos Bill is no better than any other counter service.

I think that is pretty much everywhere.

Hey ladies I am back. I posted a few Misty pics on the other page, and once I have the CD I will post a ton.
I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for photography. And the other vendors I rated well in my vendor review.

I am so excited to have access to the online gallery!!!!! It is nice to kind of relive the day we spent so much time planning. DH and I were saying that if we fight and it is stupid, we should take the time to look at our weddin gpics, remember how happy we were that day to be getting married to each other, and it will help us put things in perspective.

As someone who lost a mother way too soon, I really appreciate the importance of pictures. To the extent I carry a camera with me everywhere I go!

I have some more pics since I got the CD so I thought I would post. I know many brides are deciding between photographers so I hope this helps :)
